OCN cutting this show to the millisecond and honest I hate and love that. They don't end up wasting time on fluff and helps focus and streamline their narratives.
Im gonna be that person and say without a doubt this old lady played perhaps thesingle biggest role in her demise. Every action she took was illogical and guaranteed her death not too mention how half way through the last episode it was abundantly clear they were gonna kill her off.
Maybe you should read a newspaper instead of a sci-fi kdrama where people fly through the sky if you are so sensitive…
Thank you! I've also made that storm trooper joke too?. As well as the issue of action sequences being better shot. It's actually laughable and someone made the comment regarding the Director being the same as City Hunter, because pre 2013 drama had the greatest action sequences as we all know. I feel like most of these issue will be ironed out when a small article I wrote about Episode 3and4 is released.

And that's entirely fine. Doesn't discount the problems with the series but if you enjoy it either way it's fine not everyone watchs for the experience of Kdrama as a full production.

Hung up about professionals not making a mess of something they're paid to do? It being a sci-fi here people fly through the sky doesn't divorce it from excusing common sense narrative choices. There is such a concept as internal consistency which is important regardless of genre but especially in Sci-fi ie not breaking the rules of your world. Magic realism is another concept though none of them need be applied to the clearly silly desicions that are often taken.
Episode 6 was a marked improvement though some problems still lingered. The whole set up of sending in Park Shin Hye was a massive facepalm. Do any of the people in this world watch the news. Not lest in a den of individuals who should be the most primed to the situation being Quantum and Time employees. Also am I the only one that saw the dolly tracks in the lawn during the party scenes. The Control Bureau still living up to the Incompetence Bureau nickname. However the reveals were pretty good and just in time. I was gonna raise a stink about Psychologist friend being far too present in company business but then...... the thing happened. Using the moon to determine date was also a smart idea though the way its executed is questionable. No astronomy expert ( nor is he ironically) but pretty sure he'd need to have seen a chart to reach that conclusion.
The episodes are getting to be a slog to get through. The major future scene here was literally wasteful. They have a fight scene that achieves only in giving more fuel for logical digs to be made at the staging and execution. They have a drone and somehow they can't pinpoint the targets, idiots are just wilding spraying bullets like its water and more star-tropper tier aim. All for an emotion payoff in the past/current that didn't need any of that. The fight was literally pointless.
You've got the mansion being effectively unguarded, they run into a million people and somehow no one recognizes the literal billionaire celebrity CEO cause a major traffic blockage and doesn't prompt any of The Competence Bureau's advanced search abilities and the brokers somehow aren't caught because the common sense move of back tracking your suspects eludes the Almighty Control Bureau. Make it make sense.
The whole back end of episode 10 reeks of" we have to draw the diet coke of a conflict we have left for one more week". Like why would you believe them over Zi O. They've kidnapped you, threatened to kill you on a number of occasions and have all vested interest in taking your child away. Why is it so hard to believe that they are also lying about the murder of your parents. HAVE SOME SENSE please.
Here comes the rant. This show is becoming a bit ridiculous. First off The Control Bureau is a joke. What exactly…
Not to mention them unloading in the smokescreen live bullets and then being told they want them alive only after. WHATTT?? Why not just use something else like a gas to knock them out. Dont get me started on the way they dont rush in after the guys inside are clearly engaged and need back up or dont do the basic securing of the perimeter. I MEAN ARE YOU EVEN SERIOUS?? And cherry bombing to open that door EXTRA ANYBODY a bobby pin would have been more sensible.
Should we even touch on the clownery of the supposedly highly trained Control Bureau being defeated by mento- coke science........ I wont even. The first two episodes of this show held some amount of problems but great promise. These two definitely did a great job ripping that up.
Here comes the rant. This show is becoming a bit ridiculous. First off The Control Bureau is a joke. What exactly are the rules surrounding how they approach people from the other side? In one moment they're kitted out to the tie the next they are free handing. They have enough power to kill people on sight but a few bystander prevented them from shooting Park Shin Hye. Later they shoot up a whole damn neighbourhood and are just like we'll clean that. THEN WHY NOT BEFORE! They capture her and some how get ambushed by ML how exactly? Did he put a tracker on them...what...how? They weren't hunting him down after he fled. DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE? Later in the episode they do this so why not before?????? The amount of times they have clear neutralizing shoots and dont use them is beyond frustrating!
A surprisingly good opening for this one. Give or take some of the physics, CGI high jinx the second episode left me genuinely intrigued to know more and wanting to see where this goes. If the match is between this and LUCA, The Myth clearly wins out.
Zombies in a saeguk setting doesn't belong to Kingdom. It was used in the movie Rampant as well which was extremely…
Wasnt really trying to be an asshole nor did I infer that that particular format belonged to Kingdom. The idea however, that any of the current craze isn't simply networks trying to catch a quick buck and network bump off the back of Kingdom isn't blatantly obvious would be a definite oversight. Further the zombie's aren't made under the same mechanics isnt some great refresh, that's the basics. Considering also that Kingdom was in development long before it's 2019 release that being a delay from what should have been a 2018 release if I remember correctly. With the idea of said series being floated around and reported on much earlier-Rampant isn't that safe an anchor point. That too says nothing as it wasn't like Rampant was some uber success in South Korea (it didn't even breakeven) that would inspire a network to take on the enormous commitment of funding a drama the scale that would be necessary to inspire the desired effect. Kingdom on the other hand did.
Its either Kdrama writers are working in a hivemind or they're just blatantly working off the same cheat sheet. I get working with a trend but it's as if the networks have a bunch of scripts stashed away of different themes ready for the right time.
So we gonna just act like this isn't SBS's attempt at Kingdom but on network tv budget. They could at least have tried to go for some other type of creature. Tsk tsk tsk

Its a literal hello fellow kids move
