This drama left me feeling kind of weird. I liked everyone except the lead actor. LOL. he sucked!! every one else was awesome. i feel like he was supposed to be a standoffish guy, hey sure, that's understandable, but not quite that dead. erg. I loved his brother. I loved all the friends and neighbors. I don't have a grudge against this actor. I just feel his skill level is so poor that he did not do his part justice at all. Or the way he decided to portray his character, well it felt ultra lazy. eh might just be me.
This is sooo cool. :D It has this 'ganbatte' feeling that animes/Mangas have ;)
IKR. I was thinking to myself, "man this is SO much like an anime that forgot it was animated. " it was cute, unbelievable, funny, action packed and TOTALLY full to the brim of eye candies. LOTS. Feel good dorama if ever there was one.
the very last seconds of ode to joy he is walking on a beach. man this guy even walks like a dream. such charisma and sex appeal. HOLY COW, but he has that boyish smile that just kills girls. really powerful presence!!
isn't this based on a school manga? I swear it rings such a bell with me. So I looked it up and SURE enough!!

I'm surprised people found this so boring/bad - I very seldom laugh out loud but I did so several times watching…
totally agree. it was a wonderfully slice of life portrayal of several eye candies and I was crazy in love with three of her associates :) LMAO. No spoilers !!!
I found out that the ost "500 miles" is actually a song by The Journeymen, and the first Japanese cover…
I used to sing that song, and the one about leaving on a jet plane back in my middle school years when it first came out. YEAH!! that DOES make me older than dirt :) LMAO
I loved your list!! I had a couple I found that I have not watched, but it was so nice to see that i was not all floundering around out there on my own. It just feels better when some one else has seen something I have seen and they also appreciated it. Drama watching can be a very solo experience. I appreciate this article and all of MDL for giving us a place to come together, share and discuss to our hearts content. THANK YOU!!!!!
This is one of my first ( not THE first) crushes in the kpop world. this young man seems so happy go lucky with a wide streak of sex appeal. very awesome person!!
It is def going on my list of seriously good dorama. It begs for a season two. I am so glad I am seeing this as a stand alone, I don't know if there is a book or anime etc. I liked this story. I loved the pairing of the main leads. The evolution of the issues was serious but not pedantic. Great watch, thought provoking, romantic, innovative.
AHHH one of my all-time favourite anime's!!! I hope they do this series justice!! Especially Balsa!! But, I'm…
i was watching it and it was only like one hour 12 minutes, I was so puzzled then i saw.. its ONGOING!! four episodes and I am a marathoner. LOL so I almost died needless to say. the REALLY cool thing is that I just binge watched the anime TODAY and fund this totally by accident on kissasian. LMAO I like the movie. it is NOT the anime, but its got the spirit down pretty close.
the Japanese version of this was excellent. cannot wait to check this version out.
scrap teacher IS a light hearted drama, and it has awesome eye candy, great story and fun happenings. Usually you can get too much fighting in a school drama, but this one was very nice. And the "four horsemen".. they are a surprise!!!
