also this is the same thing as saying, " i'm not racist i have black friends" like dude what the hell are you…
First of all, Kai, I want to apologize for the pain you may have faced. For the betrayal you may have felt when they did what they did. I am also sorry that people keep ignoring your pronouns despite having corrected everyone multiple times. *hugs*

However, I am going to disagree with this strongly. No *one* event should define anyone. Especially if nobody was hurt. And I don't mean emotionally (because lbr, there are things people can do that can hurt people emotionally without them knowing - for example, people with the name Gerard trigger a bad reaction in me - and its not their fault that their name is Gerard, and I try not to judge them, but I can't help my reaction. It triggers an emotional response in me that could hurt them).

Both Perth and Chimon are 21 and 22 respectively. The things being said about their "homophobic" behavior was years ago. Do you remember being that young (tbh I don't know how old you are, but I am assuming its older than them, maybe not and I apologize for that)? How peers and their thoughts and actions could possibly influence yours? How you might have said and done things you may not believe is right because you just want to fit in. I'm not saying that is the case here, but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Do I think any of that excuses homophobic comments or behavior? No. But do I think that people can change as they grow older, learn more and become more confident in their convictions? Yes. Do I think that people can evolve in the way they look at the world? Yes. Why? Because I honestly believe that fear and the unknown can make people do some seriously terrible stuff, and on a scale of 1 to 10 of horrible things, their actions don't even register. We don't know anything about the situation - the context, their real beliefs or anything. What makes us better than them if we judge them over a video that may or may not have been intended to be posted publicly? We can only take at face value? It's like someone picking out the worst pictures of you - the ones of you digging your nose, picking a wedgie, or something worse and posting them on social media - people can speculate about how dirty/nasty you are, but they may not know the context - maybe it was posed, maybe you didn't know someone took a picture of you, maybe you had a cold.

As a celebrity people give their words and actions weight, yes. But that is not their fault or their choice.

P.S. I believe that everyone can change. It is my hope that they do. But if we keep holding things they did in the past against them, nobody will want to change because it will make them resentful too. If we want to make a better world, a better society, a better culture, we need to be able to accept people for what they currently believe, not what they said when they were young, dumb and felt they were invincible (which to be honest, I think Perth and Chimon are still in that YDB phase of their lives and are just about learning what life is about).

As a younger person, I used to get riled up and boycott actors who said homophobic or sexist things. But over time I realized that so much can be taken out of context, and some things can look really bad when taken out of context. I also realized that beliefs change. Thoughts evolve. And even if it takes decades homophobes can become less homophobic and even become allies, but we need to be open to that too. If we keep complaining about homophobia as a problem but refuse to accept people whose ideas change, we just exacerbate the problem.

There is also a culture difference. Thailand, in my opinion, is one of the most open countries when it comes to LGBTQ+ people. But because of cultural differences there are things that western communities get sensitive about that Thai people don't - a big example of this is the wife/husband thing - it is still such a struggle for me to see that. The only show that really addressed this in a way that is "acceptable" to western audiences is Bad Buddy. Another example is the whole rape-y aspect of Thai BL dramas and it triggers me so bad. But I've been told that in Thailand it is a contextual thing - it is more of dubious consent situation than non-con. But to my western educated brain, all of it is just "NO NO NO NO NO. No means No. Back away. Drunk = rape. Back the F away.."

When they say a character is fluent in english and then punch down on a character who is speaking perfectly well - he did not sound like he was saying "salmon" at all - to showcase that character and the english is AWFUL ... like why even make this a plot point if you don't have someone to consult for English script and pronounciation?

Like lets be real Q's English in that scene in episode 1 was way better than X's. X didn't say "Almond" any better than Q did. And all of the sudden the people on the other end understood it better? WTF? X also had a very strong accent and he definitely did NOT pronounce words any better than Q. I'm not saying this because I have a problem with the way they were speaking but more with the fact that they put that scene in to show how fluent and good X is at English - much more so that Q. X's English fluency was brought up multiple times in the episode. Like wtf did that script even mean? Are they a franchise seller? "We have many bakeries for you" Oh my goodness. I wanted to throw my laptop against the wall. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PUT ENGLISH IN YOUR SCRIPT TO GET AN INTERNATIONAL AUDIENCE. They will come regardless. But if you do put it, find someone who actually knows the language to proof read it. If you're bragging about fluency, get a linguist/accent coach to help with pronounciations and diction.
On Nanon Korapat Kirdpan Aug 3, 2022
I am screaming. I never thought I'd see Nanon in a BL. I am dying. I am in the middle of watching Bad Buddy. And I totally thought it was just a bromance show but then Pran (Nanon) cries when Pat (Ohm) says he likes the girl. And I knew it wasn't just a bromance it was a BL. And the Pran and Pat kiss and I'm like ":eyes:.... whaaaat is going on? I thought Nanon only did straight roles"..... not that I am complaining. He is a phenomenal actor. I have enjoyed most of his roles. I hope he continues to act in the BL genre in high quality projects like bad buddy.

He is not having Stockholm Syndrome. He doesn't have any symptoms of it whatsoever.
Vegas didn't let Pete leave. Pete literally knocked Vegas out and escaped.... did we not watch the same show?

