"I find women who bring about my protective instinct attractive. I feel like if they are tall, they are going to be fine living alone. I like women who keep me worried. And skinny women tend to be like that."
The whole cast was pretty much perfect and the series was authentic to the source material (changes made were appropriate adaptations to allow the 8ep run). Only nos for me were Kaya, young Zoro and Kuina. Was also pleasantly surprised by CGI and VFX. Buggy was done so well.
I don't think you have read enough comments to make an objective decision. Just because you selectively read bad…
How is it selective when I just scrolled through the first 3 pages of comments? I didn't pick out- it was just something I noticed people point out together? Ofc there is good feedback- but if there are more than just a few people who point out the same thing, it is something to consider no? Next time don't make assumptions like this just to support your point purely because you share a deferring opinion.
ML's mother shouldn't have gotten the redemption or forgiveness she did that easily. Same goes with Kamiyama who was a whole ick. Other than these 2 sore spots in the show, I really did like the main couple.
And about the black comedy, I'm not sure who are you referring to who said that it was a black comedy, but I could…
No one said it isn't a comedy. The commenter clearly said black comedy aka DARK/MORBID HUMOUR. I agree- the show is definitely not to be categorised as such. The scenes you covered were not intended (by the writers) to be dark humour or something to be laughed at. Something like a character passing was not meant to make you laugh, so even if you did, it's not black comedy. As you said, it's just meant to be tragic. Absurdity does not equal to black comedy lol.
Ikr because if based on the age timeline, FL should be mid or late 30s, but the actress is 50. It’s kinda off…
Exactly. I'm enjoying the show, but its just something I am noticing while watching that does bother me a little. 11 or 10 years- tomato, tomahto. And @RinVyal, her looking older due to her lifestyle was not the intention of the show. If it was, I wouldn't mind it. But they're commenting IN THE SHOW that she's supposed to look too young to be a high schooler's mom. Clearly, a few of the other moms look younger than her. It's still a lackluster casting choice.
Imo they should've picked a younger actress. She definitely looks old enough to be a high schooler's mom. We're supposed to believe the leads are around the same age in the drama when they're 11 years apart irl?
Edit: Don't get me wrong- I like the show and they have good chemistry. But what I mean is that her age does not align with the intentions of the writers. She's SUPPOSED to LOOK young for a high schooler's mom. Her looking older from her lifestyle means she should pass off as the same age as the rest of the moms (some who do look younger than her). And 10 or 11 years apart- does it make much of a diff? Fyi, actor does not affect my thoughts about this. He passes as his character's age in the show.
I think you should give it a try because of the last two episodes, it might change your mind
As already established, the visual (CGI, action) quality of the show is bad and the content is bland. I'm not going to waste any more time on it. Reading the top reviews of people who have finished it is enough for me to know if I would have changed my mind.
Have to note it's an old interview though, don't think he has commented on it.
