seeing as only a bunch of rookies are in this, most likely the acting is going to be not only basic, but most…
no one really watches this for the acting... do they? It is just good fun and sweet new faces :)

One of the most powerful OST for me was the "karma is happening" song in Warrior Baek Dong Soo. The two male leads were so close at first, then Karma said they would be enemies. SO each time some thing happened in the show that would lead them down a path of enmity that seemed inevitable the song would play.
One man said to fight it one man went with it as inevitable.
And amazingly, the older men had just as strong a fate. It is so amazing and is the first Korean song I purchased. ( HAH)

That OST :

raw translation: oddly enough it makes sense and is even more poignant for it being so raw.
"""

and the fact it was sung by the actual Choi Min Soo is even more amazing.

Agree. Jeff Lau and Stephen Chow are a classic. Tragedy and hilarious comedy at the same time. Not an easy thing…
that they are.

Honestly, you are the very first person I've ever seen that liked the Taiwanese version of H&C. I fought through…
huh,,, old ladies, got to love us. not too sure why, but i loved the taiwanese version, i thought it was really well made, like a manga came to life.

I have disliked almost all of the dramas on this list :( now I feel sad. BUT, in all seriousness, one of the best Tdramas I have ever seen is Honey and CLover, remake of a Japanese drama based on a manga.
cityhunter Oct 28, 2017
one of the best dramas imho is a remake of the Japanese anime honey and clover. the Taiwanese version is so much better than the original Japanese version, as hard as that is to wrap your head around. It is like an anime come to life in many ways, and it is also cheerful, sad, funny, crazy and surprising from the first episode to the last. Give it a go!!!

Really loved this article. Although i am glad it is out, where was it when I needed it? LOL !!
I can get behind the recommendations as well, and I am not finding many left out that I would have added either. KUDOS for a lovely introduction to Chinese dramas.

Let me know if NIF has a happy ending please! And thank you for enjoying the article :)
NIF is not a love story, and if you approach it with that in mind it really does have a decent ending. I was so addicted to that drama that at one point ( while it was on air) I was watching the ONE subbed and the following five unsubbed every day. I have no idea how many times I actually ended up watching this drama, probably over fifty. It is a lot like love me if you dare in that it has a ton of suspense and clearly defined good and bad guys. But it is more of a cat and mouse versus a fist and gun genre. It was the most professionally dubbed drama i had seen to this point and it was so perfectly filmed and cast. the sets were top quality as were the costumes. A truly amazing drama and not one to be missed imho. there are parts of great sadness in it and parts of huge happiness as well. laughing is not uncommon, neither is crying, or holding your breath or wanting to smack some bad guys hehehe. It is a very absorbing and satisfying drama all told. I highly recommend it. If it were not for some ass bent moron fangirls of some crappy idol drama making a one rating it would have been the highest rated drama ever on MDL.

A love to kill Thai is out for a long time but no subs so far, guess no one is gonna sub this one soon :(
the original was some pretty seriously sad stuff, but so wonderful. It actually launched me in my like for this genre!! I would even watch it unsubbed just to check out the chemistry.

The original Coffee Prince is a favorite of mine, so I'm sort of interested in watching the remake.
Same here but it was a favorite of mine because of the sexual tension between the two main characters and because of the angst of the owner. I wonder if the cast can actually pull that off? If they can capture that tension it will be a hit.

Anyone know if this is dubbed?
95% or better of Chinese dramas are dubbed, some WAY!!! better than others. It took a little getting used to, but now I am dealing with it. Looks like it is dubbed

Title Entourage
I don't know whether this is good or not, but because of the cast I felt compelled to read some of the comments…
WOW!! brilliant analysis. Thanks for being aware enough of the two cultures to explain that so well.!!