Did you even watch the same show? It is a classic case of Stockholm syndrome. Like Vegas literally tortured him almost to death. Did you see how Pete flinched when Vegas smacked the book out of his hands when he was talking about how people who have hedgehogs want to be loved. Like literally y'all are glorifying Pete/Vegas when it is a very effed up relationship. And trust me, I adore Pete as a character, and think Vegas is a very interesting character who can have an amazing story/redemption arc if they leave him alive for a second season and maybe then Pete and he can have an actual healthy relationship.

BTW. Stockholm Syndrome is a psychological response to being held captive. People with Stockholm syndrome form a psychological connection with their captors and begin sympathizing with them.

In addition to the original kidnapper-hostage situation, Stockholm syndrome now includes other types of trauma in which there’s a bond between the abuser and the person being abused.

Many medical professionals consider the victim’s positive feelings toward their abuser a psychological response — a coping mechanism — that they use to survive the days, weeks or even years of trauma or abuse.

Rather than Pete choosing Vegas, I think Vegas should choose Pete.

He has wronged Pete, hurt Porsche, betrayed the main family. Maybe him helping Porsche is his way of making amends. Idk.

Pete is my favourite. I hate seeing him stockholm syndromed but at the same time both of them are so broken because of their abusive fathers. And although Pete seems like he came out of it well, I hope they both can heal from the trauma. 🤗🤗

you can't press charges for break up lol
No, but you can for other things if things were as bad alleged.

What was the purpose of her post anyways? To hurt him? To cause him to lose his public image? To get him to acknowledge that he'd done something wrong? To get him canceled? To get closure for herself? Everyone has a purpose for their actions. Maybe she was just hurt and needed to vent and didn't think of how far-reaching the ramifications of her actions would be. Anyways, my point is that we need to stop putting celebrities on pedestals and expecting them to be 100% Angels. Because they aren't. Nobody is perfect. Maybe it's the optimist in me that thinks people are capable of doing better and being better.

She did this because she cannot press charges. Nothing that happened between them is illigal
We don't know what happened. And tbh, its none of our business. If this was a layperson. Nobody would care. People only care because he's a celebrity and has now shattered the image of "perfection".

We need to have better laws to prevent things like this happening. That prevent women from being coerced and manipulated into doing things they don't want to, that account for psychological trauma and emotional abuse as a form of domestic abuse as well. Actor Kim Yong Gun faced legal charges from his girlfriend because he was forcing her to abort their child as well.

Work to fix the country rather than canceling celebrities. Because that won't prevent the same thing happening to common folk. KSH's ex could use the platform of him being a celebrity to bring the issue to light. But what about the hundreds of women who's partner isn't a celebrity? They just suffer in silence, and nothing will ever be done to punish the person. But KSH will bear the brunt of all their pain as the posterchild for the issue.

Person Kim Seon Ho
So I just finished watching Start-up and Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha back to back and I came here and found out about the 'scandal'.

I like Kim Seon Ho as an actor. No doubt he's very talented and handsome. And if he were to grace my screen again I would not turn off the show.

About the scandal. I don't think the Woman should be tarred and feathered and neither do I think Kim Seon Ho should be cancelled. I do think that she should press charges and let the law prosecute him accordingly.

I think we need to stop putting Celebrities on pedestals. They are human. They make mistakes, sometimes very big ones. And they should be punished for them. Everyone has the right to chose whether or not they will support someone's work based on their past. But we should also be willing to let people grow, make amends, and reform themselves. KSH could have denied the allegation, but he didn't he apologized for her actions. And I know that's a trend in SK - do something wrong, apologize, be forgiven. And maybe only time will tell how things really go. But we really need to stop treating celebrities like deities who can do nothing wrong. Time and time again celebrities have scandals that sometimes leave you questioning your faith in humanity. But we are not judge, jury or executioner. Let the law do its job. If you have issue with the law, lets work towards fixing that. Let's work on fixing corruption. Let's work on their being stricter punishment for domestic abuse. Let's work on there being some kind of reform mandate for people who have these charges levied on them - i.e. mandatory therapy and etc.

This just felt like a bad knock-off of 2 Moons. 👀 I actually loved the original cast of 2 moons and was sad that it was recast for 2Moons2 (although the 2nd cast did a great job reclaiming it and giving it their own flavor). Ming/Kit was tbh the only reason I watching this shitshow was because of Kim and Copter.

This show was so slow. It was just dragging and dragging and dragging. And enough with the whole wayu drama omg. I was so done with it. I mean I adore bass. But I was so done with the crying and whinging. Like coooooomeeeeee onnnnnn! I'm a hellla emotional girl and even I was DONE!

Yes I know, I've followed them for months. But a TV show that is scripted is different from a lifestyle vlog/blog/channel.

Cause he actually gay, some Directors in Thai don’t want a guy person in their bl dramas (sadly)
There are many gay actors in thailand who have been/are regularly cast in BLs and other shows. Take the guy who played Green in 2gether for example. He's in so many shows. There are others, but I know what you mean - there's this idea that if they cast a gay lead it will lead to RL drama & heartbreak. Which is just stupid. I hetero shows, do the actors fall in love and cause drama every time? no. that's just such a backward though process. but yeah w/e.
