eek i’m ngl i did end up paying for the eng version of the book on ‘meb’, but if you go on a site called scribd im pretty someone would’ve uploaded it on there for free
yk this season was full of such frustrating moments, but i’m ngl i did cry at the end. i first watched season 1 as it was airing and cried for a different reason at that ending. but for this season, maybe it was the 3/4 year wait, the ending made me realise how much they had truly grown as characters and i think that was so heartwarming. the feelings of the two season are so completely different i think, and although i hate the miscommunication trope with a burning passion i think i can maybe forgive the writer simply because of the whole story that they managed to tell. i don’t think there could’ve been a better ending for this imo. i must also give a shout out to my girl enno cheng, she literally became my favourite taiwanese singer after she made the soundtrack for the first season, she also did so for this season, so id highly recommend checking her music out, it’s beautiful!!
just finished the novel and this is arguably one of the best written thai gl novels i’ve read so far (take notes chao planoy…) anyways im very excited, lmsy were literally the PERFECT cast for this oml
I only read half of the novel but then I dropped it because at first, it looked like it was following the novel…
i get what you mean about the show feeling a bit meh, it’s unfortunate cuz i really liked R4U, it’s one of my favourite gls tbh so watching this show definitely feels like i’ve been let down a bit

no fr, like if they were going to give us the wedding flashback scene so much then they could’ve slowly revealed parts of the villains identity through it. because of the lacklustre pacing of the site it sort of felt like we’re just being ‘told’ plot points of the show which just ruins any type of investment someone could have in the show, because what’s the point when the answer is just some random character that they introduce ‘properly’ last minute
this show is a bit frustrating, they only had 8 episodes, and considering the fact that R4U was able to (imo) fit the storyline from the book perfectly into 8 episodes i wasn’t *too* worried about this series. but it seems that they’ve introduced some more storylines, and changed characters (changing fiat’s sister to a brother and then giving him a love story) which led to so much lost time. instead of the side couple they could’ve slowly revealed fiat’s background, made his reveal as the villain seem more like a betrayal for the viewers as much as it was to karan (because let’s be fr that was girlys only proper friend). i fear if i had watched this show not knowing the storyline prior, since i read the book, i would’ve not been as invested as i am rn. it’s a shame for this show because i truly believe that the author and the books are a hidden gem, and i hoped this series would’ve done so much more but it hasn’t, they should’ve at least given an extra episode or two to properly unpack the fiat storyline but ig not
So, 1FL's ex-gf is a time traveler, too? But why red? Why was she in deep pain?Or, wait. She did not time travel,…
it’s karan’s sister, she has the ability to stop time (if i recall correctly), in the book it’s described better, but basically the sister stopped time for 10 minutes and got everyone to safety, and resumed time. kliao would’ve been dead if not for karan’s sister stopping time, which is why karan’s sister has now also given up 10 years of her lifespan in order to save kliao
i’m ngl i’m really annoyed they gave the dad a lil redemption (attempt imo), cuz the book straight up just ignores the entire family completely after they do kliao like that. in the book kliao literally cuts ties with them and views karan and her friends as her family, which is such a beautiful message!!
yeah, i mean it’s another reason to hate the dad tbh, he cared so much about ‘looking’ like the perfect family from the outside that he never thought to actually emulate those roles properly within the family
The first season didn't end with them being together, and I don't think the second season should either. Make…
i do see where you’re coming from, but idk if logistically a third season would’ve ever worked, however i do encourage you to watch the two latest episodes if you haven’t already, it might offer a bit of what you’re looking for
ok so ik i’ve been finding the couple’s relationship draining and a lot of people think that they won’t/ shouldn’t end up together. but i was perusing gagaoolala’s site the other day and under their lgbt+ marriage section they put this show…with the title card looking like they’re in wedding dresses. im assuming that means they end up marrying each other, which is looking kinda insane rn, so im interested to see how they try and ‘fix’ their relationship in these last episodes
i totally agree actually, like i need everyone to whack the dad for me, he isn’t getting nearly enough hate imo. i just hope nene enacts her plan against him and stops this tirade against the siblings cuz you’re right, like most of her efforts rn are against the siblings and not against the man she supposedly hates so much
oh yeah fs, but i think that’s just because she’s obviously gone through intense trauma and she’s also projecting her own problems and insecurities onto the two siblings, which is why she hates them as well as the dad. everyone in this show needs a lil therapy session 😃
