Your articles are always very interesting and intriguing, so as the discussions that follow!
"Are You Human, Too?" is indeed a very pleasant and successful drama, despite its scientific inconsistencies, 'cause it constantly makes us wondering "what if...?", and that's its charm!
I guess there are plenty of people who have strong opinions about everyone and everything, and that's good, but trying to force them on us in an arrogant and rude manner, criticizing harshly every single article or post, or 'defending us' by posting on our behalf is probably the new super-annoying trend! What can I say? Just ignore them and keep up your great work! @KearaMH hwaiting! :)
While looking forward to your article on Top 10 Gorgeous Korean Actresses, the first three favs that I could think of are: Kim So Yeon, Choi Ji Yoo, Bae Doo Na
One of the most enjoyable and easy-watching rom-coms I've seen in a while! Great performances from all the cast members and especially from our two main leads, who had such a great chemistry that surpassed all the flaws. The highlights were 1. Mi So's office wardrobe, earrings and ponytail, 2. Yeong Joon's talking to his sexy mind and 3. the hilarious and totally on point sound effects!
'Ello~! My English is not the best, so I apologize in advance. I've read lots of comments above and I saw people…
Dear @Bora, I'm so glad that you defend your tradition, your beliefs and your opinion in such an honest and elegant way! Very nicely put! :) Those of us who were lucky to be born and raised in an environment where mythology, tales, folklore and legends were present, we sure are open-minded and know how to enjoy the (fantasy) ride! I suggest we leave the AI, cyborg and robotics research and development to the engineers, keep our qualifications (MSc, PhD or whatever) home and answer in our native language to those …#$%... who don't have the slightest courtesy to appreciate our efforts! @Bora 화이팅 (Hwaiting) !!!
Once again it's a real pleasure to read your article! Excellent survey, analysis and interpretation! Kudos for your efforts and the time you dedicated for this! :)
Personally, I have never written any reviews, but only some concluding comments for completed dramas, or some comments on what I like or dislike while watching airing dramas.
Before I start a completed drama, I only read the reviews of fellow viewers with whom I have similar preferences, so almost every time I finish it successfully. Most of them provide excellent reviews, putting a lot of time and effort so as to give their honest opinion mentioning the pros and cons of the drama, without being biased and without major spoilers, helping me decide whether to watch it or not.
When deciding on watching currently airing dramas I only 'trust' my instincts and my preferences (genre, actors, writers, etc.) and I totally ignore some very annoying, biased and unhelpful nonsensical reviews, or even comments, from some hot-headed 'haters' or 'lovers'! I cannot stop them from writing what they want, but I am not obliged to read them, right?
I'll say it again: Ms Yoon is the most powerful and charismatic female lead of this year! And when Jung Kyung Ho gets really serious or fights, he gives me "Cruel City" vibes!
It was about time someone wrote about 30 minutes or less little gems! I’ve seen "My Only Love Song" (indeed a beautiful, funny rom-com with great chemistry), "Wednesday 3.30" and "Go Princess, Go", and really enjoyed them. If I may add some recs of mine, mostly rom-coms: "People You May Know", "Twenty Years Old", "Go Ho's Starry Night", "Koe Koi", "Queen of the Ring", "Thumping Spike 1 & 2", and you should give a try to "Exit" and "6 Persons Room" which are a bit 'heavier', but very interesting!
Great article and even greater writing! I was really surprised that this is your first! :) What about your next being about Drama Specials? (some hidden gems are there, too!)
Such a great article, with strong points and detailed justification! :) "Life on Mars" was my most anticipated drama for this year and it surely didn't disappoint me! If with this article you won't convince someone to watch this superb drama, I don't know who can!
Ok Hee to Na Moo : "Even if things get tough later, you can find happiness again. Right?" I think this phrase summarizes the message that this drama succeeded to deliver! And everyone in the production team (writing, directing, cinematography, music), but most of all the cleverly selected cast [child actors, rookie actors and veterans] gave their best for this incredible outcome! A definite must-watch, or re-watch!
Talking about SFLs for once is so interesting! Kudos for your article :) Probably the only SFL that almost caused me a SLS is Kang So Ra in Doctor Stranger: she was way better than Jin Se Yeon and had way more chemistry with Lee Jong Suk!
A groovy, smooth-watching short drama, full of music and sweetness! Kim Sung Chul and Choi Yoo Ri' s performances were fantastic and their chemistry as siblings was stellar! Really looking forward to their next project!
An enjoyable drama, with some interesting investigation-forensic stories and 'loud' cast. The highlights were the anti-social Dr. Baek Beom and flirting Stella! Definitely watching season 2
A very easy-to-watch drama, funny and lighthearted, but a bit messy and with some unnecessary/unresolved side-stories. [The most frustrating and unnecessary part was, of course, the "evil mother-in-law" cliché...] The love-friendship triangle was the best ever: the romance was very cute and natural, while the bromance was cool and heartfelt - the strongest point of the whole drama! All three main leads were charismatic, but Jang Hyuk's outshined everyone and everything - the coolest hyung ever!
A refreshing slice of (legal) life drama, which deals with some important and controversial social subjects presented with diverge and conflicting points of view. The highlights were Lee Elliya and Ryu Deok Hwan with their cute romance, and definitely Sung Dong Il with his incredible acting. Both Go Ah Ra and L were surprisingly way above average, as they successfully managed to portray their demanding characters. This is perhaps Go Ah Ra's best performance, I would say!
I really don't get why a single young man (or woman) in his late twenties is labeled as a player for being in 2-3 healthy relationships during a period of 5 years or so... Imagine if he stayed with the same woman! Wouldn't we find the romance boring and flat?
