I'm already at loss for words to describe how perfect this series is. I'm 100% sure it will be my 2024 fav one!…
I'm right there with you! This series is beyond perfect, and it's totally my top pick for 2024 too! š And Cher being their biggest shipper? That was just too adorable and hit me right in the feels. !š Let's fangirl together over this masterpiece!
I'm devouring these flakey croissants, gearing up to drool over the hunks on screen, and then hyping myself up…
Yoryak's physique is absolutely jaw-dropping and impressive. In the steam room scene, he's showcasing those broad shoulders and chiseled pecs. Those abs? They're a perfectly sculpted six-pack that would make anyone do a double-take. His whole look screams power and fitness, with an effortless "I woke up like this" vibe. Simply put, Yoryak is serving major body goals while casually lounging in the steam room. The steamy atmosphere just adds to the allure, making him look even more like a fitness god.š„°
Oh my gosh! How can I even begin to rave about this BL series? We've got buff guys, pink bubbles, hilarious moments, and even a shoutout to HPV vaccine awarenessātalk about covering all the bases!
I am obsessed with this episode! The jealousy trope was so refreshingly new and never once felt boring. Major props to the production team for that.
I was convinced that Yoryak had feelings for Dee first, but this episode flipped the script with Dee realizing his own jealousy after pretending. His jealousy is perfectly timed and not the least bit annoying.
Great's body is, of course, incredible, but his expressive face is what really steals the show. The balcony confession rehearsal scene? Pure gold. Yoryak's tender expressions made it so clear why Dee falls head over heels. And then, Yoryakās seamless switch to chatting with his brother on the phoneāitās like a masterclass in how guys talk to their crush versus their buddies. Spot on!
That scene where Yoryak holds Dee's ankle while supervising his sit-ups had me laughing so hard I almost spit out my coffee. This BL nails the comedy without being too over-the-top or campy.
And Dee trying to cool his jealousy by pouring water in the steam roomāonly to create more steamāwas just pure comedic genius!
Sweetest moments ever: 1. Yoryak having a nightmare, and Dee comforting him by resting his cheek on Yoryakās chest, with their fingers intertwined. 2. Dee scratching Yoryak's back. 3. Boyfriend POV IG Story photos.
PS. Dee has a mole on his back, and I cannot wait for the scene where Yoryak kisses it. So cute!

If thereās a second season, Iām in for some major awkwardness. When Playboyy aired before, it was late at night in Japan, but now that Iām back in California, itās going to be the crack of dawn. Oh man! Am I seriously going to start my mornings off by going nuts? š¤£
I remember last Friday, right after rolling out of bed, I dove into the latest episode. But when Ming attacked Joe at Joe's place, I hit the brakes. It took a solid chill-out session before I could finish the episode.
I've had to remind myself that if I keep despising Ming, I might not make it through this BL show. My problem is, I have a clear-cut line between love and hate, and I canāt root for a romance I can't get behind. Honestly, I've been trying to find some redeeming qualities in Ming, even shifting my frustration to Tong, another character I can't stand. But Mingās good points are scarce, to say the least.
This BL show is so intense that I donāt want to rewatch it. Based on my shaky memory, here are the only somewhat decent things about Ming, and theyāre pretty pitifully few.
First, heās got gratitude towards his sister. She apparently went through the wringer to save him. Maybe he feels guilty about it. Knowing Tong fell for his sister and even proposed mightāve pushed him to study abroadāout of sight, out of mind. Part of it could be to bless his sister (but let's be real, he probably needed some serious healing time).
Second, he does some sweet things for Joe, like washing dishes in the kitchen (acts of service) and buying gifts like a watch and matching mugs (gift-giving).
A lot of fans think his personality is a train wreck, and Iām on that bandwagon. This isn't my field, but Mingās character screams the dark triad (narcissism, Machiavellianism, psychopathy). It's tough to see his actions in a good light.
In the latest episode, I still canāt find anything to empathize with. Heās still using his status, position, and money to pull off shady, borderline criminal moves, like having Joe spied on. Thereās zero sign of remorse for his past actions.
Is he driven by possessiveness or trying to make amends out of guilt? Iām still not seeing a shred of genuine love.
And Tong? Heās even more useless. Is the writer trying to say that everyoneās favorite superstar is a total jerk? If thatās the writer's way of being ironic, then maybe thatās the only reason Tongās in the story.
Imma assume this is partially aimed at me, amongs other people, cuz i am leaving 'hate' comments, and imma also…
I see you, and Iām here for it! If this is aimed at you, letās clear the air. Critiquing characters doesnāt mean hating the show ā you can love a drama and still call out its flaws. Seriously, ratings arenāt one-size-fits-all. Comparing dramas like that? Total nonsense. We all have different standards and expectations, and thatās what makes discussions interesting. So, letās keep it real and enjoy the drama for what it is. Keep slaying those comments!
