Don't judge the book by the cover!
When she seems like a loser but turns out to be a genius in her field, and even the most pessimistic boss notices it but refuses to admit it... The PLOT was promising right from the start. This lawyer's strong even when she tells her boyfriend to fuck off on a blind date after he proposes, and she does so without speaking or shouting, but using sign language. Some of the shots are also beautiful, like the one of the shadows of him and his wife, or the perspective on the teacups. Atypical legal cases are also interesting, but that's not all. In addition to work, there was also the personal life of many characters.
The sentence:
"Love begins with passion, then meets reality, and ends with solidarity" let me impress. A brief analysis of love stories.
PS: Beyond the Bar (Netflix), I don't understand the choice of this title .

I'll start with the PLOT: who gets married without even having met her once or at least having seen a photograph of her? They want a divorce, yes, no... A passage that I particularly remember was her clever idea to sign the contract with the imprint. There I thought they had a good idea.CAST: no goosebumps, the faces of the protagonists are always the same, not very expressive, no chemistry, cold kisses, then his attitude of taking her rudely against her will I didn't like much his character.
OST: nothing special. Usually when I like it I look for who the singer is and add it to my playlist but it wasn't the case.

The story itself is nothing special. In short, one could say that out of spite a woman wants to take the company away from its rival and even succeeds. But the best part is the relationship that develops between this director and her assistant. I like how he is attentive to everything that concerns her. A true gentleman and also a sweet father. Then I was struck by certain shots, such as zooms on the hands which were scenes that speak without words, as well as the good OST, I particularly liked them.
A small note to the make-up artists, they could have dulled the protagonist's face a little, who always seemed sweaty.

You never know people fully
An ex-prosecutor, mother and lawyer lost her husband in a car accident. Apparently he met his death in a cliff and the police believe that he committed suicide. She faces debts and many dangerous situations, but the biggest surprise comes when she discovers that her husband is alive and not at all the good guy he seemed to be. Kidnapping, twists, lots of bad news... all ingredients of this series.
Revenge is the key word and I won't say anything else.
The plot was quite well constructed.
Great wife! I admired this tough and intelligent woman. Even she was scared, she faced situations head on.
I also like the character of her prosecutor friend.
The end of 9th episode seems to be the conclusion of the series, in the meantime there are other "troubles".
I found it right that the series was made up of 12 episodes and not 16.

Better to lose with dignity than to win with dishonor!
I appreciate the revenge of this rugby player who fell from grace for doping. He disappeared and three years later, he will return to this sports school to coach this team of seven boys.I found the soundtrack to be spot on, especially the music during the explanation of "what rugby is" that made me smile because it reminded me of the Quark programm. I liked the natural acting and the interludes with comics based on the images, as well as... the handsome young men.
A little less so are the moments where the shooting coach is treated like a slave by these school principals.
Their dirty methods to undermine the rugby team for more funding or for themselves. New guidelines, manipulation, unfavorable situations, unequal battles between the best in their classes against people who have never practiced... I couldn't wait for the showdown, especially from episode 9 onwards, when kneeling seemed to be the order of the day.
I didn't know about the existence of this rare disease, MYASTHENIA, which causes muscle weakness, eyelid damage (eyelids, double vision), and respiratory paralysis. Kudos to the actor for his performance, which makes these moments so touching. His character is a brilliant motivator for these kids, winning them over with his actions and advocating for them.
A mix of feelings: anger, seeing that those who play dirty, despite injustice and violence, always have everyone at their feet. Emotion, accompanied by a few tears, for these two coaches who put the well-being of their players before their own (support, sacrifices); tenderness for this captain who timidly confesses his love to the girl he likes; praise for the director who supports this coach through thick and thin; admiration for this shooter who trains hard to regain her balance after the accident.
A few emotional tears in the last few episodes.

