The premise of Kawauchi Miyabi’s story has potential, but the way it’s presented is confusing and inconsistent. On one hand, we are told she is a brilliant neurosurgeon who loses her memory, but on the other, she works as a nurse’s assistant without explanation of how her credentials or past career are addressed. The claim that she “grows as both a doctor and a patient” feels contradictory, since the show frames her as no longer practicing medicine.

The introduction of Sanpei Tomoharu, an eccentric neurosurgeon, could have been a strong mentor–student dynamic, but the name’s similarity to “Senpai” makes the summary feel oddly mistranslated or misleading.

If written well, this drama could explore deep themes: the fragility of memory, identity, and the dignity of someone forced to step away from their profession. However, as it stands, the description is messy and undermines the story’s credibility. Without clearer logic, the show risks feeling less like a powerful medical drama and more like a patchwork of clichés.
