Did Baek Ah not know that Woo-hee was a princess? Also, I thought the three kingdoms were already unified by King…
Perhaps that's where the difference in understanding comes in. I've always been watching the international versions since they started releasing different ones so there might be important differences in editing.
It was forced indeed, but it's what had to be done. You really need to understand the perspective of that day and age, things weren't that simple. Running away without consent is pretty much asking for death. It needs to be allowed by the king, and that was the only way of it happening.

I asked the question because it's not like more than what you asked was happening in the episode anyway... I don't know what subs you watched it with but for me they literally read "I didn't know she was a princess" when talking with Haesoo.
How does that not answer the question? The country's people are unhappy and fighting, there is no unity, hence she wants it to go back to how it was, unified. She didn't want Baekah to go with the military power in risks of getting hurt or anything, therefore she "sacrificed" herself with the message that she wants peace among the kingdoms.
Again, she has to marry Jung because of the late king's doctrine. He CANNOT ignore it. Say the doctrine didn't exist and all the Wook x Haesoo past pissed him off, then he could've made the decision to send her to another town and condition her to never return, but because the late king already permitted the marriage and there are many people aware of it then he can't ignore it.
You think if they made a scenario that she ran away that it would be solid? If she ran away on her own before So became aware of the past then he would've done everything possible to find her again. Haesoo doesn't have anyone outside of the palace to go to on her own or to be sent to anyway, so in the end the best solution is to let her leave with someone she knows.
If they played the runaway card after all the past revealing then it would be highly questionable, because why would she run away all on her own when she could live with Jung. Furthermore people would question why nobody would take any actions to find her... Put a little thought into it and I hope it all makes sense to you.

Did you even watch the episode? All of those questions have answers.
Baekah said to Haesoo that he had no idea she was a princess. The whole country has been a mess since others began taking reign after Taejo, especially after So became king.
She can leave /because/ she is marrying Jung. So is going through with the late king's doctrine also because he has to, did you miss all the critique he got for trying to ignore something the late king had already approved? The past of Haesoo and Wook was the tippinng point for him to allow it.
I'm a bit conflicted because I like the actors in this and I think contrary to the many negative comments the first episode was actually really good and the acting wasn't bad either. BUT I really don't like the idea of watching a woman in a (seemingly) perfectly good marriage have an affair. I'm hoping it would end up being a misunderstanding but I'm not sure how high the chances of that are......
For me this is another drama where the only characters that keep bringing me back are the secondary ones. I don't have a care for park hana and that asshole. I just want kibum to be happy.
Been accidentally seeing the spoiler still pics of next week's eps floating around Instagram and honestly I just want to know WHY are they releasing them?! Just like the previews at the end of episodes I think they are revealing too much. They should be giving us something to make us go "oh man I'd better not miss the new eps and miss what's about to happen" not "oh so and so dies finally maybe NOW finally the main ship can sail"
Ygm? too many spoilers not enough hype.
Because of that I-am-a-big-businessman idiot, my heroes suffered so much. That bastard was no better than a zombie.…
well really train to busan was before w but literally same!! I kept staring at him like "you!!!! who are you!!! i know i know u!!!!" and when it hit me i was like "oh not again"
So much frustration with that one stupid selfish asshole guy who tried to save himself and killed tens of people in the process just to end up dead himself.
Wasn't expecting the dad's death because, I mean, the good guys always live, right?
Didn't shed a single tear until literally five seconds before the credits started rolling when I realized that the song she was singing was (most likely than not) the song that she practiced for her dad.
I really really wish I could've seen this in the cinema for the full effect...
I think the extent that people describe this movie's sadness to is a bit exaggerated.
But in fact it is a very very great movie and deserves to be a Korean blockbuster indeed.
This drama ain't even worth to rant over. So bad. 4/10 for me, only because I do admit that even though I hated…
"I don't like this drama." =/= "If you don't like to think then it's not for you."
Stop making things personal because I'm losing my damn patience with you.
I like to think. I'm in university and do my work well. However, I don't need to waste my time writing essays to someone I owe absolutely nothing to and from which I won't gain anything.
What kinda superiority complex.............................
I've literally explained myself to the same extent as you:
"I don't like this" vs "I love this"
"The acting was bad" vs "The acting was excellent"
"The story was shit" vs "The story was amazing"
YOU'RE NOT GOING DEEP EITHER SO WHY DO I HAVE TO LMAO
Go on and provide me your intelligent arguments with supporting examples from the drama with the minute markings please :))))))))
I'm not even wasting my time on ranting about the drama at this point but on arguing with your "oh I'm so entitled to an explanation" ass.
Bye.

Why are you insulted by something that has nothing to do with you?
Why do you insist on making this personal?
I don't NEED to explain anything. This is the comments section not the review section. For me this drama was so bad I don't even want to waste my energy explaining my dislike just for blind fans to come at me because they feel like they need to protect the writers, producers and actors.
I said it's not worth ranting over and that's that. I already did my reasoning like 20 pages back if you want to fight me on this.
It was the best ending the story could've possibly had.

She takes up such fresh dramas and characters I fall more and more in love with her every time.
