The Rainbow Subbing team has started this once again. They are restarting the dramas which were in pause mode.…
Here I am 4 years later wondering if I should give this a try and I found this little exchange hehe. Thanks again! ^^

Overrated. Starts well but drags in the middle. Too many side characters, the FL's best friend was annoying, many skippable scenes. Would've been better with 15 episodes, no best friend (or very little scenes of her). The industrial spying/mystery gets boring in the end. For the ML only I give 7 but I have to retract half a point for the feeling of doing a chore I had when finishing this drama. so 6,5/10.

Because I didn't watch those dramas. But thank you for pointing them out. Could you tell me more about their characteristics…
OK, I'Ll add them to the list. thanks

Back to back Netflix originals for Jeon So Nee.. is it only me who feels she signed three projects at once 🤔
I've noticed some actors will appear repeatedly on Netflix shows. Jang Seung Joo was in The Frog recently. Lee Moo Sang was in Maestra and The Glory.

idk why jang seungjo likes playing these red flag husbands 😭😭 it seems so interesting but i dont wanna watch…
I also love him and want him to be a good guy. He's great at playing characters that are on the brink of a breakdown and holding by a thread, maybe that's why they always make him a red flag. He was perfect in Familiar Wife though, he can be a neurotic good guy too 😢

Sa Eon already replaced her car. It's not very noticable since both cars look similar but her original was a KIA…
Lol true. I'm starting to think maybe the plot holes are just in my (distracted) head 😂

Title First Love
why did she struggle about money so much after her divorce. Is the father not supposed to pay child support? And…
I've noticed this in many japanese dramas. It seems like divorce often means abandoning the kids too.
Also, there's a little scene between her and her ex husband when she meets him with the kid and he starts to tell her something but she cuts him off saying she couldn't. I think it was him trying to convince her to take his money. She says no because they insulted her mother for being crass and poor. Dignity and honor are the only thing poor people can cling to.

Yes, I think we just have to wait another week and hope we will get some closure. I also wonder why Hong Hee Joo even has a father. They could've just said he died when she was younger, for all he matters to the story. Another time suck.
Anyways, I hope we get some loose trends tied up, but I'm not holding my breath honestly.

He already bought her a car ..her previous car was Kia which was replaced with BMW by Baek Sa Eom
True I missed that one. My general feeling of loose plot still remains though. Still here for the chemistry though ^^

True, still things could've been tighter (I've watched ep 10).
I think because they thought this drama was made for romance watcher, they assumed they didn't need to write a tight mystery, as long as the chemistry between leads was chemistrying. Which to be honest is kinda true LOL

Won't be lying... I kind of checked out of Hee Ju and Sa Eon's romance 🤡On the other hand, mamy boi cute secretary…
LOL I think you should've been in the writing room for the main show, you would've helped A LOT.
PS: I also checked out. If this was longer than 12 ep I would've dropped to be honest.

I know he's aware. What I mean to say is that these people weren't living very smartly when they knew what kind of threats they were under (keeping the phone, falling for the car trap twice, talking in public to her dad, getting her to apply to the job next to him...
I missed the car thing, thanks for pointing it out.

Unpopular opinion: this show is a bit disappointing to be honest. I hope next week will give us a good closure with a lot of romance (awake romance this time please, no more dreams!). It's frustrating because I feel like they've wasted so much time on unnecessary characters like Hong Inna, the journalist lady, the people at the signing center... They should've used this time to tighten up the plot. Example: I really would've appreciated a scene where Sa Eon buy Hee Joo a New unhacked car.
Anyway, let's wait for the end for closure.

Unpopular opinion ahead: I didn’t like this episode, and the emotions didn’t hit me because of the glaring…
I wholeheartedly agree. From episode 1 I was trying to not get too hyped up because I've been burned before. But I couldn't help getting my expectations up. Now for a few episodes now I've been struggling with that plotline. Today's episode lost me. People's motivations don't make all that much sense, they also have not been acting up to how smart they're supposed to be. On the romance side, a dream is a good way to inject a bit of romance in a high thrill episode, but they've used this device, it's getting boring. In Ha is frankly a useless character, same with 2FL. They could've used their screen time to tighten up the actual plot lines. So yeah, I'm with you.

> But he wasn't ABUSIVE ABUSIVE!I mean, he raped her though. That's in part why she cheated, she was looking for…
I see what you mean, I think both options are viable. I personally liked the way the show ended, it says a lot about the love one can have for a non biological child, it's also about redemption and second chances on some level.

" I think at this point it's the writer's psychology and fetish which is prevalent in Japanese series involving wife's infidelity that gets a win."
Probably because I have not watched enough Jdramas, I don't notice this prevalence. Maybe also why I don't understand everybody's reaction on some level.

> But he wasn't ABUSIVE ABUSIVE!I mean, he raped her though. That's in part why she cheated, she was looking for…
First off, when somebody dies from suicide, it's not because they were weak. People rarely end their life because of one thing that went wrong, it's often an accumulation of things. Remember how he was already looking up mental help very early in the show? He was already showing signs of a mental breakdown. Finding out about her lies could've indeed been the tipping point, thankfully he didn't do it.
For the wife's cheating, after going through months of bad treatment, then that rape, she definitely has mitigating circumstances to her action of cheating. Does that mean I'm justifying her actions, maybe, frankly I don't know.
As for passing the kid as her husband's, this was definitely wrong, I agree with you. Still, she made that decision based on many factors, like the fact that her husband did tell her he was not going to get involved with the kid other than giving her money, which frankly was the only thing she wanted from him at that point. From her pov she is in a major fix, and here comes this cold and mean husband (again, her pov) offering her a solution. She has remorse from the start, and she feels even worse when her husband starts to change. I'm not saying I agree with her actions, I'm just trying to understand the character's motivations, and frankly, they make sense. Would I advise my friend to do the same? Absolutely NOT. Would I stop being her friend if she did do this? Also no, I think. I'd judge her at first, but then I'd try and understand.
That said, I also can see things from the husband's pov too. I could spend hours writing about his redemption arch. The thing is, I don't need to because everyone seems to understand him already.

The tag "Single Male Lead" is correct as he is single in the series.
I didn't say MDL is a joke. Even if I had, I took the time to elaborate my first comment about the misuse of tags in CERTAIN drama pages. You obviously disagree, that's alright. But I honestly don't even know what more you want me to tell you. Take care.
