I think all that is to try and set up a background for the plot and its major case elements first. This time they…
I see your piont and it is only 4 episodes in so lets see where it goes.

Is it just me that feel that those episodes seem short?
Absolutely the episodes are much more tightly cut yet the episodes feel far longer than season one. Not to mention the cuts are far faster and more frequent here than the original.

The editing is perhaps the biggest hinderance to this fully feeling like the original. The biggest litmus test…
To add to that the focus of the show seems far less organized than before. It might be the writer mistaking a love of the show for every character. Yes the other characters were good but make no mistake the major draw was the two leads relationship and interactions and this season has been starved of that especially.
And again on the focus on side characters .... Do na police guy friend... why? He wasnt all that interesting in the first and here i think hes had more screen time with Do na than Shi mok.Honestly other than light mentions he probably shouldnt feature so prominently in this season either.
On Stranger Season 2 Aug 23, 2020
The editing is perhaps the biggest hinderance to this fully feeling like the original. The biggest litmus test for that has to be the conversation between Chief Prosecutor and the lawyer. The amount of cuts in that scene alone is horrific. Felt very much like they were trying to make the conversation go by shorter than it did. Contrast that to just about any conversation scene from the OG that was just as convo heavy yet those scenes were some of my favourites: Shi Mok and Do na first meeting at his office is far superior and had slower edits and it really leaned in on us focusing on what they were saying and how they were acting it out, the prosecutor and polics meeting going over the crime in the OG etc.
Also far too much of this new season is given to side characters. Im even questioning why even bring back the Chair woman and what does her case have to do really with the issue of prosecutor and police conflict which is actually interesting.

I think the start of Season 2 is better than the start of Season 1... The editing is also better.I do agree that…
Im actually going to have to disagree on the editing front. The amount of cuts during some scenes are ungodly. Especially the conversation between the lawyer and chief prosecutor. It could barely settle on a single shot for what felt like 5 seconds.
Compare that with Si mok first meeting with Do na in season 1 about the same length of conversation far less edited as the editor leaned more into the actual content of tbe conversation being interesting and how well the actors brought it across.

The whole pretending to be another person was a bit far-fetched worst Kim Ha Neul looked barely any different if they had managed to convince the audience at least it wouldn't have been too bad.To call the drama a disappointment however is a bit harsh and it certainly is setting up itself to be a pretty emotional engaging drama with interesting and infuriating characters equally.

Title Confession
Not the most memorable drama ever and certainly not one of these years either but by no means a bad drama.Just unremarkable. The opening episodes were good the story itself dragged for quite a bit after that piling more and more character into the mix whom didn't exactly inspire much emotion.Acting was fine, music was only occasionally intrusive and visually it was pretty standard TvN mystery.

I think a handful of viewers gave it a rating below five. Sigh.
Sigh indeed.
On Different Dreams May 13, 2019
The editing/ directing leaves much to be desired. The sometimes over dramatic music cues and the god awful editing I mean episodes 5-6 where just ridiculous and the pacing in those two episodes he amount of things that happened could have easily been 2 one hour episodes instead of what felt like a massive clutter. The acting performances and production design are neat tho even if the editor is chopping and splicing them mercilessly.

This is shaping up into my clear best of this year so far and I don't mean that lightly. Fantastic viewing and the score it has now is an injustice
On Save Me Season 2 May 10, 2019
OCN must really think they're slick. Not only is this based off an already existing property(The Fake) outside of a shared writer the show has no real links to the original Save Me. Calling it some sort of spiritual successor is just their way of saying we found something close enough to a previously successful show and so banking off its success we'll give you this "fake" -ironic and call it Save Me 2. They should have given the original story its dignity and called it by its rightful name instead of banking of Save Me.
Overall it not bad at all Directing/Cinematography is good enough tho the comedy bits really threw a wrench in that whole spiritual successor nonsense, acting is fine in fact the cast is pretty lovely, storywise its still been only two episodes so I'll hold off on ripping too far into it tho it ain't bad either. So I'll probably be seeing more episodes of it.

Well it was rocky at first but it certainly did pull through in the end.A great, fun watch from start to end with only occasional discomfort from some eyebrow raising editing.P.S. Seo Hyun nagging Seok Joo at the end was priceless. :)

its probably just me, but i feel like i can watch multiple seasons of this drama
I know what you mean especially since this episode. The show feels like one of those rare K-drama I'd actually support getting a second season.

Couldn't agree more.Funny how it took the show reaching rock bottom in its presentation before it finally stabilised. Lol

Certainly a solid watch. I'm a big fan of business oriented drama usually when a kdrama has business as a tag it basically office romance which is damn infuriating. Beside Seo Bo Gyul being constantly short changed by the writer as the comic relief nothing bad to say here.

Glad to see your still watching 3GGG. The editing and art direction may make us cringe sometimes but it would be a lie if I didn't say that writer-nim doesn't know how to hit those beats.

I work in a hospital and I see parents acting like her... on some occasions. It's not a surprise.
That is true. Its just in the not so real Drama land I feel a little more restraint on the directors part would haven't been bad. Sometimes less is more its a little like silent fury it has a way of getting you sometimes more so than constantly lashing out.
On Beautiful World Apr 21, 2019
Overall its an okay drama. The story is in all honesty...stale and the how its being told isn't very fresh either. The characters are overall okay too. Sun Ho,s mother is overacting her crying and shouting is just overdone at some points and painfully so.The big mystery of what happened is virtually unhardened it pretty obvious who's involved and that it wasn't suicide. The daughters performance is spectacular tho she'd done well in this and in Sky Castle.
