Technically Netflix didn’t cut the scene. They never had access to the unedited version. By contract Netflix…
The deleted scene took place after the bath when they were in bed. It was less than a minute long but it was 🔥. It wasn’t essential for the plot so if people hadn’t seen the leaked version they wouldn’t realize anything was missing from the final version.

Over 9 is like 10 in MDL. Let's wish is not going down like with other series.
A majority of viewers watching it as it was being released (probably around 20,000 mdl accounts) rated this between 9 and 10. It will take a lot of negative appraisals to drop the ratings. I think the current rating of 9.2 is pretty accurate.

After a drama finishes there are always a bunch of negative comments for every drama claiming the ratings should be lower. All ratings are subjective. Okay, you didn’t think this drama was that good but many, many others found it to be an excellent entertaining and captivating series.

It’s all over sm. Sorry that I don’t have a link for you but you can search for the scene. Also someone here on mdl posted one of the links within the last 24 hours.

ETA: user Priyasha posted a link in the comments right below this one. 😊

So Netflix cut the scene in ep 38. At this point I am kind of glad there was a leak - what else did these jokers…
Technically Netflix didn’t cut the scene. They never had access to the unedited version. By contract Netflix had to rebroadcast the identical version that iqiyi and Tencent Video did.

Why in the Top Airing Shows list of MDL, under the chinese section, Pursuing Jade has not appeared once during…
Yeah, it makes no sense at all. Shows with as few as 3,000 mdl viewers (You Are My Fateful Love) are in the list but PoJ has over 31,000 mdl viewers and didn’t make it onto the list. MDL math is not working.

I somewhat agree with your theory but who had the power to give 2 supporting actors much more screen and more…
You could tell they were still editing this drama as it was being aired. After the 2 supporting actors started doing lots of promo on sm they became hot topics and highly popular. As a result an increased number of long scenes with the supporting actors started being featured the drama. The lead actors were busy with other projects and didn’t have as much time to do promo. Their screen time was definitely reduced in the second half of the drama.

So basically it was not censorship but the production or channel edited out the bed scene in episode 38 because…
I somewhat agree with your theory but who had the power to give 2 supporting actors much more screen and more passionate scenes than the 2 highly paid leading actors?

That blue hair ribbon should be listed as part of the cast. Sometime during the drama it became self aware. It started defying gravity and hurled itself towards XZ in at least 2 scenes.

Finally watched Episode 38, most romantic bathtub scene... 💋❤️‍🔥🔥🫣🙈🧐#ZhangLingHe #TianXiWei…
In addition to it being passionate it was also beautifully filmed. I loved the overhead shot of the yin yang symbolism created by their flowing outfits in the water.

Can someone give me true review ? Some are saying its rating is fake ...
I think 9.2 is pretty accurate. Most of the mdl comments while this was airing were highly positive. People became obsessed with watching this show and the mdl comments section exploded with viewers excitedly enjoying PoJ. This highly entertaining drama has great cinematography, excellent acting by the entire cast, romance, passionate kissing, humor, poignancy, action sequences, and it included a theme of solving a mystery in order to correct an injustice. Viewers cared for all of the characters, even the minor supporting ones. The characters are 3 dimensional— no one is all good or all bad. After completing this show it’s hard to move on to another drama. This show was almost perfect so yeah, a 9.2 seems appropriate.

Yes, but it was 5,7,9,11 not 6 ^^
So they were all odd numbers? I wonder what happened to the even numbered Xie generals?😊
On Pursuit of Jade 17 days ago
I finally found out that the generals that were protecting Xie Zheng and Changyu had numbers for names.
Wu = 5
Liu = 6
Qi = 7
Jiu = 9

I feel like the 40 episodes restriction really sacrificed the story a bit. Had it been 50 episodes long, I'm sure…
They knew about the 40 episode limit before they even began filming. That the drama feels rushed to some people is the fault of the screenwriter and film editors. They needed to make the plot fit into 40 episodes, not increase the number of episodes. In hindsight I wish they had shortened the scenes with Qi Min and QianQian. The support actors were excellent but the writers gave too much time to secondary characters at the expense of moving the plot forward at an even pace.

This was 8,5 from beginning to end. I’m so happy Deng Kai finally is recognized for his talent. The villains…
I feel sorry for Deng Kai. He is very talented but his sudden fame is difficult for him to deal with right now. He was mobbed at an airport and “fans” even tried to follow him into the bathroom. There were “fans” on his plane and they kept hanging around him taking his picture without consent. They treated him like he was an animal in the zoo instead of a human being. He literally begged them to leave him alone during the flight.

I wish him much success and hope he is able to surround himself with good people who will support him.

The 1st one looked weird when they were in motion... and not in a good way. It's the type of thing that looks…
imo it didn’t look weird but it definitely looked more sexual than equestrian

I’m going to be eternally angry at the censors for robbing us of two amazing scenes with the leads. I was really looking forward to watching:
1. The scene where the Marquis scoops Changyu onto his horse facing him after she learned his true identity on the battlefield.
2. The complete bath and bed scene with Xie Zheng and Changyu after he inhaled the aphrodisiac incense.

Because of reuters and/or leaked videos we know that those two hot steamy scenes were filmed but didn’t make into the officially released drama. ☹️

The scene after the bath scene????
What I don’t understand is that the bath scene and other steamy scenes with Qi Min & Qian seem longer and less censored than the bath/bed scenes between Xie Zheng and Changyu. It’s like they had a double standard and only severely censored scenes with the leads but not the scenes with supporting characters.

Title Pursuit of Jade Spoiler
The scene is where Changyu goes back to Lin’an and is greeted by all of the people from the town who have passed…
Assuming you have read the web novel, were the political parts of the drama pretty evenly distributed through out the book or was the political arc heavily concentrated in the last quarter of the story like it was in the video version?
Replying to oknow 18 days ago
They had to cut most of the bath and bed scene in order to pass censorship for the official release of this drama.…
Search on youtube, instagram, and x to see some of the videos of those scenes.
