There better be a season 3 because the writers definitely did Kazehaya wrong. I get it, it's an interesting plot…
But I am glad they finally showed Kazehaya's feelings for Shinno in that interrogation scene. They didn't do that for the ending of season 1. But Shinno responded the same way in this season, so I assume it was the same back then as well. If that was not a confession, I don't know anymore.

There better be a season 3 because the writers definitely did Kazehaya wrong. I get it, it's an interesting plot line. If they had done it in the middle of the season. But as the ending? That's a complete foul. Unless... unless there will be a season 3 for this. *bangs head on the table*

That's how much they got me invested in Akari and Kazehaya's story.

On You're Not Normal, Either! Aug 26, 2024
I watched this a couple of years ago but recently watched it again and I think I grew to like this ever more. It's still refreshing as it was when I first saw it, but somehow feel more about the two main leads' relationship. It's cute, interesting, not quite normal but not weird at all. And I like how they dealt with that in the story. Just as in any typical Japanese film, don't expect anything when you watch this and just let it take you for the stroll (it feels more like that than a ride).

I am regretting (sort of) that I started watching this while the drama is still ongoing. Because now I gave to wait another week for the next episode. I kind of needed it yesterday already. The writer/ did really well spinning this story. It keeps the audience wondering and asking and wanting more of it.

they revealed on the drama academy award interviews :that scene when sanpei sensei was talking about his past…
That last scene in episode 9 is my favorite scene in this entire drama. Watching it, I knew that it was a one-take scene. But the fact that almost all of it was unscripted is mind blowing! The amount of trust between the two actors and between the actors and the director and the crew for them to have created that masterpiece of a scene.

It's been a while since I've watched a romance jdrama, and I am glad I picked this up. I was pleasantly surprised with how they played the amnesia genre in this drama. They did it quite well. Overall, a light watch with good storyline and script. I also liked the casting choices. Granted there were some questionable aspects in some of the characters, they were not deal breakers. The FL and ML are very likeable characters. Loved the aesthetics! The flowers, the color palette for the drama itself. The OST is very catchy! Would definitely rewatch.

Just. Simply. Beautiful. Wonderful. I am so glad that I stumbled upon some short clip of this drama in Instagram and decided to look for the drama title. The story, the cast (specially the ML and FL, but really everyone), the storytelling, the script, the editing, the soundtrack.

Title Link: Eat, Love, Kill Spoiler
I liked this drama but it won't be everyone's cup of tea. I liked its dark humor and how twisted it got sometimes. There was one episode that encapsulated why the little girl, Eun Gyeyoung, died. The title of that episode was "An Ordinary Evil". Sure it was because of the culprit. But it was also because people looked away when she needed help. And because people covered up their own crimes. There were critical moments when she could have been saved. She could have been saved had the piano teacher, Mr. Han, didn't leave her when she was injured. She could have escaped had the truck driver helped her when she asked for help. She would have been found earlier had Bokhee and Jungho come clean about their crime. It's such an ordinary evil, to look away.

I suppose this may be considered a polarizing drama - you either like it or not. As someone who like the slow burn kind of stories, I really liked this drama. I remember stopping after episode 4 while it was airing because I wanted to watch it in one go, and I'm glad I did. I think this is best binge watched. I like the actors who played the ML and FL and at first I wasn't sure if they suited the characters, but then they grew on me. I loved how tender and careful their scenes were together - two people trying to heal each others' and their own childhood traumas.

I would recommend for anyone curious to give it a shot. If it's not your cup of tea then that's okay. :D

I did not read the webtoon so I only know the story and the characters from the live action. Having said that, just based on the drama series, I am actually glad with how So Mun insists on summoning Hwang Pil Gwang and not killing Ma Ju Seok. The entire season 1, it was something that Wi Gen instilled in Su Mon and what the Counters supposedly stood for - if you kill, you are no different that them (evil spirits), each soul matters and they should be allowed to ascend to Yung. So I was a bit disappointed in how the writers made the story progress such that Yung would order the counters to kill. Sure, season 2 So Mun could have been written better where there is more character development rather than someone who feels like and is made to feel like he has to save everyone else. And for episode 11, the writers did Ga Mo Tak really bad. How did they make him look so pathetic in that fight with Ma Ju Seok/Hwang Pil Gwang scene? Did they really make him rely on his gun when Mo Tak is the (physically) strongest Counter? The guy fought much harder in that hotel scene in episode 8-9. And why make him the irrational, emotional, seemingly unprofessional Counter and detective? Why make him so hopeless and make him think that killing was the only way? I hope the last episode tonight would make up for how episode 11 was done.

Still, I am enjoying the season and I am glad that I picked up this series.

She is indeed very strong. I would've definitely ended up in a psychiatric clinic if I lived through all that.…
Her mom went through something tragic and scary that she couldn't explain. Her husband was acting weird and scary. Her unborn child and mother died (indirectly via said husband). And she had to "escape" that with a young child in tow. And she had to go through the aftermath of that all alone. Yeah. That could definitely give people anxiety.

True. Somehow, while watching, I forgot how extraordinary SY's whole situation is. For all of them actually. One day you're just trying to live your life and then the next you are possessed by an evil ghost who likes to kill people around you, and eventually wants to take over your body.

When Hwangi asks Hongsae if he also wants SY to live and HG to die and Hongsae didn't hesitate to say "Yes", and then said it's because SY is strong. We all need that someone who has this much confidence in us.

Regular person : Oh, my child has taken out an insurance policy, so if I die, they get money. Cool. The mother…
They mentioned it a lot in the series that the mother had anxiety disorder and that she is actually being medicated for it. So that was, I believe an anxiety attack she was having.

I know that both FL's father and ML's mother were trying get rid of the objects while her son was possessed. Later…
There was a flashback scene where Ujin's father goes to Gu Gangmo and hands over to him Haesang's mother's things, including those related to the ghost. I think Gu Gangmo worked on that and found the items the mother buried.

I liked this show but one thing is still confusing to me. The shaman knew that mokdan wasn’t the second child…
There was a flashback when Gu Gangmo said that in Jangjinri in particular, when they feel that they need to create a juvenile ghost to prevent a disaster, the 2nd child was sacrificed to become a juvenile ghost as the Confuscian practice protects the first child. I think what it means is that any child can become a juvenile ghost in the right situation like illness or starvation as what Yeom HS explained. For the case in Jangjinri, it seemed like all the non-first born were called out that night since both Hwangi and Mokdan were there. And I don't think the Yeom family or Shaman Choi particulrly cared who the child was. They just needed a sacrifice. As for Mokdan, maybe she didn't become a juvenile ghost. Shaman Choi said to Hwangi after she killed Mokdan in front of her, that both fear and anger is needed to create a juvenile ghost. And Mokdan was likely just afraid and was not fit to become one.

So we all know that Shaman Choi gave instruction on how to get rid of the evil spirit. They must got the 5 items…
I think the 5 objects are to seal the shadow which was how the ghost has existed for the longest time. Burning the host of the ghost (finger) would destroy it. They needed to destroy the host since the ghost is no longer in the form of a shadow. That was how I interpreted it.
