It's possible he didn't drink too much until after the girlfriend died. I don't remember how long after she died that Mr Baek started going after Mr. Gu. I would say it's possible he only started binge drinking within the past couple of years before meeting Mi Jeong and then forward, with a total of about 5 years. That just my assessment. I'm also confused on who he married, but in many Asian cultures, "auntie" is a pronoun often used for a lady that's friends who your close with. It's like how a child might call someone auntie or uncle as a term of endearment towards like their parents' friends. There are moments where it seemed that GJ was talking about her biological aunt, but there are moments where it could just be a family friend. So she might've been talking about different people in different scenes

Going back to episode 9-12, do you think that MJ + Mr. Gu slept together after the kiss? She showered and dried her hair which implies they did, but it's not certain. So I'm just curious what you all think personally.

I think that he married the lady that sent food, the "auntie" that kept calling GJ. If it was just a cleaning lady or maid, then the siblings likely wouldn't have moved out and the pictures of their family could be kept on the wall. I think he remarried and that was too much for the siblings to deal with.

Mi Jeong told the lady at the market she lost her dog to explain why she was crying. They don't have a dog. It was a metaphor for Mr. Gu. Her mom realized that Mi Jeong was sad over Mr. Gu based on the lady's comments. Mi Jeong didn't let her family know how bad she felt or why they broke up. Her mom was surprised that she didn't have Mr. Gu's number, etc

I mean the lady at the cosmetic company tried to scam them. He didn't lay a finger on her. She was embarrassed and it might've caused problems with her boss, but she brought the situation upon herself. I honestly thought Mr. Gu's role at the bars included the use of violence. We sort of see that when he breaks that car window a few episodes back, but he wasn't punching anyone. I was scared when I watched them walk the lady to the ATM, but it thankfully didn't get worse than verbal intimidation. He didn't threaten to break anything at the store or take any jewelry off her. I think it could've been worse. I don't find him disgusting.

Episode 13 thoughts: The stroller! And the baby was always carried, it wasn't in the stroller in any scenes though. Why was Mr. Gu shaking in the beginning of the episode though? Did he think that he was going to get shot in the back by the boss guy? Or was he just jittery due to the alcohol and the cold weather? I really wasn't expecting that twist with Mrs. Yeom. Sigh.

This is a question about a line from episode 12. Towards the end of the breakup scene, MJ says that she will carry her child, and she wants to carry him [Mr. Gu] at one year old. Was there a typo or mistranslation in there or is she saying she talking about a hypothetical child between them? I believe the main point was that she's different from the other women and will literally carry her child in her arms instead of using a stroller, but was there another meaning in that exchange?
