i love love love yinwar, and they were the best thing about this. however this is a sloppy execution of good ideas.
its a silly show. an item that provides complete power over the country as long as its in your possession, and its taken seriously by the main characters?!
it clearly doesnt fit the world they established. and even if it did, at the thought of maybe keeping it instead they just drop a casual “that is not for people like us”?! who then? the corrupt and psychotic you let have it? better that than the poor and good? what sort of stupid messaging is that?
my goodness parents in thai(but also other asian) bl are odd. they are given no true progression for a shift, just a sudden “you are amazing, even tho i wasnt the father i should’ve been” from “its too late, he is not my son”
(i paraphrased)
anyway but also like in “not me”, parents that have twins, raise them for over a decade then because the wife takes one of them that means you move on pretending you never had a second son and couldnt give a shit about anything regarding them.
and the prevailing “trust me, no parent doesnt love their child, absolutely none, so dont worry about the abuse headed your way its cos they love you, trust me bro”
she's a great actress! they also have chemistry. well it's your opinion. But try to watch her other series! She…
i think she must be good, but shes not my cup of tea in terms of acting or charisma. the other comment opened my eyes to her impressive career and i do at least respect her journey in the entertainment industry.
at ep3, but the lead caused a woman to be beaten and raped. you may say he just told the truth but he is an adult man from our time, how much naivety should be attribute him? imo he has no excuse. what happened in the modern timeline certainly doesnt justify or excuse it. its not proportional.
was it supposed to be obvious for the watcher who ke xing is?
to be honest im not sure im even correct. but i guessed at ep 2 and there seemed to be forwarding all throughout since (im at ep4 writing this). maybe im going through confirmation bias lol
Dropped it before I got to part two a yr ago should I rewatch does it get better?
this is a tour de force in terms of writing and acting for the female lead. the romance is only truly kicking in in part two. but it benefits tremendously form what part one establishes.
if all that sounds good to you sure. if you want lots and lots of romantic moments and swoony scenes it’s probably not going to hook you.