We're talking about a series from 10 years ago. This is for a bit of healthy retro flair. From the start, we empathize with this "poor" hostess whose boyfriend cheats on her with a colleague. If that weren't enough, her mother dies, and after her funeral, she also discovers she has a young stepfather. Bomb start. At the heart of it all is the dispute over this dumpling restaurant.
We'll find out why the mother got married and what her relationship was with this boy with a troubled past.
The first part is more interesting, then it loses its luster.
The soundtrack is so-so, but I enjoyed "What to do," sung by Henry Lau.

After five years, they meet again. He becomes the investor in her project and discovers he's also the father of her child. Both, father and son, are suffering from heart problems. He moves in with them... really a nice family picture. However, the past returns to destabilize the couple, and he tries everything he can to gain forgiveness, but she makes him suffer before agreeing to become a couple.
I was afraid I'd start to tire of pushing things too far and acting like a precious, sulky girl, and I was, in fact, on the verge of it.
But seeing the son team up with his father, who wants to win his mother back, was beautiful. The child, needless to say, plays the role of Cupid. The male lead actor was very good at playing the part of the lover because his eyes took on the shape of a heart every time they rested on his beloved.
The stories of the two secondary couples intertwine well and create a nice backdrop. Beautiful settings, well-dressed, good actors... Perhaps I shouldn't have avoided spoiling the three couples in the credits.

Boyfriend on demand - Fiction or reality?
The protagonist is offered a device that allows you to virtually experience different dates as if they were real. She falls in love with a boyfriend but discovers she's not the only one going out with him, and she says and does the same things to all the others. So she upgrades, where, at his direction, she describes her ideal boyfriend and discovers she's been describing her colleague with whom she didn't get along. A moment of confusion as she tries to figure out where fiction ends and reality begins, and she opts for reality.I initially liked the idea of this plot itself because it was novel, but then it was poorly (trivially) exploited.
Virtual life is great, but if it were actually commercialized, it would lead to a disconnect from reality and chronic/dangerous indebtedness.

To my beloved thief
Award of the Year to the female lead's father. He married her to a dying 70-year-old.She, a mix between Robin Hood and William Tell, steals from the rich to give to the poor. She meets the prince, and from the fourth episode onward, their bodies are swapped. I didn't appreciate this identity swap because I've seen this pattern in several series (for example, Taking the Male Lead's First Night / Secret Garden / My Runway / Mr. Queen, to name a few). I thought to myself... "Why?" But in this series, they thought they could confuse viewers and complicate things even further by sometimes temporarily returning characters to their roles, even if they weren't in the story.
In the first part, some of the music seemed too Hollywood for the period and didn't fit the context.
The character of the prince, on the other hand, made me sad. Poor guy, he was rejected several times, despite his courage in declaring his love, and it wasn't enough. His brother (the king) was thought to have killed his beloved's father. As a prince, when their roles were reversed, he also had to play a nurse.
A plot that didn't convince me. The king's abdication and the death of the traitorous minister especially didn't satisfy me.
While the ending makes sense because it ties in with the wish expressed by this "thief," which came true.

TOP photo shooting
I really liked the novelty of the photo shoot. It's clear the cast wasn't chosen at random. They aim for high standards of beauty, including Miss Korea, athletes, and photogenic people like models and actors. I have no complaints about it, because it's beautiful to look at, but on the other hand, I feel like they somehow "look fake" and are acting rather than truly interested in finding their soulmate. In this season, compared to the other four, I missed the part where they get to know each other in their bedrooms, where their personalities could have emerged more (where they sleep, when they wake up, small gestures like brushing their teeth together or drying their hair...) than in the restaurant or in a group setting, where those personalities aren't easily revealed.
During the last dinner, I was disappointed that they didn't show everyone's reactions to the two taboo things they couldn't reveal: their age and job. I also found it unfair that the questions weren't asked to everyone, but almost exclusively to Go Eun.
What about the news that one of the commentators, Hong Jin Kyung, was supposed to apologize to Mina for something she said about her? Afterward, there was a real sense of self-censorship and a restraint in the comments, and I'm disappointed about that. Personally, I think they're all excellent and never inappropriate.
Mina, for sure, was a self-centered figure who repeatedly disrupted the stability of some couples just for the sake of getting attention. I also find her final choice purely selfish, so as not to go out alone. A woman like Min Gee, direct and honest, my best, would have been much better. Another woman who made us despair was Go Eun, who, the entire time, kept three men on edge before surprising us with her final choice. On the men's side, I'll definitely remember Jae Jin with his guru-like aplomb: calm, reassuring, and quite intriguing.
"Paradise," the 5-star Inspire Hotel in Incheon, was truly a fairytale.
After every reality show of this kind, I'm always curious to see if the couples hold up outside the bubble that is the show, or if they fall apart in everyday life. In this regard, I saw that six episodes of "Single's Inferno Reunion" are scheduled to air on February 14, 2026, which I absolutely must watch.

