Hui Ju asked her company PR manager to get information about Yi An’s schedule so she could keep bumping into him. He contacted reporter Kim who put him in contact with the Public Affairs Office. So it was her PR manager who unintentionally tipped off a reporter about Hui Ju wanting to meet with the Grand Prince. A reporter probably started following her around after that. That may explain why Hui Ju was photographed at the horse riding, Subway shop, and hotel.

But I believe that the royal family has the power to stop the reporter’s story from being published. It seems to me that the Grand Prince would benefit most from the leaked story and would be able to use it to his advantage. The Queen Mother wouldn’t benefit from the story being published because she wants the Grand Prince to marry someone meek that she can control.

I absolutely love BWS’s wardrobe in the drama. It’s a fusion of traditional hanbok elements with elegant modern design. The stylist/costume designer for this drama deserves a bonus.

If you’ve already watched the 3:34 minute highlight trailer and are not feeling it, this drama probably isn’t something you’d enjoy.

In Korea the Queen Mother always had more power than the Grand Prince. It’s just how their monarchy worked.

Can you please list examples of why you think this role is “the exact same type of role” as the one in Lovely Runner?

Traditionally in Korea the Queen Mother always had a higher rank and more power than the Grand Prince. Therefore as Queen Mother Yoon YiRang holds more authority and responsibility than Yi An. She outranks him.

In this Korean drama Prince Yi An is a popular well loved figure even though he has no actual political power. None of the royals in a constitutional monarchy have any real political power. They are more like political influencers and they use their leverage behind the scenes.

He welcomed it and even told his aide that he needed new clothes for when he ran into Hui Ju. He took it as a game and wasn’t afraid of her. He is a member of the royal family and if he actually wanted to limit her access to him he could easily do it.

Real life stalking is deplorable regardless of which sex does it. But as you mentioned this is fictional and it’s also a comedy. People can fast forward through those scenes if they find it triggering. Her chasing after him is only a few brief scenes in the first 2 episodes.

Are they actually hating on her personally or are they hating on the character she portrays? From what I’ve read praise is pouring in about her acting in this drama.

You’re obviously not being rational and only want to argue with people. Life is too short to waste time interacting with unnecessarily annoying people who only want to cause disruptions. Bye.

She did us a favor. Without the Queen Mother storming into his hotel room we wouldn’t have seen BWS’s gorgeous abs again. 😍😊

She’s playing an obnoxious character so that may be contributing to your opinion of her acting. Since her character starts out pretty annoying I think we’re going to be able to see a lot of character development and some good quality acting by IU.

People should try to understand the character he is portraying in this drama. The Grand Prince puts on a facade to hide his emotions from others. As a royal he wants to appear neutral, detached, and calm to others at all times. He shares his emotions with very few people.

Also, the director said in a recent interview that there are a lot of closeups of BWS in the drama in order to focus on his eyes. People who criticize his acting aren’t paying attention to his micro facial expressions. A good example is the in the ep 1 epilogue. If you focus on his eyes you can see how much he is attracted to her. His words and actions are neutral towards her, but his eyes tell a different story.

Maybe the quality of some of the snowy scenes was due to lesser quality special effects? idk because I didn’t notice.

What platform did you watch it on? I used both Netflix and iQIYI and the cinematography looked amazing. The lighting on most of the closeups with ZLH was especially gorgeous. The bath tub scene with the main couple shot from overhead in episodes 37 & 38 was the chef’s kiss.

I watched PoJ on a tv instead of my phone and that makes a big difference too. Many phones are not capable of playing 4k videos and some platforms restrict 4k playback to TVs. Gorgeous cinematography is diminished with low quality playback capability. 😊

What I’m calling out is whoever or whatever is rating individual episodes before they are released. How can they know what the quality will be of a future episode? You’ve got to admit that there is some kind of negative bias when episodes that haven’t been released yet are already rated 5/10.

Did you watch the Pursuit of Jade? The cinematography and lighting in that drama was amazing. That quality of cinematography doesn’t happen very often in dramas.

I don’t expect most rom coms to pay very much attention to lighting and cinematography. I’m just happy if the plot makes sense and the chemistry is good. 😊

How big is the screen that you watch dramas on? Most people can’t tell the difference between 1080p and 4k unless the tv screen is greater than 65 inches.

Hui Ju wants to marry for status but Yi An is a romantic person and wants to marry for love. I’m having a hard time believing he would allow her to be trapped into a pregnancy scandal without discussing his plan with her first. Oh well, you’re right— we will have to wait and see.

ETA: While I still have doubts that either the ML or FL planned being caught together in the hotel room I do believe that together they will use the media scandal to their best advantage.

What about the Prime Minister? He would benefit from the scandal because it would temporarily hide some political problem he’s having. He has a crush on Hui Ju and maybe he thinks the pressures she will feel from the scandal will make her turn away from the Grand Prince and turn towards him. He wants to be her rescuer or knight in shining armor. His devious plan won’t work, but I can imagine him trying.
