A 7 day national period of mourning was declared today in South Korea because of a horrific plane crash. Entertainment shows are probably going to be affected. It’s not known yet if WTPR will air episodes this week.
I don’t think BSE cares about being the spokesperson. It was always his plan to get a some revenge on his “family”…
The drama doesn’t mention how long he was a war correspondent, but it doesn’t seem like it was his lifetime goal. His war correspondent job was just mentioned in a sentence or two in the drama. BSE was also a tv news anchor in the past.
I don’t know what the two main characters consider to be an ordinary life. Let’s see what the main couple decide to do in the final two episodes. Discussing what 2 fictional characters will do in future episodes is kind of pointless.

Why can’t Heejoo leave her job? She didn’t sign a lifetime contract with the presidential office. Priorities change in life. She can be an interpreter anywhere. Wasn’t part of her desire to be an interpreter for the presidential office because she wanted to work alongside her husband?
He was never passionate about being the spokesperson. It was just part of his meticulous plan to get back at his “family”.
btw he is already a complex character. In the beginning of the drama he looks like the squeaky clean, most trusted spokesperson. He actually has deep dark secrets that he’s hiding. He also has a revenge plan.
Okay here for discussion I read someone another POV about BSE him declaring and being all emotions as HHJ husband…
I don’t think BSE cares about being the spokesperson. It was always his plan to get a some revenge on his “family” because he was forced to live the life of someone else. After exposing his “family” his plan was to disappear.
He wasn’t crying those tears at the press conference to get sympathy. He was truly heartbroken. BSE hid Heejoo from the world for three years to protect her. He now has to reveal her to the world so he can get everyone’s help in finding her. I think his goal now is to live just an ordinary life with Heejoo once he finds her.
Ofc that HeeJu is the only person who doesn’t know how to run outside when the house is on fire xDAt this point,…
So if she just walked outside and wasn’t kidnapped again, what plot would you write for the next 2 episodes?
Is she really a victim if she was willing to give her life to get rid of the psycho who was plaguing her husband?
btw, in every instance when she was in the presence of the psycho she fought back and got the better of him. She’s not a meek little victim. She’s feisty.
It's in the novel if I'm not mistaken.Logically it makes more sense why the chairman would pick his secret illegitimate…
Thanks for your reply. This drama has so many differences from the novel (for instance 2 brand new characters Sangwoo and Yuri, new mastermind behind the attacks, tamer ML, etc) that at this point just because it was in the novel doesn’t mean it’s a reason to keep it in the drama.
So if I understand correctly, the reason why the blood relationship was mentioned in episode 10 was to justify why fake Saeon was chosen to be a replacement instead of someone else. (imo almost anyone would be a good replacement for the psychopathic kid who murdered at least 4.)
In episode 10 why did the screenwriter introduce the possibility that fake Saeon is chairman Baek’s son and not his fake grandson? So far we only have mama Sim Gyu Jin’s word for it, but is it true or did she just say that to anger/hurt her husband? (Yes I know chairman Baek cryptically said something to 15 year old fake Saeon about that’s why I didn’t name you.)
Will anything change if people find out that fake Saeon actually is a Baek blood relative and not some random imposter?
If the screenwriter left out the relationship detail would it effect the drama ending?
She’s thinking with her emotions, not with her brain. It hard to be professional and rational when your son…
I understand your concerns about the character. I’m not saying she’s a good person and that her actions are excusable. I’m just saying that at this point she’s still lost in her feelings and isn’t thinking clearly. I don’t know if she will change and show some remorse later.
She’s been selfish the whole time during this drama. She doesn’t appear to consider others at all. I’ve strongly disliked her throughout this drama because of the dismissive way she’s treated Heejoo. It’s as if she doesn’t think of Heejoo as a human being. Even when Heejoo was distraught about Saeon being missing the MIL just coldly told her to go home.
I've completed 8 episodes, somebody spoil me the tangled makjang web that is these two families' members relations,…
imo viewers should watch this drama at 1x speed without skipping any scenes. This is a drama with no fluffy filler scenes so if viewers don’t pay attention they can easily lose the plot. It’s a mystery thriller romance so not everything is revealed all at once. Questions that come up in episode 1 might not get answered until episode 10.
Just a question. Sang Woo isn't the twin right? I was thinking he is Park Do Jae's twin and they are fraternal…
Sang Woo was a child in the orphanage and some of his friends were killed by the child psycho. Sang Woo felt a little guilty because he’s the one who told his friends about playing in the rich kid’s( psycho’s) house. In episode 10 Sang Woo identified a marble, a ring, and car badge found in his 3 little friends graves. Sang Woo didn’t know the twins personally because they were in the orphanage after her was adopted. A shoe belonging to one of the twins was found in the 4th grave. Later in the hospital Park Do Jae identified the shoe as belonging to his twin brother.

After watching episode 10 it looks like my initial instinct was correct that PDJ was the mastermind (although he didn’t have complete control over the psycho kidnapper). In episode 10 it appears that the mom wasn’t sure her son was alive and was hoping to confirm her growing suspicion that the person causing the recent havoc was her biological son.

Thank you so much for clarifying the information pointing to the clues about the Master. I have have been underestimating Sim Gyu Jin’s capabilities.
I know she was extremely bitter about what the Baek patriarch did to her son. I just didn’t connect the dots about her using her bitterness and her professional capabilities to take revenge on her “replacement” son who was also a victim of Baek Jang Ho.
I rewatched the end of episode 9 and Park Do Jae appears to be waiting for someone at the isolated spot where he took Heejoo. I guess if Do Jae was the mastermind behind the revenge plot he wouldn’t be waiting to do something to the unconscious Heejoo. He’d just do what he wanted to do.

I guess I’m still not clear about Dojae being ruled out as the Master. In episode 3 the kidnapper is texting the Master after the bombing and the Master replies “From now on don’t act alone.” How does that rule out Dojae? Maybe the kidnapper delivered the bomb without notifying Dojae first.
Also in episode 7 after the sketch of the kidnapper is released to the media he texts someone he’s working with and said “You’re the one who pushed her(Heejoo) but my face is exposed.” From that statement I assumed the the kidnapper (the real Baek Saeon) is texting Dojae because he’s the one who pushed Heejoo. Is the kidnapper working with both Dojae and someone else?
At this point do we have enough clues to identify who the Master is if it’s someone other than Dojae?
I am so confused. Is Baek Sa Eon one of the twins? Who is the second twin? What do the twins have to do with the…
Dojae is one of the twins from the orphanage. His twin brother was killed years ago by the real Baek Saeon. Dojae is seeking revenge for his brother being killed. Baek Saeon (the president’s spokesperson) was also a victim of the Baek family. When he was 15 was made to be a replacement for the original Baek Saeon (the guy with the odd colored eyes who kidnapped Heejoo in the 1st episode.)
