Oh! So I guess I was right...since SY is the watchman, he's the one that killed the man HJ was going to marry.…
Wouldn't they have been around the same age at that time? I dont think SY is that much older? It would REALLY suck if this was the case :(
Unless the reason, SY is so invested in HJ because he feels the guilt of taking away her life. so he's trying to make up for it now.
I'm hoping there are multiple watchmen, and the one who killed the fiance was a different one. Someone older, perhaps his father? We don't really know anything about SY yet. This just keeps getting better!
How did he know she was princess? Did he secretly investigate her or was it drunk nonsense?
I was a bit confused too. But I think when he said she was a princess, he was talking about her appearance. She dressed up that night when she usually dresses down to hide her identity. So I think that he meant that she looked like a princess/pretty. And because she actually is the princess, she was surprised.
Because in the promo she talks about how shes worried how he's going to react when he finds out her identity.
Eunji has been active as an idol and actress since 2012! Her first drama, Reply 1997, who she starred in with…
Yes I agree, her music career is much more successful and she has been active for a very long time. However, quality and quantity aren’t always the same thing. She is also a good actress and everyone is constantly improving. So saying that someone of “equal calibre” should be casted is unfair to say because we haven’t seen the extent of her abilities yet.
I love, love Lee Sang Yeob. But who are these two, the director and writer? I've never heard of any of their dramas…
Eunji has been active as an idol and actress since 2012! Her first drama, Reply 1997, who she starred in with Seo In Guk, was a hit. She's well known, I recommend her work; music and otherwise.
1 - I think the current watchman is he son of the original watchman because if its either of the boys we know now, they were all children when the prince was disposed. They can't be him 2 - I dont think San is the watchman because those eyes in the end of ep 6 did not look like him at all, San's eyes are more round 3 - Watchman MUST know Dan Oh because he held her hand at the last scene. If it was some random character, they wouldn't do that. And since Yoo Ha was with her, it couldn't be him. 4 - I'm thinking San is the crown prince and I think Shi Yeol is the new watchman, maybe they switched identities to keep the prince safe 5 - Where does Yoo Ha fit in all of this? It looks like he may be the son of the main Courtesan?? Who used to be a woman of the last prince?? And now she's in hiding. So maybe he has some royal blood?
So many questions??
But either way, all three of our guys are somewhat connected to each other. Tho not sure if all of then are aware of that fact or not.
I actually understand why they chose to kill him off like that. Honestly, nothing excuses his actions. BUT at the same time, you can see why he turned out like that . Witnessing his sisters abuse + death and then experiencing the same abuse yourself while grieving - no wonder he turned into what he did. He became the product of his circumstances. I don't think he would have grown up into a killer if he did not experience what he did in his childhood.
And I think the writers wanted us to feel bad for him and in a way I did. Of course, I don't justify any of his actions nor do I agree anything he did. But I felt it when he said "I have no one to protect anymore". I felt the sadness for the boy he was and the future he could have had. Imagine Mr. Ji without the psycho killings - he had potential to live a good life.
So yes, he chose to end his own suffering. It makes sense in terms of his character and I feel like the impact is greater than if he had been sent to jail.
But for some reason, I wish the execution of his end was different. I don't know how. But I wish there was more. I felt like it ended too abruptly.
I do want to say that Shin Jae Ha did a great job in his role!
As annoying as HY's biological mother is... I hope she gets some sort of redemption in the final episode. Even if its as simple as her realizing how much pain she has been/is putting her daughter though, and leaving - allowing HY to stay with her family.
I really don't care for the mother, but I believe HY deserves at least that. To know that her mother isn't THAT selfish and for once would put her wellbeing first.
Also, I hope she also suggests visitation. That she will come visit HY every so often to build somewhat of a relationship. Imaging your biological mother showing up unannounced after more than a decade because she needs money and then leaving again? Soul crushing.
