Oop, that plot went nowhere real fast. Is there even anyone in the cast still interested in what happened to the dad in the beginning? And Iām really not feeling the forbidden relationship thrill between Charan and Khanin. Also, why is Zeeās face always blurred to high heaven?
Still here for the pretty costumes, Ava (hope she wins the tournament), and the twisted relationship between Paytai and Ramil.
Someone finally give a long, high budget drama to Kim Seong Hyuk JEBAL.
As usual with those short form dramas, everything is good (plot, script, camera work, music, actingā¦) except they rush through everything like the camera rollās on fire and the characters and I donāt even have time to properly develop emotions.
Iām satisfied with all the couplesā outcome (yes, even thin lips guy and hesitating girl) except for the abusive dude and the girl 10 years younger than him. I really hope she wakes up before itās too late.
Idk if they made it look like that on purpose with editing but my god, dude who lost his sister and his woman look like they're both so bad at communicating. Not sure they'd make it far as a couple being like that, and it pains me to say this because I'm rooting for them so much.
The girl who keeps hesitating is a godsent for this show to farm drama, but I'm over her especially for making guy #7 cry (but tbh he should grow some self-respect and tell her to fuck off, like this is a classic case of being kept around as plan B). Thin lips dude keeps making her waver and for what? Because she called him handsome a couple of times? Please. He'd be better off taking care of his friendship with guy #7. I'm kind of hoping he actually has no interest in her and keeps picking her just to show his bro that she's not trustworthy but I think I'm being delusional. I hope they all end up alone because they're all not ready to get married for different reasons.
I still can't read the dude who broke it off with Shinda, he strikes me as weird. We saw almost no development between him and the new girl but suddenly they're all in for each other because idk, he dumped snow on her once and they had a secret date? Once again, idk if it's the editing and they actually had many moments but yeah, he sets my alarm bells off for some reason. Pororo song girl seems too good for him, she's got a bright personality and great advice for others. I'm kinda wondering if he wasn't forced by the production to stay with Shinda even though he doesn't match any of her criteria just to keep her on the show because she's so entertaining. He always looked like a hostage when he was with her.
The 2 mil. guy who met the brother... his backstory kind of explains why he treated that poor girl that way but it doesn't excuse it. He was literally testing how much he could walk all over her, that's scary as hell. He gives me major abuser vibes. Hope she runs for the hills.
That banker lady who lied in front of the hesitating girl on purpose ("if I can't have thin lips guy nobody can" ass mentality) is such a snake. You can tell she cannot fathom that she's not the #1 hot shit in the house and the way she shit talks other women with her sycophants is vomit-inducing. How does she not care about giving such an image on TV? I guess those potential free clinic trips are worth it... She's beautiful and she's rich, why would she still be single? Well, now we know.
The dude who works in Japan is too good for all this mess, I really hope he dodges banker lady like he dodged that manic pixie, fake-innocent, serial-celebrity-dating beauty model. I'm so happy she's out and I don't have to suffer through watching her play coy anymore.
Shinda's personality is extreme and her playing the victim when she also had a secret date was wild, but I'll say this: at least she's honest about what she wants. I'll take that over the banker lady any day. Clearly no man in the house can handle her (and her demands), but she's still trying and serving us entertainment like she's on the payroll.
The couples I'm most interested in are actually never shown. Like not one second of interview, nothing. I don't even know their condition for marriage or profession. You sometimes see them pass by in the background and you wonder who they are and when they joined. I don't even remember them being introduced during the "train" segment. What the fuck? Are they not problematic enough to get screen time?
Oh and I almost forgot: the cat-like lady who looks like a season 1 contestant and was so popular in the beginning must be truly boring because no man seems to have even a speck of interest in her now.
I actually didnāt mind the format, I even liked that they didnāt waste any time and got to the next scene like the film roll was on fire lmao. The story was cute and the actors were surprisingly good!
Editing and sound mixing were slightly iffy, there were a bit too many coincidences and tripping into each otherās arms, and who learns sign language THAT fast, but fuck me if they werenāt cute af and nailed the emotional scenes. Lowkey Iām upset Iāll never have what they have.
Hope this and Unknown kick off Taiwanās BL renaissance.

Edit: AND IT'S A THRILLER????
