Novel VS Drama Shang que – If I remember correctly, he was another demon lord in the novel. An enemy looking to get the throne from DFQC. DFQC ride/spirit animal was called Da Yu. If there is a betrayal, it would be so heart breaking at this point. But looks like Jie Li is set up to do it in the drama. Only time will tell. Bone Orchid – The spirit of Chidi Woman was already in the bone orchid in the novel when DFQC and XLH ‘bought’ it from a merchant. That merchant was none other than Ah (Rong) Hao. He had such a minor role in the novel. But i like the drama twist of Rong Hao ‘hiding her’ there. Chidi woman repeatedly enticed XLH to leave DFQC in the novel. But that DFQC was a meanie, so it was alright. The drama DFQC is a sweetheart.

Came here to gloat and scream: WE TOLD YOU SO! I thought i was ok with TSM's son remaining faceless but it was so satisfying to see the character exactly as i pictured him: Young teenager into his PC games. No more of that makjang nonsense
The cave scene is one of my favorites and true to their characters. As the demon king he expects her to yield As the little fairy she cannot ask him to give up his goals. Ah these two
The show managed to give DFQC more depth. In the novel he was detestable lol And well staring at pretty Dylan makes it easy
