Why didn’t the ML just station a few armed men around the village after reclaiming his position? He literally…
At this point in the drama he has only about 100 men total. He has to defeat a bigger enemy for the good of the whole country. He’s doing the best he can with the resources he has.
The only fast form of communication is the falcon. If someone doesn’t write a message and send it with the bird it could be days or even weeks before he finds out information through spies and messengers.
Guys I watched the first two episodes and the plot is not for 9.1 rating .. is it getting that better or it's…
Watching just 2 episodes out of 40 doesn’t give you a good understanding of what’s going on in an historical drama. In early episodes they’re still setting up the story, introducing characters, and giving background information. They released 5 episodes of this the first day to give viewers a better sense of what the drama is about. So to give this drama a fair chance I suggest watching at least the first 5 episodes.
I rarely watch historical dramas but I’m completely obsessed with this one. The directing, cinematography, acting, and writing are all excellent for this drama. I would say the 9.1 rating is well deserved or maybe even a little low. Everyone has their own opinions about ratings but for most of us this one is definitely NOT overrated.
I agree that there was no explicit sex in POB but it was implied. There definitely was some hot passionate kissing. My point is cdramas in general aren’t as prudish as moodygirl thinks. Two forced kisses in Ep 17 of Pursuit of Jade definitely wasn’t sex or sex adjacent.
I feel like their seperation scene was a bit odd. It didn't suit the mature relationship they have built so far.…
I felt the same way at first but then I started thinking about what they both had gone through that day. They probably both had a lot of adrenaline left in their systems. YZ had to watch Changyu battle that madman and then he had to save her at the last minute from being drug over the wall by him. YZ was also still jealous by that guy’s lies about kissing Changyu when he still hadn’t managed to kiss her.
They both were highly emotional about being separated. What happened wasn’t at all what they had planned or hoped for. Things escalated quickly because their deeply rooted emotions surfaced. They didn’t really want to separate but they realized they had to due to circumstances beyond their control.
Hah, Yan Zheng was worried that Chang Yu cannot handle being a matron of a noble clan...I say she would be perfect!…
He’s just making excuses and trying to convince himself why he shouldn’t disrupt her life to bring her into his highly political upper class life. He wonders if she would be happier being left where she is.
i'm watching the show on netflix, but know that the translation can be bad sometimes... is it better on wetv?
imo WeTV has the best English subtitles for this particular drama followed by Netflix then iqiyi. I don’t know why iqiyi is so inaccurate with the translation for this drama. iqiyi English subtitles are usually pretty reliable but not this time.
OMG😱THE Marquis Wu'an is a matrilocal husband(🤨)? And made a hand cuff for his wife (😲)? By hand(😳)?
🤣🤣🤣 He made her leather wrist guards so she doesn’t hurt her wrist anymore when butchering pigs. Handcuffs are something completely different and would suggest bondage in their sex role playing. 🙈 As of episode 17 they haven’t consummated their marriage yet.
Korean drama writing has gotten so bad these days that it’s miserable to watch.
I agree. They create a good first episode and force a happy ending in the final episode while everything in between is either boring or annoying. What angers me is that the writers seem to get away with writing just meh dramas because some viewers are okay with anything nowadays as long as the final episode is happy. 😒
Every scene is the same on both platforms. The episodes are released at the same time on both platforms. But the…
For example in ep 17 the ML is applying some medicine to the FL’s hand. She pulls back her hand in pain and blows on the injury. On iqiyi the subtle has her saying that the medicine has a numbing effect. On Netflix she says the medicine stings. Based on her actions the Netflix version is correct about the medicine stinging.
Dimples Sui YangQing -- shot with an arrow as he fell off a cliff into the river and YZ also searched the banks…
Nah, despite being shot with 2 arrows, being stabbed several times by the FL, and falling off a cliff he survived. He showed up again in the episode 18 preview.
Can anyone tell me what's the difference in Netflix version? As I'm watching Iqiyi version.
Every scene is the same on both platforms. The episodes are released at the same time on both platforms. But the English subtitles make more sense on Netflix for this drama.
