Henceforth, I might need alcohol to go through these comments. It'll also make more sense to take a shot anything…
What a hilarious idea! Every time there's a cringe-worthy scene or the boys flirt in their undies, we take a shot. Let's see if we end up as blissfully tipsy as the characters in a BL drama!

Oh, I'm just dabbling in words! You, with your editor's eye, must find my prose like a charming amateur's art. If it lands on the NYT Best Seller list, well, that would be a plot twist worthy of a novel!

This series is turning into "Who killed Laura Palmer?" kind of affair. If that Nant guy shows up eventually, I'll…
If Nant does show up, it might just be the biggest plot twist since someone found out coffee in Twin Peaks is actually just really good hot water. Keeping my fingers crossed he's just off somewhere enjoying a quiet cup of joe!

This series is like a deadly-serious parody of the early aughts psycho-sexual indie cinema fervour that gave us…
Absolutely, it's like the series is tip-toeing on the edge of daring cinema, but then remembers it forgot its safety net. It's juggling so many themes, it could join the circus! And as for the mystery – at this point, it's anyone's guess. We're all in this wild ride together, just trying to make sense of the *gestures at everything* too!

I laughed so hard with this episode. I had just come to the conclusion that the whole series is a product endorsment…
Seems like ‘Rich’ brand is the unofficial star of the show – they’ve got the whole cast covered, literally! Maybe they’re planning a spin-off: ‘The Adventures of Super Undies’.

The music was so unnecessary dramatic when Prom and Nont were talking on the roof that I thought Batman was going…
If Batman really showed up, he might use his classic deep voice to inform Nont of Nant’s whereabouts. 😃

On My Dear Gangster Oppa Dec 8, 2023
As the final episode of “My Dear Gangster Oppa” loomed, a realization dawned on me like a predictable sunrise in a low-budget movie: this drama was cruising on the sea of clichés.

The trio – Guy, Tew, and Wahl – were like characters from a vintage playbook, reenacting scenes so familiar, I could have scripted them myself.

Guy’s emotional journey was as predictable as a sitcom laugh track. Watching him oscillate between Tew and Wahl was like observing a rerun of every love triangle ever – you know who’s going to end up with whom from the first scene. His decision to return to Tew felt as fresh as last week’s sitcom punchline – you saw it coming a mile away.

Tew, with his ‘noble’ breakup, was playing the martyr card like a magician with only one trick up his sleeve. His strategy was as effective as using a band-aid to fix a leaking dam. It was a classic move, one that left me yawning instead of gasping.

And Wahl – oh, Wahl. His confession to Guy was as ill-timed and uninspired as a Christmas jingle in July. His actions were the epitome of the ‘third wheel’ trope, adding to the pile of predictability that was already sky-high.

So, as the final episode beckoned, my finger hovered over the play button, but my enthusiasm was as deflated as a balloon after a birthday party.

Actually, I like it. Welcome to Episode 4 of 'Playboyy,' where things are finally looking up, kind of like finding a decent cup of coffee in a gas station – unexpected but pleasantly surprising.

Phop is knee-deep in the world of online, ahem, 'friendships.' He's offered a starring role in a film by Nuth, which is about as artsy as a toddler's finger painting but pays better. Phop's dilemma is a classic 'rent vs. morals' scenario, and his bank account seems to be winning the argument.

Then there's Captain. He's trying so hard to prove he's straight, it's like watching a penguin try to fly. His grand plan? Get Zouey to drag up for a homemade rom-com. It’s so cringey it's almost art.

In the midst of this, we have the Teena and Zouey saga. After a miscommunication that would make Shakespeare facepalm, Teena chooses to be a gentleman. It's a refreshing plot twist in a show where good decisions are as rare as a unicorn sighting.

Now, onto Nont, our makeshift sleuth in the curious case of Nant's disappearance. He uncovers a video that throws suspicion on Prom, only to find it's all legally kinky. The plot’s getting so thick, you could cut it with a knife.

This episode is a juggling act of convoluted relationships, identity crises, and moral gymnastics. It's not just about the drama; it's about understanding the why behind the cringe.

As for the big mystery of Nant’s disappearance, it's evolving like a game of Clue played in a hall of mirrors. Nont’s big reveal is connecting the dots in a way that’s actually compelling – a welcomed change in a show that's had more lows than highs.

In short, Episode 4 of 'Playboyy' is like finding an oasis in a desert of TV mediocrity. It’s not perfect, but it’s a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, this show might have some tricks up its sleeve. Here's to hoping it doesn't trip over its own plotlines in the next episode.

Title Playboyy Spoiler
Literally, I've been watching from the start only for Teena but I gotta be real last week my perseverance in finishing…
After watching three episodes, I've gotta say, Teena really sticks in my memory (and yeah, part of it is definitely his Greek statue-like bod!). I can picture him with my eyes closed, even though I started off mostly seeing things from Zouey's perspective.

