Day is mean, aggressive, chauvinistic, and abusive.
Itt is passive, whiny, secretive, and maybe cheating/definitely a withholder.

Can Long Lee's good looks and hot body really hold this series together? If they keep giving him at least one shirtless scene per episode, then maybe.

Let Nick and Night take their shirts off too!

Title On Cloud Nine Spoiler
hmmmmmmmmmm, well I watched this because I wanted to see what Rossi could do outside of Love Syndrome and based on that I suppose I am happy enough.

Chiang Mai is beautiful. But I am not gonna confuse the beauty of the filming location with a beautiful story. Phuket is beautiful and I Told Sunset About You is a beautiful story enhanced by the filming location.

I think ultimately the script was really shallow with some key details. The twin's relationship with each other and their timeline with Tiew and how Tiew and one of Mork/Mon died.

Leaving those three things unanswered or glossed over just made for a shallow binge for me.

The unfinished business/99 days plot timer was a fine idea. Having the angel/keeper of the dew guy be sort of a part of the story was.... maybe a good idea but needed a little more I think.

The twin switcheroo plot just made me think of Gun in Not Me. That's an actor playing twins very fucking well. Here was an actor playing the same person twice. But that could be a product of the script not thinking any deeper about Mork and Mon other than idk. I'm still not sure what the point was since the story tells us, Mork left for three years. Mon didn't date or make a move on Tiew in those three years. And then Tiew dies and 90 days later Mork dies. And they reconnect in the afterlife and run into oblivion together and Mon is just reading manga at the house chilling.
Like, what?

I guess for me each of the three "pillars" of this series was done way better by other series. Not Me for twins. I Told Sunset About You for having the location enhance and not hide the series. He's Coming To Me for ghosty afterlife love plot.

I think the two leads were fine enough and I'd watch them together in something else. I just hope the something else is more thought out than Mon.

how many fkn characters were introduced in episode 3 lmao

at least the plot has moved out of the world's blandest hospital room

like this show doesn't deserve analysis or theory-crafting but I can't help myself.
So it seems like Itt was not cheating but also softly encouraging or rather, not discouraging Ball's advances. Did Day also hit Itt because of it or did Itt get those face bruises by idk not having cake for a day.

all these secondary characters tip toeing around whatever Itt did is annoying me both as a viewer and also empathizing with Day. Like dude has amnesia and has a hole in his memory, he is presently conscious and seeing and responding to all of you being so damn cagey and vague and evasive about his direct questions about his life.

2/3 of the cast: "it's better if you remember it yourself"
Me if I was Day: "fuck off, I almost died and have a 3 year gap in my memory. Give me the crib notes about who I am and how I got here."

Even Night is getting into this keep Day in the dark (pun intended) bullshit. The actor is still visually appealing enough for me not to be overly annoyed at him but the thirst goggles might wear off.

I like Kokliang's bubbly but aggressive, flirty but shy character. He's like an anime genki girl and since he only has like 5 minutes per episode it's not annoying. I do hope he also takes his shirt off in this because I think the director or script writer realized they can just paper over the glaring flaws in this product by having Lee take his shirt off a lot.

Honestly everyone should be topless in this series. The parents too. It just might salvage whatever can be saved from this stress test gone awry.

I still hate that Kris Jenner wig they barely have atop Frank's head.

Also the mafia flashbacks and that Kim guy..... why. Why was that necessary and why did Kim look into the camera so much. A random stranger handing a kid a gun and then adopting him into the mafia is also very anime. "hey you look like a troubled orphan in need of love and guidance, well, I don't have none of that but I do have this evil empire I'm building."

My now dream ending for this series is for Night, Nick, and Day to all bang or shower together or something while Itt's wig burns in the background.

WOW. This is astonishingly bad. I'm not even hate watching, I'm just incredulous that what we're seeing is the version they decided to air.

The subtitles are laughably poor quality. I think I'll be debating what's worse - the plot, the subtitles, or Frank's hair for a very long time.

I am going to finish this series. I have enjoyed Kokliang and Lee in their previous roles and they're why I was first interested. Rossi is interesting me a lot. The trailers said this would be the erotic series of the year and I knew I was in for a treat and boy am I getting treated.

This series is in no way good but I can't look away.

So let's just see how bad this dumpster fire can get.
On Love Syndrome III Mar 5, 2023
well this looks to be a radioactively toxic dumpster fire and I can't wait to see how bad it gets.