Seriously, I want revenge Joe to make Tong pay first and then make Ming pay. I want him to take the role away…
Thatās quite the dramatic plot twist youāve got there! I can almost see the flames of revenge flickering in Joeās eyes. Taking Tong down a notch, exposing his sabotage, and then helping Pao reclaim his rightful place as a top director? Thatās poetic justice. And Mingās envy over Joe teaming up with Sol? Classic! It sounds like a thrilling ride filled with drama, retribution, and a satisfying dose of comeuppance. Can't wait to see how it all plays out!
The storyline flows seamlessly, blending the two Joesā lives. I havenāt read the original novel, but the author clearly nailed intertwining their identities.
Iām thrilled Joe now has a mom. After all the heartbreak, he deserves some motherly love! That window scene with his mom was beautifully shot, full of depthāloved it.
Joeās look on set? Stunning! Patterned button-up, rolled sleeves, dark pants, brown belt, and a black beret. His thick eyebrows and big eyes popped even more.š„°šš
After hating Ming last episode, I canāt wait for the new Joe to give him some payback. And Sol? The second he steps into the elevator, I smell trouble! But hey, itās the drama that keeps us glued, right? Bring on the juicy stuff!
When Joe grabbed the decanter and poured wine, getting Mingās secretary to drink, I knew he was a whole new Joe! I canāt wait to see more of this revenge arc play out.
Honestly, this series of special episodes is pretty low on plot. Itās all about fake weddings and vacation trips, just to add some sweet, romantic vibes.
But I gotta say, Jiang Chiās new hairstyle looks awesome, and his face is softer than ever. Plus, his kisses with Bu Xia? Theyāve got more chemistry than a high school lab experiment!
The whole Japanese thing of keeping personal boundaries super tight and not really showing your feelings has thrown a lot of wrenches into Kazuhito and Natsukawa's relationship.
What they think, feel, say, and do are often like a jazz band with no conductor ā sometimes they're ahead of the beat, and sometimes they're way behind.
As a non-Japanese viewer, watching their love story feels like a heart-wrenching soap opera. But after working in Japan for a few years, I've realized that most Japanese folks see this kind of drama as totally normal. I guess they're just pros at the whole "grin and bear it" routine.
Gagagoolalaās subtitles often miss the mark. I hate to nitpick, but when Hayama was chatting with Yamase in the locker room, translating ććć (saa) as "Maybe" wouldāve nailed it way better than "I donāt know."
āMaybe, but Iām not telling you.ā No wonder Shirasakiās emotions are on a rollercoaster!
After watching the latest episode, it hit me that method actors need to be careful not to go full "fake it 'til you make it" and end up living in their roles. Being able to step out of character is part of the professional toolkit. This BL series dips its toes into that territory.
I noticed Shirasaki looked different after realizing he was in love with Hayama. Maybe it's the hairstyle or makeup, or maybe Niiharaās acting is just that good. Either way, his expressions have softened up like butter on a hot pancake.
Even with its quirks, this BL series deserves a shoutout. The fact that the actors have to juggle two sets of lines for the play within the play is no small feat. Theyāre really earning their acting stripesāand maybe a nap or two!
I am telling you we need plot twist with Pun finding someone more interesting and interested in him. (I don't…
Haha, totally get you! Maybe Pun needs a plot twist where he finds someone who actually makes his heart race. Honestly, Iām over the will-they-wonāt-they with Chain. Bring on someone new and exciting for Pun!
Maybe Fangās just more mature and busy with architecture work, so he doesnāt join the antics. It might seem like heās not into Tan, but this episode shows heās totally smitten in his own way.
Q and Toeyās drama was thrilling, but now itās like they hit a plot speed bump. Did their love GPS lose signal?
Phum and Peemās romance will be a slow burn. Thank goodness for the magical volunteer camp! Nothing sparks love like building latrines together, right? Wait, they donāt do that in Thai camps.š¤£
As for Pun and Chain, Iāve given up expecting much. If their story happens, great. If not, my heartās already on vacation!
Sweetie, I keep looking at those vampiresā black outfits and thinking, āHow about a bow here, a big red flower there, and letās throw the guys in pleated skirts?ā Iām imagining their costumes as fabulously campy as Vivienne Westwood or John Galliano.
I wanna start it. Seeing your comment, I know I'll like it.
Hey, stranger! Haven't seen you on MDL for ages. You changed your nickname! I miss you. š
You should totally check it out. I thought the first episode was pretty good. I mean, we chaos train folks always find our own fun in those BLs everyone else overlooks!

The stunts he did on his own were seriously impressive. I canāt get enough of this! Poom is totally the main reason Iām hooked on this BL series.
