question.. was mai’s dad this manipulative/ at all manipulative in the novel, like from what i recall that man was happy sunshine n rainbows but i mean it’s been ages since i read the novel ngl
i’ve been seeing the deleted scenes from the teaser on their yt channel and oh. my. word. THE CHEMISTRY. PHENOMENAL i fear this will be my new obsession when this airs
sigh ig we can say it’s been officially cancelled… Maya who would’ve played Phraphye in the series was cast in a bl series, called ‘The Poor’, she’s set to be part of the show’s gl side couple with another actress. Disappointed by the cancellation cuz the plot seemed quite interesting and unique but i’m looking forward to seeing maya and the gl couple
lowkey interested to see how the pacing of this will go, i’ve seen many people say that 8 episodes is not enough but sometimes (like the r4u and rwm series) the pacing is well thought out. i’ve not read the novel, so do those who have read it think it can be done well within 8 episodes??
A random thought popped in my head. It would be awesome if Motion Minds bought the right to the sequel book, Ferris…
ooh wait yes!! especially with neko already being so popular, i feel like disappointment might be inevitable for some fans within this series when she isn’t in the final pair
this may have just gone over my head or smth but i was curious if anyone knew the timeline of the show, like did the plot of the episodes so far (not including flashbacks ofc) occur within a week or smth???
sigh i fear i haven’t seen such a worse sequel to a show like this in terms of storytelling omds. like why decide to allude to the fact that hiroko has cheated (and i mean im sure she hasn’t because that would erase all character development thus far) to create more conflict to an already frustrating story. tbh up until this point i gave the storyline some grace because ik that what hiroko is going through is also a genuine struggle that gay people face so i thought they could develop this beautifully (if they used a lil thing called communication 😃) but they did not. this whole alleged cheating conflict thing would honestly just make more sense if it was ayaka, like then at least hiroko could ‘wake up’ maybe have a big heartfelt confession scene and communicate. like we have two episodes left, and two MASSIVE conflicts that have shown no signs of being resolved…
need someone to explain the plot n what’s going on with all the flashbacks cuz im so confused. like why have we suddenly introduced a new character who seems to only be featured in the past and then in the latest episode they have basically not mentioned dawan at all in the present- but im assuming this is because maybe the actress left the company so they wrote her out of it but i mean clearly they did not do that well enough. i saw the tag saying that this is adapted from a web novel so i think we could all benefit from someone just spoiling the ending atp like who even is the endgame couple. it’s honestly sort of laughable how bad this show is and its plot, they’re literally giving the established gay couple way more screen time probs cuz it gets more clicks, cuz i’ve heard way more people talking/ admiring them n the other side couple instead of the main couple(if that can even be properly established)
I wanna start this series with my girlfriend tomorrow, is it good? I'm a little uncomfortable with really big…
although there’s an age gap with the characters, the actresses are 28 and 30 so you don’t really feel the age gap as much as you probably would if they had the same age gap irl
no cuz soyeon is probs the most emotionally intelligent/ attractive one imo and the fact that no one has shown…
that’s so true actually, i mean 7 days also really isn’t a lot of time for someone as introverted as her to open up as well 😖😖but it seems like she remained friends/ friendly with most of the cast tbh from the extra content the show has put out
no cuz soyeon is probs the most emotionally intelligent/ attractive one imo and the fact that no one has shown…
idk maybe it’s the dating culture but the way they justify them liking a person solely on looks most of the time irks me like soyeon is literally so pretty too i just don’t get it!!
The 10th episode is clearly not the last one.... ig there will be 1 or 2 episodes more? AHHHH I CAN'T WAITTTT
saw someone mention that 5/7 days have been shown over the 10 episodes so at this rate the show will probs end after the 12th episode showing the 7th day
south korea doesn’t have a ban on the production of queer media itself, it’s just heavily stigmatised because…
so the show is able to air, but there is definitely some very conservative groups in korea showing heavy opposition to the programme. however, in a country like china, this program would not generally be able to air on a streaming service like this due to the ban on lgbt media as well as marriage
THE CHEMISTRY. PHENOMENAL
i fear this will be my new obsession when this airs
