dang I wanted to check out season 2 but the comments are not on their side.... it's off youtube now so I don't know where to find it alas, I'll appreciate Royce nonetheless
Just watched this series for the first in prep for Our Skyy 2. A tad slow and lower heat than I personally like but nonetheless I was charmed by this series. It’s solid. Looking forward to seeing Tian and Phupha again.
I needed fewer episodes of the high school era and more episodes of the university/adult era. The heavy heavy handed anti-smoking messages was... a choice.
Between the anti-smoking and the anti-drinking this may be a teetotaler's favorite BL series.
I know! I was wondering if the show would in a… uh game of thrones direction because for whatever reason the siblings acted like they were into each other…
I just scrolled past a video on Twitter talking about how Win gets Team to call him “hia” instead of “p’” and it reminded me that Santa’s character calls him hia… are there implications or am I reading too much into Win’s close relationship to these dark haired males… 🤔
In the hospital scene where Eiw is blaming himself for not spending more time with his mom and Cake is looking mad presumably because Cake is blaming himself or thinking Eiw is blaming their relationship for Eiw not having more time to spend with his mom, yes that was a sad scene, but damn Santa looked good with that glower...
my Santa thirst/appreciation is heavily skewing my analysis capabilities lmao
easily, the strongest episode of the series thus far. my only only only complaint is that bisexuality isn't an option or thought while Eiw and Cake are talking about if they could date outside of that systemic problem with bl's, I was very floored by this episode
Eiw asked (drunk) Cake "did you ever consider how I felt" and then gave Cake a much needed dressing down to make Cake realize how he has always acted towards Eiw and how he's acting now
loved them getting together and Cake getting to shower Eiw in attention and affection
and then Cake started speaking English and I wanted to [REDACTED]
Sun is arguably cruel for not asking if Kim was the guy from his past. Like I remember thinking Sun was a weirdo for focusing on Kim’s feet in maybe the second episode but it was all “foreshadowing” of Kim giving him the red shoe. Because apparently only one person per generation has a large foot in Thailand their feet don’t grow at all past age 14? 15?
it's over. We did it. The series limped over the finish line.
I personally don't think I'd let the barely walking cardiac patient drive a boat by himself but maybe there was an emergency red apple in the boat.
Payu lived so honestly that's the majority of what I care about. Rain hiding a puzzle piece in a letter and waiting to give it to Payu is just as bizarre as everything else in the dang series.
while I was fast forwarding to see if there was side/bonus story, the stills indicated that homedude from Love in the air was the conductor back when they had rehearsals. So maybe all those random friends at the end weren't so random. But if you paid me, I couldn't tell you his name without looking it up.
between this and even sun, I really worry about the actors under the wabi sabi umbrella.
I don't know how to rate this series. It was pretty boring for me, so I wanna be somewhere in 2-4 out of 10 range.
18 - wow, I didn’t think it could get more campy or ridiculous and then we get to 18.
I laughed so hard at “what’s the phone for” If they actually had Kim film them hooking up to help his memory, I would have given this series 10/10.
Sun: I’m going to make sure you don’t forget me. 🥵 Kim: *pretends to forget him the next morning*
Also there’s the fact that KimSun sex produces enough gay magic chlorophyll that white plants completely burst into green. And then the plant goes white again when they fight.
I also laughed at Rain zoom calling in and taking down evil lady while in what looks like a gaming chair. And somehow while Sun is having yet another cardiac event, he is able to muster some karate kicks at The Goons. Then there’s the fight scene. The arrow that disarms the gun man literally is tossed at his wrist. Then there’s the action rolls they made Ohm do. And then the 3 way fight between RainPayu Kim v The Goons. I really thought this was going to be Payu’s time to shine or die.
Then the fact that Kim could survive a point blank shot to the back and hold on for X time.
Ok I have to go to the airport. So I’ll finish this delightful series later.
One last thing. When Kim was naming all the friends, I was like bullsh!t Kim remembers and didn’t just pull names out of his butt for 4 of them.
17 - So Rain flies out of the helicopter, crashes onto a branch, survives the fall, limps X distance back to the barn while heavily injured, scrawls a backwards message, and makes it down the stairs, and presumably drinks himself into a stupor. And Payu uses all his skills as a karate student, live-in servant, bbq server to nurse Rain back to health and also give him the best skin care while feeding him and also setting the subterranean safe house.
And then they plan a 3 month stock bait whatever plan in the Raincave.
Sure. Sure. Sure.
This isn’t even a hate watch. It’s an incredulous watch.
Anyway, hope to see y’all in another series cuz laughing through this misery was the most enjoyable thing about this series, outside of how hot Peterpan is, and Kan too.
jealousy has never looked so good as Santa in this episode! like I really wish this university time skip started earlier because these are the characters I want to see Cake and Eiw are taking center stage in a great way. Well done SantaEarth. also obligatory, Cake was being very problematic, toxic, codependent, and an aggressive jerk at times

well, all's well that ends...

It’s a comedy of errors. Pearl hooked up with the dude first and Achilles told her he wasn’t interested before she reignited things with Ali.
Like some of y’all should get off y’all’s high horses and pay attention a bit. 😇
Media literacy is better than judgement and pearl clutching. Pun intended.
