I feel like a lot of people are overlooking some really gross shit that was done so far in the Thai version; 1. The entire issue of this story is that Ryo felt entitled to his feelings for Anda. He was upset to find that Anda was in fact not a girl all along, which is fair, but the way he guilted Anda of all people over it for so long was just hard to look past and I really don't know how people think they're a cute couple after that. 2. Ryo strips Anda without consent to make the final call of whether or not Anda was a boy all along, which is (say it with me now) heavily transphobic and also fucking disgusting. Obviously Anda is not a woman as he doesn't identify as one and it was wrong for the directors to not just show Anda as he was but it was far from Anda's fault and he should have never had to apologize for that especIALLY after being forcefully stripped??? Many things were wrong with the source material they went off of in the first place but i'm heavily disappointed in the fact that they didn't think to cut any of this disgusting shit. like seriously these actors are two of the most popular in bl right now and this anime was already big to begin with so to think that they knew this would gain popularity and still went with the disgusting source is putrid. To wrap it up I guess i'm not sure what I expected since transphobia is so common but honestly I never thought that in 2022 there would still be a show about a cis man who was confused for a woman and therefore stripped and ending up falling in love with such a creep.
