I can't stand how people don't even bother to analyze jinzhao-jiangmu dynamics and just reduce jiangmu to being…
[continuation]
let me try to prove a point: if you dare say jiangmu is childish, then i'd also dare say jinzhao is childish/ have childish moments. Case in point: ep17
Sanlai: why do you think it was for her own good?
JZ: You think you know it better than me?
Sanlai: I just know it better!
JZ: I don't want to argue with you. *walks away*
Sanlai: Youjiu! Can you stop being so arrogant? Today she found out by accident, but what about next time? And the time after that?
JZ: I know what I'm doing! She's MY girlfriend. I don't need YOU to teach me.
Now, who are you calling childish? Mind you, jiangmu was the one ACTIVELY initiating a healthy communication with jinzhao. She's always attentive and patient when jinzhao is ready to share or open up.
I was just trying to prove a point, ok? i love zhaozhao mumu, i've read the novel, i've read tons of SAL fan analyses (frame-by-frame analyses, dialogues, cinematography etc) so i somehow understand their own struggles, emotional connections, and why they acted in that way in certain scenes. yes, the drama isn't perfect and has a lot to improve but it's just so tiring to see the same remark on jiangmu.
ugh i can't help but also blame the production/creative team for not giving jiangmu substantial scenes of her own life when she's not around jinzhao. this is one of my "could've"s for SAL π. her scenes with her schoolmates, colleagues were merely happy light interactions with no story of its own, no conflicts & resolution that will flesh out jiangmu's personality around them. meanwhile, jinzhao was given a highschool flashback on how he & sanlai became friends, and he was also given the heated argument scene with sanlai i mention above, as well as his later reconciliation with sanlai by the river.
I can't stand how people don't even bother to analyze jinzhao-jiangmu dynamics and just reduce jiangmu to being childish. there's so much details sprinkled in their dialogues and flashbacks.
SAL ep28 (last ep for korea) is airing tomorrow, right? or has it ended already? Any updates from korean viewers, are the released episodes the same as the china version so far? π₯² still waiting on a specific cut scene
it's new content but prerecorded π₯² but heyu reel seems to have been shot recently during his miumiu event cause…
prerecorded is totally ok for me! i hope the marketing team have more unreleased pics/contents in their vault because i'm hoping they'd also post anything new on SAL's 1st anniv. I recently saw the 1st anniv contents of The Best Thing (a simple yet heartwarming bday greeting to ml) and The First Frost (new couple pictures) and I can't help but hope SAL team would do the same in the future
it's my first time seeing this content (or maybe i did but forgot) so I want to ask if this is a new content? like has it ever been posted in weibo or other platforms way before?
also idk if it's intentional or not (regardless) but Esther's hengdian reuters today reminded me so much of Nanjing Jiangmu β€οΈ (last Feb12 she dressed as Thailand Jiangmu when she released her ver of Would You Like That).
Heyu also posted on instagram an hour ago for SAL korea.
"Seeing that the young man was buying sanitary pads for his girlfriend in the middle of the night, the shopkeeper thought he must be a caring partner. So, she tactfully grabbed a box of condoms from the back shelf and tossed it into the plastic bag."
If you've come across those posts in social media where they say men are selfish for always having to put the burden of birth control to women (i.e. sufferring from the long-term side effects of contraception methods like pills), not wanting to use condoms because it "reduces" the pleasure for them,
then you'll get an idea how the convenience store auntie judged Jin Zhao as a boyfriend and why she included condoms (though she did hastily assumed he was buying for his girlfriend β it could be for his sister lol), aside from promoting her store. In the drama, she said "Please support my business more often", implying Jin Zhao rarely buys at her store.
I think the scene doesn't necessarily imply/encourage/promote sex during menstruation period.
What is initial D, I see people emntion it but I don't get it
whoa everyday i learn something new abt SAL. i went to YT to watch some popular clips of Initial D. It turns out one of my favorite scenes of jinzhao: his turning-off-headlights technique was referenced from this anime. so cool!
I saw many drones show . Set by Cfans for Xin Xin .Really wanna know wat was written π₯Ή.Sad couldn't read chinese…
me too, i can't understand chinese. only relying on google translate/google lens.
i tried to translate some screenshots. others don't make sense. here are some phrases i got:
"Xinxin, look up! We are all in a sea of people, all loving you." "Wish you free and safe way" "The clouds have just arrived, and the beginning of gathering is about to begin." "Yun Chuling's auspicious start"
hi!! see the 2 photos I uploaded in Photos section above. Just minutes ago, there was a drone show for Esther's new drama Yun Chu Ling in Hengdian (thanks to the livestreamer I came across my feed in XHS). I got so excited when I saw our best girl Jiang Mu ππ (in the initial part of the drone show, Esther's previous drama characters were shown altogether)
Sangmin's face is so adorable! I see TXT Choi Beomgyu and a little bit of Kim Seonho whenever I see his face on screen.
Ahjeong, you're an amazing method actor π You got the visuals and talent, and even got the praises of those staffs who badmouthed you. No wonder, Jihan fell so fast haha. Excited for the ep 4, the method actress versus the clingy brother-in-law
