gosh l wish l had waited for this to finish airing before I started watching itšŸ˜•
But this is a drama best savored in small bites. I’m afraid that binge watching it would be overwhelming.

I don't watch previews but supposedly in EP 19
She’s unconscious in episode 19 preview so that doesn’t count. I’ve seen most people estimate that they get back together in episode 25.

Don’t worry. In the episode 17 preview he leaves Changyu behind to assume his true identity as Marquis Wu’an…
I do understand your point.

My point is you will ruin your enjoyment of this drama by comparing it to another drama’s bad writing. If this drama takes a turn for the worse then drop it. Until then, don’t worry about what it might become in future episodes, appreciate what it is now.

So from episode 24 till episode 40 we will get only one EP per day? 🫣
I really hope that they sell an express package. If we have to watch episodes 33 - 40 only one episode a day it will be pure agony.

In what age are our main leads supposed to be in the drama? Anyone knows?
She’s 18 and he’s about 22 in the drama.

really that long? can you tell because you have read the novel?
In the episode 19 preview it looks like they’re briefly together but she goes back to her hometown as soon as she’s healed a bit.

I’ve got some bad news for you…
This is an amazing drama, perhaps the best historical drama that I’ve ever watched. The leads have great chemistry and there’s a good mixture of humor sprinkled in. There’s a war going on and some mysteries to solve.

The bad news is that the leads will go through about an 8 episode separation. They care deeply about each other despite the circumstances that they have to go through. It’s highly unlikely that they will consummate their marriage within the first 20 episodes. From bts videos there will be lots of passionate kisses, but they won’t happen within the first 20 episodes.

There are going to be so many kisses, at least 16, and 6 longer ones from the BTS when they're filming and from…
But they won’t happen in the first 20 episodes.

The Tencent Video 🐧 subtitles for the ep 19 preview make much more sense than the ones from iqiyi šŸ„. What has happened to the iqiyi subtitles for this drama? Were they always this bad and I didn’t notice before because I didn’t compare them with other platforms?

No it isn't attractive, nor do I want them to get together while she is drunk. But in her case, I think she just…
If this was a modern drama I would wholeheartedly agree about the need to hold an honest conversation about their relationship. But this is an historical drama. They didn’t talk about their feelings back then. Husbands and wives didn’t talk about the things that we commonly discuss nowadays.

Although she doesn’t know it he married her using a fake name. Is their marriage even legal?

He’s stated to his friend Gongsun Yin that now is not the time for him to become attached to anyone. He knows his reasons for tiptoeing around her. She’s inexperienced and in her past relationship with the scholar she was treated badly. She also knows Yan Zheng wil probably leave so I understand her hesitation too.

If they’re separated in episodes 17 - 25 according to the airing schedule that means Thursday March 12 thru Tuesday March 17. (For some viewers that might be a good time to put this drama on hold. I’m not sure if I have the willpower to pause this for 5 days.)

I’m asking readers of the novel for a spoiler: do Li Huaian and his aid Zhuo Ran(?) survive to the end of the drama?

The writer of Fated Hearts was Qing Mei. The writer of this drama is Zou Yue. They are 2 different people. Why would anyone think that the plots of the two different dramas would be the same? Pursuit of Jade is not a copy of Fated Hearts.

Don’t worry. In the episode 17 preview he leaves Changyu behind to assume his true identity as Marquis Wu’an and heads to the battlefield. His time with her didn’t turn him into a wuss. Each of them are strong and talented individuals with goals to accomplish.

Each episode of this drama is being released on Netflix the exact same day as it is in China. You can compare the release schedule on Tencent video and iQIYI with Netflix to verify that they are identical on all 3 platforms.

Each episode is edited in China, not by Netflix. Ending an episode with a cliffhanger is pretty universal now. It’s not just a western tactic.
