bruh it has 40 episodes why do yall need war plot to start now?I find political plot always ruining a drama and…
Setting up the story and and allowing relationships to slowly develop is so important in a complicated historical drama like this.
I care about the characters in this drama precisely because the writer is taking the time to show how the relationships develop organically. For me the pacing is perfect. I want to see the warrior Marquis but at the perfect time. Why rush? There are 27 episodes left and I’m not in any hurry to get to the end and say goodbye to this excellent drama.
I heard next week we are only getting one episode a day. Putting this on hold because one episode a day will be…
How are zero episodes a day less painful than 1 episode a day?
I’m already addicted to this drama so I need to watch whatever is available each day. Good luck to you for putting this on hold without running into spoilers everywhere.
— In episode 1 they meet, get drunk, and have sex. At the end of episode 1 she finds out she’s pregnant and…
Yes. He continued to interfere in the couple’s relationship until episode 10.
The love triangle was annoying because the 2ML was never going to win. He’s not the baby’s father and he’s not rich. The love triangle lasted from episode 2 to the beginning of episode 10. The 2 ML got just as much if not more screen time than the ML.

There aren’t any break ups or major misunderstandings. But there’s a love triangle where the 2ML decides all of a sudden that he likes the FL and tries to butt in between the leads relationship. The unnecessary love triangle goes on for several episodes and it’s one of the reasons that the ratings dropped.
the novel readers said he’s not a green flag, he’s a black flag but I think I’m color blind atm
A black flag in a relationship is where a partner exhibits extreme, toxic, or dangerous behavior. The relationship should be terminated immediately.
From what I’ve seen so far Yan Zheng may show those behaviors towards others but he’s a softie with Changyu and little Ning. I’m calling him a green flag.
Also imo a forced kiss or a hickey is not a black flag behavior. Depending on the context that might not even be considered as red flag behavior.
For some scenes the iqiyi subtitles aren’t very good. For example in episode 10 they have the ML saying that he will stop at the “grocery store.” smh. For this cdrama the Netflix subtitles are so much better.
Can someone make me a recap for the romance here .. like in which episode they get together and their romance…
— In episode 1 they meet, get drunk, and have sex. At the end of episode 1 she finds out she’s pregnant and accidentally runs into him at her OB/GYN’s office. — They start dating in the beginning of episode 8. — In the final episode they celebrate their daughter’s first birthday
The male and female leads had great chemistry together. It’s a shame that their performance was overshadowed by the villain SIL and SML love triangle side plots taking over most of the screen time. This drama would have been so much better with a writer who understands that rom coms should focus on the main couple’s relationship journey.
Here we go again — I’ve never been wrong about a K-drama ending. The ML ends up with the FL. Like… were…
People KNOW that this screenwriter is not creative enough to come up with a surprise ending.
At this point in the drama many are frustrated with the FL spending more time with the SML than she did with the male lead. They wish the ML would not end up with the FL because he deserves someone better. Viewers KNOW it won’t happen because this writer only follows the standard formula for writing kdrama rom coms.
Maybe is the years watching K-Dramas, but I saw this happening from a mile away! I have repeated and repeated…
There’s no way I will torture myself by rewatching any of the episodes. You and I have different opinions about this drama and that’s perfectly okay.
We also have different standards concerning what we’re willing to accept from a simple rom com like this. You are willing to wade through all of the nonsense in order to find little tiny nuances of what should have clearly been displayed if the writer was at all competent.
You are willing to accept crumbs from this drama while I believe most of us were looking for at least a little snack.
Maybe is the years watching K-Dramas, but I saw this happening from a mile away! I have repeated and repeated…
You’re trying very hard to make this drama seem better than it actually is. Putting a positive spin on a mediocre drama that has bad writing and acting will not turn it into a masterpiece.

The writer still took the lazy way out by creating a love triangle. Anything past 3 episodes of a love triangle when the final outcome is already foreseen is just filler. The writer had only enough plot for a movie but tried to stretch it into a 12 episode drama.
SML continues to hang around FL. Finally in the last 10 minutes she realizes what TH means to her because she thinks he is flying away for good. She kisses him at the airport and he kisses her back.
In the preview of ep 11 the SML still appears briefly. Also in the preview Woo Joo goes missing. It seems this drama writer still doesn’t want to give us scenes of the 3 of them being together as a happy family.
I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic or if that you just don’t care that the plot of this drama doesn’t…
Okay, thanks. imo the FL is so indecisive and weak that if she finally discovers “her true feelings” she’s still likely to change her mind again and again. She needs to go off by herself and figure out what she really wants out of life. A happy ending for me would be she goes off by herself while TH and Woo Joo lead a happy life without her.
Any good dramas, because I think I've watched all the good dramas and I can't find anything good anymore
There are a lot of good cdramas. They’re a lot longer (usually between 24 and 40 episodes) because the writers take the time to create 3 dimensional characters. The plots make sense and many characters show growth through out the drama. Most of the time there are secondary couples. You can choose to fast forward through their subplots if you want to mainly focus on the main leads story.
Two good recent modern romance cdramas are Love Between Lines and Shine On Me. If you like fantasy or costume dramas there’s How Dare You!? and Pursuit of Jade is coming out March 6.
On hold = watched some episodes already
Plan to watch = haven’t started watching yet
