always wanted to watch this finally I started watching today now I can't stop it. I hated lee Jiahn character…
And I must say that Jang Ki Yong did a great job here. I hated his character so much (and I confess, it was very uncomfortable to watch his scenes). You can feel how conflicted and angry he is.
I’ve watched many kdramas but this is the best one I’ve seen. this is such a masterpiece that I can’t seem…
I really like the fact that there is little to no exposition (thanks to the writer for not doubting my intelligence) and yet the characters say a lot about how they feel. And in some parts it's never clear what the characters are thinking, leaving it open to the viewer's interpretation (and I'm saying this in a positive note).
i didn't get what happened to Jung Jeong Hee and his guy at the end?it seems she didn't find peace
I believe she started the healing process when she allowed her friends to talk about him and when she finally 'confronted' him after all these years. Some arcs in this drama are left as working in progress.
I think they tried to leave the ending half open. She walks into the tunnel so she should be dead, but they have…
I watched this drama a long time ago, so I may not remember everything. She doesn't actually die, she is punished by becoming immortal (time doesn't pass for her). This punishment ends when she helps a specific number of souls. After completing the mission, she is released and enters the tunnel. Living people can enter the tunnel, which effectively causes their death (ML enters the tunnel at a certain point and almost die).
I still don't understand - Is Jang Man Wol dead or is she alive? I'd think that she is dead, can't imagine a 1300…
I think they tried to leave the ending half open. She walks into the tunnel so she should be dead, but they have the additional scene after that. I think it would be better to commit to one of the alternatives: either consider her to have died as she has completed her "mission" or assume she has returned to being mortal and continue from there.
This one had been on my "plan to watch" list for a long time, just waiting for the right mood. I like almost everything about this show. The characters are complex and believable. The pacing is on point. This is my kind of "love" story.
It's not an emotional roller coaster. It's calm and subtle like the change of seasons. Definitely deserves my first rating above 9.
This is my least favorite of the series. Unfortunately, I didn't like Shi Won enough to really care about her problems and feelings. Tae Woong is a bit weird and I really didn't see any justification for him being so desirable. And I'm not even questioning if he's handsome or not, I just can't see anything special that sets him apart from the others (although the series tries to show how great he is). Yoon Jae is kinda OK.
One thing that bothered me was Ye Won's (Shi Won's sister) "subplot". I find it very strange that no one ever points out the fact that the guy who loved Ye Won turned to her sister later. I'm not bothered by the fact itself, but not even Shi Won though about it? Is he really in love with her or is it just because she somehow reminds him of her sister?
I think the Yoo Jung's comedic relationship was more developed and interesting than that of the leads.
I know it's a psychological drama, that's why I said before that it has some interesting topics. And I never questioned why FL is like that, I just said that the way she treats ML and how submissive he is just bothers me too much.
It is a sad ending, everyone will leave to the afterlife letting go of their resentment and grudges and making…
Honestly, I think they couldn't decide between sad or happy (or they were forced to make it happier). I could only see two possible endings: "release" Man Wol so she could continue living (and aging) or take her into the afterlife. I really thought they'd do the first one, as they say her life stopped when she became the owner of the hotel (and people live happily ever after).
I don't mind a sad ending, but I think it was weak. I was hoping for a more emotional departure and they should definitely get rid of that "dream" sequence with the two of them together.
I can understand why some people didn't like the ML (or why they had SML syndrome). The ML is kind of bland and I expected more character development. I don't mind weird or cold characters, but they need to be likeable enough for people to care about them (FL from Encounter is a good example). I wasn't completely convinced why the leads liked each other. At some point I didn't care who the FL ended up with anymore, as the leads fought and made up in almost every episode. I liked the ML in the last episode and this version of him should have been introduced sooner.
Despite that, I enjoyed the show. The FL and her family were good. The mystery took a long time develop, but I can't complain because it motivated me to finish the show. I wasn't expecting a great romance, but at least something more emotional.
Short and cute story. The first and the last episodes were a little weaker compared to the rest, but overall pretty enjoyable. I really liked the leads and their relationship (as friends and then as a couple). Since it's short things happen a little too fast, but there's no cringe moments and even the support characters have some development.
I watched this a while ago, but it still bothers me that they kinda screwed up the FL making her so dependent. She was supposed to be a NIS agent, she should be a little more badass.
