I went to KaownahTurbo’s fan meet today and they talked about love Stage and how’s they improv’d the love scene. I still am waiting for fan subs but it was a fun event. I think their first as a duo.
Last episode today, what a fun ride this was for me. I never expected prestige drama, I just wanted something fun with KaownahTurbo and Love Stage gave me that. I’m also very glad for the fans who worked so hard and diligently subbing each episode. Y’all are the MVPs. Love Stage was fun, I got what I expected and I’m glad KaownahTurbo got to be leads. See y’all on the other side. Also, there’s no way in hell that they don’t reconcile by the end of the episode. It would be honestly hilarious if they didn’t.
I just think the show is campy fun. I enjoy it. I don’t think the show takes itself seriously and I enjoy it for that. It’s a silly sitcom. Sometimes it’s more dramatic or romantic and sometimes it’s near slapstick. It’s just camp to me.
Exactly!! Like, I wanted to see the gang be upset over White masquerading as Black?? Like they had no idea their…
Yeah it is almost a plot hole that 4 different people all didn’t really care that someone in their gang was replaced by his unknown twin for weeks. Even if Black was “a loner,” he was also the leader and besides all that it’s just bizarre for an adult to be twin swapped. Like someone should have been more curious. Even if they didn’t know about Todd/the coma.
I mean I guess it makes it a little better if they filmed more and had to cut it. I guess I can hope for deleted scenes.
I just think Black was several underutilized and his lack of a presence in the final arc made the whole show seemed… incomplete to me.
I really like your review. I binged watched eps 1-10 and thought that the series was leading to this Black and White take on the world together once he woke up and that just didn't happen. Like I get that SeanWhite and White specifically are the focuses but it seemed really strange that there was not more scenes with Black and his gang after he woke up. It seemed like the plot just wanted Black offscreen only to swoop in every so often and also have tension with Todd (which I did enjoy because after GramBlack was sank, I thought Todd was a good fit for Black's plot/shipping).
It just seemed like the first episodes are building into these big confrontations or conversations that just never happened. So much rising action and then just a "they got caught, got rescued by twitter stans, and (offscreened) turned themselves in and it's happily ever after for everyone."

Overall I felt Not Me was pretty solid. Definitely OffGun's best work for me. I think the first half did some set up that the back half didn't deliver on but it was still pretty ok overall.
White is smart he knew what he was doing plus he texted his bro don’t forget Todd even though Todd is bad he…
@christn we'll see if the last episode clears it up. :P as I said, we didn't see for that White text Black just that he was tweeting. so let's see if it's addressed in the next ep.

We don't know for sure White texted Black. I was thinking that Dan texted Black. To me, that makes the timing make more sense. Because White wouldn't know when the gang was going to leave because they were waiting for Yok to wake up but Dan would know what time and where the police would arrive and their way to leave. So I think White's twitter posts will help vindicate them with the people but I think Dan texted Black so Dan could try and do his duty and arrest the gang and still help them escape with some form of plausible deniability.
Right!?! I think I already love them more than I did GramBlack 😫
I do really dig the idea behind ToddBlack a lot and their scenes are electric. I did wonder if the "one of his friends could like Black" was maybe hinting at something with Todd but I definitely thought GramBlack was going to be a thing. So ep 1-5 GramBlack then after Gram got replaced by an alien, ToddBlack all the way lmaooo
Gram and my feelings about the character: His was one of my favorite ones. Because through this character we got…
I have really not liked how Gram has developed. I joked that he also got twin swapped. For me, since Black woke up, a lot of the characters haven't been making sense to me. It almost feels like Not Me is very suddenly telling a different story at the last third of the season.
Sorry for the spam. But, I'm wondering, who is this person who takes here links to all my channels with subtitles…
Joining the other folks saying thank you. Your fan subs help me watch something that I've been looking forward to for a while so I'm appreciative! Also you're doing it for free on your own time, so again, thank you so much.