I WANT CAKE OR YOU DON'T LOVE ME. lmao get fucked

the bar fight was actually camp

I'm not saying this series will be good, quite quite the opposite, but I will enjoy ugly laughing through ti
On My Beautiful Man: Eternal Mar 3, 2023
so there might be two advanced screenings at the end of March. Their social media has literally no-interfan support so I hope I'm understanding that correctly. But I will definitely throw my travel plans out the window to try and attend one or both.

So who’s your number one favorite character? I thought Kiyoi matured so much this season and really started…
GBS2 and GBTM are both really good. Similar to how UtsukareS2 gave more focus on Kiyoi GBS2 and GBTM gave more focus to Gav.

I wouldn’t disagree that Kiyoi is more complicated than Gav. But I don’t hold that against Gav. Gav is truly honest and straightforward with his feelings. Kiyoi is tsundere and even as he grows and speaks to Hira in a way that suits Hira, you can feel Kiyoi’s fond annoyance at Kiyoi having to compromise for Hira. Kiyoi did absolutely blossom and it was great to see.
Gameboys is also my first bl so that’s another reason Gav and Gameboys remain my number 1.

Gav from Gameboys.
Kiyoi's growth across season 1 and through season 2 is the best. Any Kiyoi pov moments are just magical for me. He completely undercuts how unreliable of a narrator Hira is and also shows his own vulnerable and blindspots too.
s2e2 is probably my favorite episode of the season. Kiyoi vs Koyama over Hira was magical.

I guess even as the bar of BL still rises and gets better over time. There are some series that are just... not it.
Maybe their Our Skyy 2 episode will be good.
Perth had the best acting and character out of all the younger cast. Like a re-tooled version of this following Chopper and Kit could have been really good.
Whatever, it was clear to me by the first few episodes what this series would be and it did as much as it could.
I guess the highlight of the series was the runaway/beach arc with Palm's mom.
That's why she had to die. She was making this series enjoyable for me. So they had to get rid of her.
On My Beautiful Man Season 2 Mar 1, 2023
Kiyoi took Oh-Aew's spot as my second favorite bl character and Utsukare could take my number 2 franchise depending on the movie.

This season was stellar. I loved Kiyoi and how much he really wants to be with Hira and how much Kiyoi compromises trying to provide space for Hira to step up while still acknowledging that Hira is Hira and if Hira weren't so... in desperate need of therapy, he wouldn't be the person Kiyoi chose.

The supporting cast really helped buttress the series as they helped push and challenge Kiyoi and Hira. Koyama as Kiyoi's frenemy and Hira's friend was a big surprise for me.

Both Hira and Kiyoi want to have their cake and eat it too but they're just about at a point of realizing they need to decide if they want their fantasy/comfort or if they want to put in the work to have a realized and reciprocal relationship. Talking about if they're toxic or problematic is honestly just a categorical mismatch for me because they are choosing and rechoosing each other and the issues/tsundere/low esteem of their partner.

They've been kids and have behaved like kids, now let's see them work for the eternity they both long for.

I only started this show for Mark Pakin but was really charmed by this show. Very solid series. Can’t wait to see the special in our skyy 2.

Now I don't know if I'm happy we got a S2.I feel like we snapped right back to the same conflict in S1.
I kinda agree but I don’t see it as we’re back to the same conflict but I see it as Hira hasn’t moved on fully from the s1 conflict/frame of mind.
Couples fight about the same shit all the time and when one half the couple doesn’t want to move on or learn and grow, it leads to the circular nature or death spiral.
On My Beautiful Man Season 2 Feb 21, 2023
Kiyoi!!!!!! Kiyoi has wanted to Hira to let go of his low self-esteem and join him in reality and Hira is happy in his own comfort zone of being a pebble lmao. What a great ep.
On 609 Bedtime Story Feb 6, 2023
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
mixed bag after watching the finale
Mint was just sigh... like the actress was fine and I think actually one of the strongest performers in the series but her plotlines and role as obstacle, victim, enabler, and arguably abuser to Dew was just frustrating. Especially since she just bows out at the end and seems more like she acknowledges she should have stopped pushed when Dew asks for a way out instead of her initiating the breakup because she could see he wasn't really into it. Having Mum's sister be the triangle was very frustrating for me.

The parallel universes and all the alternate Dews and Mums was fine. I think it's hilarious that in a few instances Dew or Mum would see the other person and just have sex with them with little resistance or explanation.

I gave the series a 7.5 because I think Ohm did really well not playing the usual kuudere type semes he has played against Fluke.
