So far, I like it. Some changes they've made I like : - the fact that the boss (AKA Chakrit) is sweet rather than creepy, although he's still very pushy - Momo is less manipulative than other version (so far), he's also cuter - I foresee a lot more kisses coming LOL The changes I didn't like: - they've replaced the boss' wife with a daughter. It makes the story more palatable to some, but it also removes a lot to it. We will lose the older woman/younger man love story with the ex wife. We also love that little subject of married men on the "downlow". Or what happens when a married man makes his coming out.
I guess the story will be cute but not as interesting and thought provoking as the original. We'll see...
I'm glad he's speaking up. Back in the day, idols would just take it in the chin for fear of losing their popularity. But I feel like this generation (generally speaking) is way more outspoken and refuse to take crap for the sake of money and success. I'm also thinking of Zhao LuSi for example. I hope that with time everybody from idols to waiters and office workers will be able to gain the treatment they deserve from their bosses and clients.
mahiba, "This old face on top of a muscular body is disturbing LOL" is directly implying older actors shouldn't…
Thank you. Are you jealous of young people though? You do know you had your time right? Being old is a privilege, be happy with what you have. You still have life left to accomplish things. Get to it. I hope you do. That said, I'm bowing out of this conversation. I'm giving you the win, I think you need it. Have a nice day.
Yesss, you get it- as soon as I watched the ep. I was wondering why they didn't cast my man in the main thing-…
OK, thank you for sharing. The only one I heard about was the Joss/JPeterson one. For the rest it's all new because I don't really care too much about the off screen lives of those actors. But yeah it is disappointing to see people who profit from LGBTQ then turn out to be bigots, it's the hypocrisy for me. I also think a lot of self loathing involved, if I try some 2bits psychanalysis. My biggest pet peeve with GMMTV is their tendency to go for looks over talent, every single time. You can tell it's more of a money machine than an actual art production. Too bad they couldn't find the recipe to be both.

LOL thank you. I'm pretty obsessed with this story for reason I don't even wish to know haha. It might be I also have a crush on Haruta ^^ Tell me more about the controversy with GMMTV, I'm not aware. All I know is, they used to make cute stories, sometimes even very good, then around 2020-2021 the quality went down the drain for some reason.
Shitty comment - this is one of the best Korean actors alive ! He always adds gravitas, dignity and oozes charisma…
You should drink some cool water and calm down a little. I'm acknowledging the hard work they did (actor, make up and casting) to create a visibly dual and amibiguous character who would look old and harmless at first glance but underneath that facade he hides his strength. This makes a disturbing mix, as probably intended by the show creators. That said, I still claim the right to find who I want disturbing. Take a calming breath and carefully get off your pedestal or you might fall off and break you neck. SMH...
This old face on top of a muscular body is disturbing lol
Edit: Because people are really judgemental (and visibly did not read the article before piling on me, here is a longer version of my comment: I'm acknowledging the hard work they did (actor, make up and casting) to create a visibly dual and amibiguous character who would look old and harmless at first glance but underneath that facade he hides his strength. I like the HK version of Ossan's love. The story is very similar, but the casting is top notch. They really did a good job. Their Haruta is very well casted, I also like the boss character. In my opinion it would even be better than the jap version (of the series, not the special, the special is the best), but it runs a bit too long. You won't be missing out too much if you skip it, it's pretty much the same story line anyway.
Thai productions are very unreliable. I say that while fully planning to watch their version of Ossan's Love. But at this point my expectations are pretty much at ground level, so I should be fine.

Have you watched the Hong Kong version? They used a more likeable Hase/Maki but he still is a bit manipulative on some aspects. I think it's more a writing issue than a casting issue.
I will watch it only because of Pong. I FFWed through ep1 and I can't believe how fresh he looks (with some help from a filter but still). His former leads and rivals now playing mamas and papas, and he still plays the love interests. Good for him!