From the stars to the stables
I love Jung Kyung Ho's character, cunning and intelligent, yet playful. It's a shame that because of a video showing him being corrupt, he's demoted from a prodigy judge to the newest addition to a small, dank "PRO BONO" law firm.
Far below his expectations, he makes a deal to work there for only one year, after which he'll be nominated for chief judge. Since the agreement stipulates a 70% success rate, he'll give it his all.
The cases he'll take on are truly unique, but with his acumen and the cooperation of his team, they'll achieve good results.
Unfortunately, the video circulating about him reaches his colleagues, who begin to doubt his actions.
At that point, the man who wanted to frame him turns to his own team to defend him.
So he finds himself in court having to defend himself against his own subordinates.
From episode 9 onwards, the situation becomes even more interesting. The ending is consistent with his personality, and I could see a future "Pro Bono 2" coming up.

Modern Robin Hood
Compared to the first season, I found it more violent, with situations taken to the extreme. This made me stop watching several times and made me reluctant to continue. This time, these Robin Hoods of cons help prosecutors frame criminals, even making a profit.
Their desire for revenge for the death of their partner and for the prosecutor to get justice for the murder of her boyfriend will finally be satisfied.
The actor Song Seung Heon (Ha Ri) always cool, but I missed Kristal from the first season.
PS: Episode 10 is practically the summary of the entire story.

The last episodes are a bit confusing.

Drugs and friendship
A drug enforcement officer is captured and drugged to the point of becoming addicted to this new substance. Upon his release, he tries to discover who did it and what ties him to the death of his old friend, who apparently committed suicide. His investigation will lead him to relive situations dating back to 20 years earlier, when a serious incident had led him to separate from his friend and to never forgive him in the years to come.
A reporter who was their coursemate and who, along with him, is the beneficiary of his insurance policy, will help him and she will stay next him.
Why, with a wife and closer "friends", did he leave this large sum to these two?
A tangled story of drugs, murders, betrayals but also of friendship.
I think Ji Sung acted masterfully, as in other series like The devil judge, Doctor John or Defendant.

Behind every great man, there is always a great woman
A man becomes President thanks to his wife, but he wants to divorce her at all costs to "protect" her. Twenty years of marriage and a daughter, but at a certain point he'll be forced to choose between his family and the mission for which he wanted to become President: to pass this "special act" to bring justice to friends who died in a fire at a chemical plant. For mysterious reasons, his wife was the first to want to block the passage and refuse to divorce.
To protect herself, she hires the only lawyer who accepts her, a friend of her husband. He also betrays her, stealing evidence from her and handing the bag to the President.
At a certain point, the plot thickens, and it's no longer clear who's the good guy and who's the bad guy, who's upright and who's a traitor. Everyone is seeking revenge for the death of a mother, a friend or their parents.
In the end, I felt disappointed by this powerful "Madame," whom I pitied throughout the series but who also had her share of blame.
They could have saved the final scene because we're short on time. They don't find him, but how (?) she knew perfectly well where he was. In the meantime, she was hospitalized, recovered, had time to give a conference about her beloved husband (to whom she had told she had only used him to achieve her goals), then she waits for the rescuers to find him and... surprise... a word, which I won't reveal!
