I think they're probably being tricked into taking the enhancing drugs at the lab. we also saw that the substance Tony is using for enhancement looks the same as what they're using in Charlie's lab, so.. there's definitely a reason they showed us this.

I felt the opposite, haha. The script is a disaster but the actors are doing their best.

^ yep. he was upset when charlie was chosen to race instead of him, threw a tantrum, and then got used by tony to tamper with charlie's car to cause the accident. when babe found out, dean tried to kill him, and then he ended up in prison (apparently).

I finished watching S1 yesterday and I'll be honest, I only managed to finish it because I loved Charlie and Babe. Imagine my surprise when I came to this page & saw people shipping Babe with a guy he's had like two scenes with 🤣😭

I think it's partially because the novel author is the same as The Double. I remember back when that was still airing, many people were recommending this as something else to look forward to.

"Lament" is an angsty word too, but in a more sorrowful context. I loved that title, I'm sad they changed it 😔

this drama is based off the "sequel" novel, which takes place maaaaaaaany years later. however, this drama is not directly following the novel plot. there are some copyright restrictions related to Ancient Love Poetry, so they were forced to change some things from the novel, which is why the backstory is so different.

this is pretty much a standalone with its own backstory, so there is no connection.

I looooooved the last arc so much. I was pretty mixed on this drama overall, but those episodes really pulled me in.

the epilogue was actually filmed quite recently compared to the rest of the drama, which could explain why you're feeling that way 😅
