In the novel, Park did horrendous things. They just didn't show it in the series.
They provided plenty of clues as to there terrible thing that Park did to Wayo, but it wasn't explained. Also, if you watch the last two episodes closely you may figure out that Park had an accomplice.
Wayo may have behaved badly using Park to make P'Pha jealous, but what Park did was unspeakable. This will be resolved in Season 3.