From the brief encounter between Teena and Zouey on campus, we get a sneak peek into Teena's social status. He's a scholarship grad who returned to his fancy alma mater to pose nude for an art class. And Zouey, oh boy, he refers to him as Phee (senior).

Now, Zouey's practically hypnotized by Teena's physique in that art class, to the point where he has to bolt outside to cool off. Teena, ever the smooth operator, chats up the teacher for a 15-minute break and heads out to find Zouey. And what happens next, well, let's just say it's pretty clear.

In the restroom, Zouey's spilling his insecurities, saying he's too plain, too unappealing for someone like Teena. But Teena, Mr. Charm himself, insists Zouey's cute, even finding his scars and moles attractive. That's when Teena really caught my attention.

At first, Teena seemed a bit slick, like he's trying to conquer Zouey, the virgin, as if he's just a fun challenge. His sweet, gentle approach made me suspect he had some ulterior motives in getting close to Zouey.

But the end of episode one throws a curveball – we see Teena, Soong, and Jump at a reunion with ex-colleagues. It's a red flag when Soong admits he's not in love with First, it's all about the money. And Teena drops that his new crush (Zouey) is cute and looks rich. I'll admit, I thought Teena was after Zouey for more than just his virginity – maybe some cash, too.

Yet, episode two reveals that last month, Teena, Soong, and Jump left Playboyy Lounge, fed up with exploitation and lack of choice in clients. Their departure became a joke online, but I found it intriguing. It seemed like they were all looking to cash in on their muscles without compromising their dignity, maybe even hoping to land a wealthy cutie.

Teena's a bit different from Soong and Jump. He went to university on a sports scholarship, giving him an edge and the model gig. Whether Teena continued hustling after leaving Playboyy Lounge, we don't know. But it seems like meeting Zouey shifted his focus.

Like Soong and Jump, Teena's looking for quick riches. Yet, he never outright tries to profit from Zouey, which is one reason I dig him.

Teena's super gentle and patient with Zouey, never pushing for sex or gifts in return. But he underestimates Zouey's fear of intimacy, thinking patience might someday lead to Zouey wanting him.

In the yard, following Zouey's lead, they cover themselves in paint and kiss, but stop short of going all the way. Teena says, "We didn't make love, but I'm happy." Watching Zouey play the violin, Teena's filled with admiration, finding surprises in this guy. I think Teena's genuinely falling for Zouey.

To celebrate Zouey's top grade, they dine out fancy. Teena and Zouey share their dreams – Zouey wants an exhibition, and Teena? His dream involves Zouey. Honestly, Teena's sweet talk hits home. I don't think he's just spewing lies. That's why I even bothered translating that awkward Japanese monologue.

Counting down the hours to the latest 'Playboyy' episode – the BL drama that's deliciously odd.

I dived in three weeks back, half-clueless and all for the laughs. Treating it as a comedy skit in the comments, I've been playfully poking fun at it. But let's be real, the entertainment factor is what keeps me hooked.

Chatrooms are buzzing with folks who couldn’t care less about Zouey and Teena’s storyline, yet I’ve stumbled upon a myriad of takes on this duo.

I once attempted to walk in the shoes of every character, but boy, was it a stretch! They’re as different from me as chalk and cheese, so I quit trying to feel for them. But if there’s one character who catches my fancy, it's gotta be Teena.

Sure, he blew it in Episode 3! But back in Episode 2, hidden within his Japanese soliloquy, delivered in a thick Thai accent, he dropped a bombshell, and here's my best shot at translating it:

'I’ve never been treated like this. What's this sensation? It's like a craving that won't quit. It's more than lust; it's a longing to claim him, to be his beau.'

Tonight, I'm all in for some Teena and Zouey magic.

Diving into this BL drama is like exploring a rich tapestry of literature, drama, art, and philosophy, woven with metaphors and symbols at every scene. By the third episode, as I marveled at the profound dialogues, a peek at MDL revealed an astonishing fact: the novelist behind this intricate narrative is a neurosurgeon! It’s a brainy script in more ways than one – a masterpiece where neurons and narratives intertwine.

Totally here for the Phaya-Tharn magic! The writing's a knockout – like the scene where Phaya eavesdrops on Tharn's virgin tease, or when Tharn strides to the bar, captivated by Phaya's singing. These moments? Pure BL drama gold!

Right, the moment Babe pushes Charlie away, it’s like a snapshot of painful tension. It totally reminds me of the bittersweet tug-of-war between Ray and Sand before they got together.

I haven't started this yet. Is it interesting?
I accidentally ended up watching the first two episodes, and it's quite unique compared to other BL shows. The first thing that caught my eye was its distinct visual appeal, especially the main character's old apartment that has this early 20th-century flair. The storyline doesn't seem to be just plot-driven. Based on just two episodes, it's early to form a concrete opinion, but it seems to explore philosophical themes, like I mentioned earlier. All in all, 'interesting' doesn't quite do it justice as a recommendation.

Just like you, I thought he was joking because in the BL universe “wifey” is often used jokingly, almost like it’s just another term for “hubby” 🤣