It baffles my mind that CCY isn't allowed to have a personal life. The mothers are actually CRAZY AF. I want to know who has this much time on their hands. Absolutely insane.
idk, I thought we saw him leave Soon Jae's house at night? Maybe I confused something but I thought the killer…
I don't know because the brother I think is the guy in the black hoodie that wanders around in the night time (was in the convenience store too). I think the killer is a second person in the black hoodie. I dont think its the same person because that would be too easy. I feel like they're going to surprise us with a twist for sure!
Haeng Seon's relationship with her daughter is so refreshing (especially in relation to the other mom's), she's…
100% agreed! I love how Haeng Seon actually talks to Hae Yi instead of assuming things for herself. Like when Choi Chi Yeol was like "you shouldnt make her watch movies when she has to study", she immediately asked Hae Yi if this was a concern. And believed her when she said it wasn't. The reason all the other kids have resentment towards their mothers is because they're so focused on making their children "the best", that they don't care about what their children want. Hae Yi is doing exceptionally well despite the fact that she's not sitting in her room studying for 6 hours a day after school. (Not that she's not studying herself, but she's studying with her free will and taking breaks as well) Even Sua, even tho she's arrogant, who made her that way? If you're constantly told you have to be a certain way, of course you're going to start believing it. And thats why she hates Hae Yi - because she's smart without all that external pressure. And due to this reason, she's kind as well. She minds her own business and doesn't obsess over other people's success over her own. Communication is so important, and I feel like Haeng Seon and Hae Yi have such a great relationship because they listen to one another and take each other's feelings into consideration.
I feel like the killer hasn't been introduced as a character yet. I do think its the same "middle school student". But during the investigation, wasn't it said that the student's name was disclosed due to the trial If it was someone we already know, wouldn't the crazy mom committee already have found out and created an issue?
It sucks tho because the world was just as unfair to her :( She hasnt done anything wrong. Her father tried to…
Which is fair. I myself want Naksu and Jang Uk to be together more than anyone. They deserve all the happiness - their love is so so strong. I don't even want to imagine an ending where they can't be together.
The problem is that this isnt Buyeon's problem. Why should she sacrifice her own life so that someone else could live in her body? So her actions make sense.
For example, say you are Jin Buyeon. Would you allow someone else to live their life in your body? Watch them be happy while your soul dies? No matter how good of a person they are. Would you sacrifice yourself for a stranger?
This is why I don't blame Jin Buyeon. I want there to be a solution where they both get to live. Naksu and Jang Uk have to survive for our sanity. But Buyeon shouldn't have to sacrifice herself for them. It would have made sense if she was a friend. I'm sure Seo Yul would have gladly sacrificed himself for Naksu or Jang Uk. But Naksu is no one to Buyeon.
It sucks tho because the world was just as unfair to her :( She hasnt done anything wrong. Her father tried to…
Had Buyeon not taken Naksu's soul, she would have taken the soul of the innocent girl. The only reason both of their souls are alive in the same body is because Buyeon has strong divine powers. If she had taken over the body of the innocent girl, her soul would have been destroyed - that is the same as murder. So it's a good thing that Buyeon took Naksu's soul.
The personality of Buyeon I can't really comment on loll. It could have been a mix of multiple factors. I don't believe she was like this as a child, from the little snippets we have seen. But nonetheless, morally, she isn't wrong. Naksu's soul would have died anyway if she herself didn't perform alchemy.
It sucks tho because the world was just as unfair to her :( She hasnt done anything wrong. Her father tried to…
Yep, but Naksu was also trying to take over the body of an innocent girl. Had Buyeon not been there, this wouldn't have happened. I don't think she went looking for Naksu. They're both essentially using each other in this situation. Naksu needed to survive as her body was dying and Buyeon needed Naksu to keep her body from running wild before she regained her divine powers.
Unfortunately both Naksu and Buyeon are the victims of their respective circumstances. :(
They talked about the bells in the preview. Looks like Jin Mu was controlling the Queen all this time 🤨🤔
I dont think hes controlling the Queen. but all the soul shifters went beserk because of the bells. I think theyre trying to figure out why Naksu went crazy and started killing everyone - and eventually Jang Uk at the end. At that time, because the Queen was a soul shifter, she also could have lost her control but I think she didnt because they have suppressed it with some type of antidote.
