Top, the betrayer, now seeks to mend, he’s groveling, crying, a second chance he yearns to lend. Clears Ray’s near-arrest haze, tucks drunken Mew to bed with a tender gaze. Drives Mew’s moms in a sweet amaze, his sleepless nights, in sorrow, they blaze. Many see a change, a redemption in his phrase. But oh, there’s a crowd yelling “invasion” in a disdained raise. His unwelcomed entry into Mew’s space, his predatory vibes, they still face.
And then, with Mew’s feelings still at bay, Top inquires, “The love and hate for me, which holds a greater sway?” Oh Top, you vex us so, with your inconvenient fray. You push a conflicted soul, with no room to sway. It’s not just the betrayal that made us gray, it’s your knack for discomfort, come what may.
“Only Friends”, a show that did portray, a myriad of characters, their flaws on display. Love or loathe, there’s no wrong way. No need for ridicule, come what may. Some may talk of their ships with a hearty display, I too, can openly say, Top, Oh no, liking you is a distant bay.
Ah, the show that spins our emotions in a whimsical play, where characters dance between dismay and affray. The charm is not just in the act, but the way it makes our heart sway. Oh Top, the vexing soul, in a narrative ballet, will Mew’s heart find a way, or will disdain keep love at bay?
① The instant Boeing and Mew locked lips, with Mew's split-second surrender, I nearly thought they'd leap to the next step...
② When Sand vented out, sending a bottle crashing down from the table, shattering glass everywhere, I half expected the rest on the shelf to follow in a domino effect...
③ As Ray wept bitterly in the counselor's room, clutching an imagined Sand, I thought a camera swivel would snap us back to reality, revealing the counselor's face...
I left my visiting mom hanging, eyes glued to the screen, breath held, as I devoured episode ten without a blink. Oh, the drama!
