You really have to give it to admire the japanese for their imaginative and boundary pushing themes. As I can clearly see how this story is probably gonna be a highly positive, emotional and wholesome tail, I also know few productions (outside of the japanese) would touch this story without changing its core. I can't wait to watch this.
You do have a point about their sex appeal lol, they are both more on the cute side, especially Esther who has…
Thank you for giving your point of view, very interesting. I also find Film very attractive, but at the time of writing this review I didn't see much good in his acting. WELL, I have recently watched Chun Cheu Bussaba, and oh my! He was great in that. Very sensual, and great acting especially for the comedy scene. So I'm now a fan haha. I really think these two actors (Esther and Film) are best when paired with more sensual/experienced actors. They feed off their vibes, if you see what I mean? Anyways, I think Film should do more romcom dramas, he really has great comedic timing.
Well, I'm surprised she's so often cast as a Main role in dramas that I watched, yet I barely remember her. It seems to me she often plays the 2d FL but for some reason they cast her a main even when her role isn't that big. It's good, it means she has a good agent I guess! ^^
This is probably my favorite chinese show. I was looking for something formulaic to spend some time and instead I found this. What a nice surprise. For some reason, this drama made me think of Down With Love. Maybe because of the quirky writing and upbeat tone.
I loved it. One thing I noticed is that they have ‘My Fated Boy’ listed as a sequel. But the characters and…
I'm watching ep23 of My Fated Boy and someone said the ML's dad looks and acts a lot like a character in MNCS. It was so conspicuous that I felt there was a link, so here I am. Im sad to learn MNCS may not be so great because I think the writer might be a genius because the writing in My Fated Boy is so so good.
So, just done watching the show. This is a VERY formulaic, very low budget show (but looks really good), with…
I usually complain about violence in dramas, but weirdly enough this is a case where I wish there could've been a little more violence. Nothing physical, but I would've liked for the ML to unleash a bit of the negativity he's hiding inside : by insulting her and telling her how stupid and gullible she really is, or by raising his voice at her (I believe she deserved a talking to more than once!). It would have been a better motivation for the events that precipitate the ending.
So, just done watching the show. This is a VERY formulaic, very low budget show (but looks really good), with a little thing that might be a plus or a minus depending on your taste: the ML has a very dark personality. Maybe even a whole personality disorder. He's very controlling and possessive and a real master manipulator. Since the FL is very ditzy, it makes for a very unbalanced and unhealthy relationship where he dances circles around her all the time. He reminded me a whole lot of many Amanda Quick's male protagonists: because of an early misconception, the FL thinks she's dealing with a sensitive soul, and feels a need to nurture and protect him; whereas he plays with her bias and takes advantage of any "pity" she might be foolish enough to spare him. Personally, I liked it. That being said, towards the end, the ML's darkness is addressed (though in a stupid plot point) and they really have to reckon with his lies and her naive idea of him and others. Unfortunately it's very, very poorly done. I wanted to give 7.5, but the last episode knocks down a half point: 7.
What bothers you with it. It's rare to see two leads who are the exact same age, usually one of them is gonna be quite a bit older. Does it bother you because it's Song Hye Kyo? I don't like her but I think she pulls it off in the looks department (i.e it's easy to understand how a younger guy would be attracted to her).
The show fell steadily from a 9 to a 7 for me even with the supporting characters doing their darn best to pull…
What a balanced and mature review! I usually have a hard time seeing good things about a drama if the main characters' plot line is bad. I have yet to watch this drama, I want to do it to witness the train wreck, but now I know there actually are good things coming up.
I was not gonna watch this at first because of the leads. Song Hye Kyo should try and break the image that is being made of her. That she's a beautiful, perfect but cold and emotionally stunted princess. What does she do instead, she chooses roles that are of cold princesses. As for Jang Ki Yong, I don't find his acting compelling AT ALL. I hope he gets to take some acting classes during his hiatus (I don't know if it will be possible) or maybe he'll get to experience new things and broaden his emotional horizons. All that said, I'm gonna watch this drama just because I'm curious about how bad it can actually be haha.
Same i noticed that not like the actor gets the money
Hello! I hope you will see this message: if you don't wanna spend money on this website, don't. I've never spent money on this website, yet I use it very often. Now as you know, websites cost money to maintain. There are costs associated with hosting and maintaining, and the time dedicated with doing all of the above. I don't know what amount of revenue the ads bring, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was not quite enough to cover all costs. Then again, it might be enough. The thing is, the owner of a website have the right to charge users for anything, including the simple use of the site. But MDL is not even charging for use, they are charging for participating in a harmless (and useless to be honest) little game. What's the harm in this, and why are you mad? No where did MDL imply that the money was for the stars, most people give flowers because they want to give money to a website that they find enjoyable. Once again, my friend, it's your right not to participate in the game if you don't want to. Your message reads to me like you wish to participate but you're mad because you don't wanna spend the money in order to. Life is made of choices. Have a great day, no offense intended.
