In one of the shots, you can glimpse that it’s low tide and the weather is bad. I guess they didn’t have time to wait for a natural pretty sunset, given that the end in general seems rushed. But then they should just film in another spot, it wasn’t even necessary for the story to specifically be on a beach…
I thought Ju Taeseon treated Lee Chaeha harshly in the drama, then I read the novel and holy crap the drama is carebear land in comparison. 😭😭😭 I can stomach a lot but I had to drop the novel at the first NC scene. I’m so glad they softened their dynamic for the drama. 🥹
I’m only at the second episode so I can’t say much yet, but it’s cracking me up how everyone keeps saying that Sun doesn’t stand out when dude looks like freaking Jaejoong in Mirotic era like please 😭😂

For the soul sacrifice of Saeng Gang’s mother, Gu Cheon couldn’t know in advance. Him becoming more gwi-mae and less human makes sense though. I guess we might see the ramifications of that in season two (if there is one) since it’s not shown in this season.
The English subtitles were fairly accurate, so all we have left is unreliable narration or slight script incoherences. I can live with that!

Ok #2 makes total sense now.
For #1 I still don’t understand why he says that recovering his sight is very complicated and has consequences and then we see it’s actually quite easy and no consequences are shown. Unless he found an easier hack or the consequences will show up later, but that’s not even alluded to, never mind shown or explained.
#3 and 4: I was under the impression that Gu Cheon was afraid of becoming an ak-gwi because he would lose control and go on a rampage (I think he even says he’ll kill everyone in the palace). In the end he remains of sound mind and even turns against the primordial gwi-mae apparently. So I still don’t get what the big danger was.
Teach you a lesson is like this for first3 episodes, then it gets emotion heavy and action is almost non existent…
So glad I came across your comment. I just finished ep 3 of Teach You a Lesson and the only thing keeping me hooked is the action. You saved my precious time!
I have a couple of questions, anyone who can enlighten me will be greatly appreciated.

2. When he cuts his own throat to go visit the primordial ghost and make a deal with it, why can’t he do that by drowning like usual?
3. He was most afraid of becoming an ak-gwi, and he indeed becomes one. But in the end he’s not? Why was he so afraid of that if it can be reversed, and so quickly at that?
4. How was he able to come back to life? Just because Saeng Gang said to? He didn’t manage to kill the primordial ghost since at the end we see he’s still shackled to it.
Wait whaaat I didn’t recognise him at all in Teach You a Lesson?? Even his acting seems different. Crazy, usually I can spot the BL actors in mainstream dramas immediately. I hope he gets more roles, he’s talented.
