first episode impressions:
- well acted actoss the board
- well shot
- natural dialogue, no cringe overall
- great dynamics
- good pacing

choi jae hyeok is carrying this. its good, but its good entirely because of him. everything else is just good enough to not drag him down.

oh man, il dont like lee il jo LIKE AT ALL, at the moment. one more episode to change my mind but… its an uphill struggle at this point

so far i get why everyone acts the way they do, but some of it feels frustrating because of the execution. i didnt expect the character to frustrate me most being lee il jo

i can enjoy even the bad ones but yeah this is not a good bl, id describe it as subpar, cute & fun

well i think its just a disconnect between me and her acting. it seems poor to me in all ive seen. especially blossom which i had to drop halfway through. lusi is a brilliant actor, a natural even when unpolished. there are leagues in difference between them. but i know people appreciate ziyi however its not happening for me no matter how much screentime of hers im exposed to. chalk it up to bad chemistry between whatever her acting is and me. if someone sees what she is trying to do better than i, im certainly glad for them and dont mean to yuck their yum.

at ep 28, lan zhan has a surprisingly small role for being a co-lead.

the actor playing meng yao is laughably bad. all he tries to do to convey anything is squint to different degrees

now that im deeper in, despite my initial delight, she is still a very weak actress

meng yi zi looks so good here, i almost did not recognize her. her look these days isnt my thing so im shocked

its not to my liking how james expressed uea’s reactions to triggers. as a fellow survivor it seems too performative. but perhaps its just a matter of preference and it works for most people. it doesnt work for me.

net’s acting is quite good but james is a weak actor
