This is my second try. I like almost all characters and their interactions are very entertaining, but the plot between the main characters is unnecessarily slow. Also, the FL is too childish for my taste, even for her age.
I'm halfway through and I think it's OK, but it lacks a lot of relationship development. Not just between the protagonists, but with other characters as well. The relationships between the leads lack depth: there are some special moments, but they feel disconnected and their meaning is diminished because they don't have much consequence (e.g. the issue FL has about trusting others with food). I was hoping that FL would build an interesting relationship with the ML family, but I was left with some superficial connections, just enough to move the story along. The overall story is interesting, but I don't feel motivated to finish the show.
Tried to watch for the second time, but finally dropped at episode 6. Is not bad, it's just not interesting enough. The first part of the story (in the school) was more interesting them when they are in the hospital.
In the hospital, the characters are not interesting and I don't care much about them. I was much more interested in the relationship between Hye Jung and Yoon Do and a couldn't care less about Ji Hong. He's not a bad character, but nothing about him stands out. Someone in the comments said that would be better to not have Ji Hong, and I agree.
Last 5 eps felt like a drag to me, it got boring so I skimmed through the eps, nevertheless it was okay. I wouldn't…
I liked the drawings actually. The other points don't bothered me. Just out of curiosity, what country are you from? I'm asking because the age gap seems to be controversial for many people here. I suppose it could be a cultural thing.
Well, there were some controversial stuff in the first two episodes... but I think what ruined this drama was…
I understand your point, but it doesn't bother me. To be honest, I consider a good romance to be one that can convince me that the characters like each other without needing physical touch. That's why I like movies like 'Pride and Prejudice', for example.
In my opinion My Demon has the best OST I mean the intro song is just 🤭🤭🤭 (BTW for anyone who doesn't…
For me, "Encounter" and "Call it love" are the best intros I've seem so far (music and visuals). The theme music for "Be my boyfriend" is also great (and catchy). But I really like the Backstreet Rookie's OST .
you failed to understand that all the initial rave reviews were from teenage SK fans who already decided that…
I think it should be OK to rate before finishing (as a partial rating), but I understand people misuse this feature. In practice, rating before finishing should be enabled only if someone dropped the show.
It's a regular show (around 6-6.5 for me) and I expected a little more. It started out interesting, but got boring in the second half. I put it on hold after episode 11 and may give it another chance later. Some subplots are good, but they are not developed consistently. After the protagonists get together, their relationship and character development seems to stall, nothing really interesting happens. Kim You Jung does a good job with what she got and Song Kang is acceptable (the script doesn't help), but I think You Jung worked better alongside Ji Chang Wook in 'Backstreet Rookie' (the script may have helped a lot in this case).
Very interesting in the first half and acceptable in the second. Honestly, they should have condensed the story into 12 episodes. Not that the story is dragged or boring, but many events are unnecessary as they are resolved quickly and have little relevance to plot. Some episodes of the second half were hard to go through. The ending also left something to be desired, I found it a bit rushed and it didn't have an emotional ending.
I thought it was okay, although I really enjoyed the humor. I have mixed feelings about the ending: it was interesting and kind of clever, but at the same time it didn't give much importance to the feelings that Dae Chung developed.
Interesting most of the time, but it's quite hard for me to get past episode 19. It seems like there was a lack of interesting content to fill the remaining episodes and they started adding a sequence of loosely connected scenes and events. The interactions between the couple also started to become quite mechanical.
The drama seems OK, but I find it difficult to get past episode 4 (second time trying to watch). It seems the leads developed and showed interest in each other too fast.
I really don't understand how some people see Shi Yi's aggressiveness as a sign of affection or something romantic/fun. At first, I didn't care much, but at a certain point, it began to bother me the way he treats her in their interactions. He's usually so harsh and physically abusive, too much to call it a "friendly teasing". They should've toned it down.
I have a mixed feelings about this drama. Most characters are very good (main and secondary), and the family dynamics are quite interesting. The fathers are great. I think the low point is Ling Xiao. He is the typical male protagonist: serious, expressionless, an exemplary student, and successful professionally. I understand that there may be a cultural issue here, but he is too uninteresting. The dynamics between the siblings are great, and the drama has some very good and emotional scenes, but the dynamics between Ling Xiao and Jia Jian as a couple is dull and cringe. Maybe it would have been better with Zi Qiu, but I would prefer if there were no romance between them at all. Not that I have a problem with a relationship between them, but the execution probably wouldn't be good in any case.
Somebody tell me why she chose the ML over SML I'm up to ep 8 and I truly dont see anything to like about ML and…
I don't like this type of ML, but unfortunately it's so common in cdramas. He's boring and barely evolves as a character. At least the secondary couple is interesting.
Although kind of cute, I find his character somewhat bland. Sometimes he's too similar to Ji Hoon' character, which is supposed to be bland and inexpressive. And it's easy to root for ML because SML is not much likeable.
In the hospital, the characters are not interesting and I don't care much about them. I was much more interested in the relationship between Hye Jung and Yoon Do and a couldn't care less about Ji Hong. He's not a bad character, but nothing about him stands out.
