I get the frustrations and I do share them. I also think the frustrations are the hallmark of a situationship/fwb. They've both caught feelings and they talk about everything but their feelings to each other while acting as is they're already a couple.
Like yeah I would have liked this series to be less angsty but at least the angst for me is grounded in what real life situationships feel like.
The mom not having the uncle killed is probably gonna be the reason this series has enough material to last 1 season. Like the uncle is so clearly against her and threatening her... a real mob wife would handle that lmao
I hope it turns around too and if it doesn't I'll continue being here in the comments laughing along with those who make funny comments. Like sometimes that's enough enjoyment for me to continue watching something.
Why people tend to judge as boring or bad a piece of artistic work just because isn't fit the basic narrative…
it's not that much better... like Ohm is allowed to do more and Fluke isn't fainting all the time but this murder mystery is like dragging and the side characters introduced in ep 4 are all actively awful people and they even made Mint who so far had seem like the responsible but still good natured sister into a monster as well. Oh My Sunshine Night had like forgettable and barely present friends but not awful toxic people.
Ultimately comparing these two series is really a race towards the bottom of the barrel but this show shouldn't be considered "better" than Oh My Sunshine Night cuz at least Sunshine was campy and laughable at moments.
People we have another Oh My Sunshine at Night on our hands. We’re rambling around lost in some dream universe…
honestly I'm watching this series primarily because Oh My Sunshine Night was such a damn mess and I enjoyed laughing about it with the commenters here in MDL far more than the show. And sadly Vee and Games are no Peterpan and Noh or Kan for me....
A moment of appreciation for their use of the app "outstagram" It made me chuckle
honestly same and considering my frustration with the episode that was probably my favorite part. I wonder if their Twitter is called Tweeter or something
I felt the same way about all of those things! I do think Vee is coming from a place of insecurity, though, so…
yeah it did feel cheap. like Mum is doing all this investigative work but also has failed to tell his group of friends that the "ghost" he's seeing is named Dew... like he's known that for an episode or 2 and had several pow wows with the gang about his ghost experience and is writing Dew's name in his lil post it notes and venn diagrams and whatnots but hasn't mentioned the name Dew just to drag it out after Vee and Games meet Dew or some parallel version of him
episode 4 succeeded in making me dislike Mint and Vee. Mint - girllllllllllllllllllll move on. What an awful and toxic friend group. Vee - ok so you got dealt a bad hand but now are hurting someone who is both into you and also trying to help you. I do expect Vee and Games will eventually reconcile and get together but I'm also like Games do you not have other options in your life... you might end up like Mint
also also also, the cliffhanger changing Mum and Dew didn't actually see each other misdirection was annoying. Cuz then they made it seem like Mum would look at the picture and now it just feels like they're dragging it out.
very happy that Ohm is playing characters who emote and have big expressions. after sunshine night, I definitely was hesitant about starting this series. I'm barely in episode 2 but found that Ohm not kissing any girls funny but immediately kissing and hooking up with Fluke's character "in a dream" funny too
also how much does he need to cough to show that he's sick
The adults were all so awful lmao I liked mega tsundere Win. I felt Mix played it well. I was dreading the plot reveal for whatever was the backstory with the stocks and when they did reveal it was as stupid and unnecessary as I expected it to be. But even with the minor gripe about the adults and the stock plot, I think Mix and Jan carried.

definitely (probably) a top 5 of the year
for me, this is what a "fluff" series should aspire to be

not my favorite episode of this series so far
