In the film, the special affection that Dew has for Mint can be clearly felt. It is a real love, starting from…
Dew was never dating Mint. She repeatedly asked him, and he repeatedly shot her down. He's clearly afraid to be honest and authentic about his sexuality, but he never led her on or told her he loved her like that. I'm not sure where people are getting that, but every time she says she loves him or wants to date him, he says she's his best friend and he doesn't want to ruin what they have. It's creepy that Mint won't just take a hint. Even the guy who's simping over her says he suspects Dew is actually gay and thus incapable of loving her the same way.
So yeah, he genuinely loves her--as a friend. Mint just won't accept it to the point of delusion. The other stuff though, yeah, I can't explain that. I'm trying to give the show the benefit of the doubt, but we'll see if any of that is ever explained. Just like how Mint has been in love with this guy and he's her best friend, but Mum has never heard of him or seen a picture of him or even heard his name? It's not like they aren't regularly in each other's lives.
Already a filler episode on week 3? I don't give 2 Fs about the side characters and their side stories.
It's not filler, to be fair. These are characters that will be part of the mystery, and their circumstances play into what happens later. That being said, I could have done without an entire episode devoted to them. All it did was make me hate Mint and all of the characters defending her obsession and refusal to take no for an answer.
I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and guess this will be out February 8th, just based on the fact that the other two seem to be coming out first, and the release schedule is two episodes every Wednesday.
Wait, isn’t Jimmy on the poster for this show? But he’s not listed as a cast member. Anybody know why?
Jimmy had to drop out of a lot of his projects due to mental health issues. He's only in a small part for one show in 2023. Hopefully he gets the treatment he needs to come back strong in 2024.
I'd take a stab and say this isn't a BL. To me this looks like they all got together to have fun :) Looks great…
Mini-rant alert: As much as I was looking forward to a high octane BL, I would be fine with it not being BL if it's just gen. No romance anywhere with anyone. However, it seems like they're already gearing up for some het romance. I hope that isn't the case, because it would sting a bit for a BL company's first non-BL to be a fun story with het romance but no m/m. It feels a bit like baiting in the sense that BL fans will watch it for the actors they love, while it can be marketed to the preferred demographic/audience of people who want to see straight romance. Which already exists in everything. Every zombie story has het in it already.
Sorry, just a little bitter because BL fans are already made to feel apologetic for liking what we like. I feel like the company counts on it. It wouldn't be hard at all to have a little m/m throughout, just like the way they weave in straight stuff in these things, but I'll try not to jump to conclusions just yet. Trying to have faith in the company to make something satisfying.
so we got our Bl people in here but some of their partners are missing. this is going to be interesting . and…
The tags are chosen by whatever fan set up this page, so don't let those speak for it just yet. The shows themselves don't make these pages. Hopefully it'll be clearer soon. All these BL actors, it'd be easy to put in a little m/m romance, but for whatever reason BL is never allowed in fun and exciting genres. I guess we'll find out.
do we know for sure if this is BL yet? adding to watchlist regardless. 🫣
It has an appearance that makes me think it might not be, but we won't know for sure until the trailer next year, I guess. Unless they explicitly said it in Thai during the show and someone can tell us. I was really excited at first, now I'm afraid to get my hopes up.
I got really excited because I thought I was finally getting a zombie show with BL in it, because Mandee so far has only done BL stuff, haven't they? I hope this one has some m/m stuff, because all I want in life is exciting shows with a sprinkling of gay in them. Plots like this ALWAYS have some het romance in them, even this one it looks like, so wtf.
I desperately hope that this still happens with Jimmy and Tommy. I want to see them in this so much.
Sadly, they recast Jimmy. Poor guy, I hope he's able to get proper treatment. But apparently Tommy did stay with this one, maybe because it was too interesting to pass up.
EDIT: Jimmy is there for one of their 2023 shows though. I guess they just needed to significantly lighten his work load for the time being.
i quoted from someone on twitter:"Tbh kinda tired how people push everything to be BL nowadays.""Friendship theme…
I actually agree that people never let friendship just exist, and I don't like that, but it only seems to come up when it's referring to M/M stuff. No one was complaining until BL got popular, but this isn't new. I think people pushing every M/F friendship into romance is a way worse issue. Why can't women and men ever be freaking friends? Like even the freaking rabbit and fox from Zootopia are shipped. What is with people forcing everything to be romantic?
Thank you do much for your hard work putting into this list! I come to check it regularly, most often this is…
Aww, thank you for such a nice comment! I'm so glad my list is helping people. I really appreciate you taking the time to let me know it's worth something.
Oh wow, Best Natapoj is actually gonna be in a show that comes out! He was only ever cast in two other BLs, both of which were canceled. I felt so bad for him, but it'd be great if he finally gets a shot here. I hope it isn't a curse that spreads to this project though. >.>
