Rie Miyazawa, as Futaba, gave one of the most heart-wrenching performances I've ever watched! She depicted motherly love, selfishness, inner strength, courage and determination almost effortlessly... Sugisaki Hana and Ito Aoi were equally superb and shining in their roles! A tearjerker with a few small doses of gentle humour, but also a warm and uplifting experience. A definite must-watch!
My dearest friends, what a wonderful piece-of your-heart article! So touching, so personal... You have my utmost respect and gratitude for all your hard work and dedication to this beautiful community! Having friends like you really makes me proud... I love you all ❤️
Excellent article and well-fitted picks! I've watched them all, except the last two, and I agree: we need more realistic, even if flawed, but definitely well-written female characters. Looking forward to part two :)
Just watched the 1st ep and it really made me miss those winter vacation days I used to spend reading dozens of books while drinking coffee by the fireplace... now all I do is watch dramas :(
Impressively serene, spiritually awakening, with an outstanding depiction of a floating isolation, this movie is worth seeing for the cinematography alone... Full of metaphors and Buddhist symbols (without being religiously focused) it subtly yet quite poetically highlights life's and nature's beauty and wonders.
It never crossed my mind that, in a japanese movie, a Korean actress would be the absolute scene-stealer! But, after all, it's Bae Doo Na we're talking about...
This slow-paced and emotional film is a call for love and for the diversity of love. It reflects, in a subtle and silent way -enhanced by the magnificent snowy landscapes of Hokkaido and the poetic moon and winter sky frames- the obstacles, sacrifices and yearning that many people in the LGBTQ community have to face when they're forced to conform to the “social order.”
Very well-written, with a slow but perfect build-up and an awesome plot-twist, so unpredictable and full of tension! Impeccably choreographed action scenes and excellent performances from both Kim Da Mi and Choi Woo Shik.
A tearjerker with a few small doses of gentle humour, but also a warm and uplifting experience.
A definite must-watch!
and when it is well-deserved, like in your case, it's even better :)

And I'll probably start Itaewon Class very soon ;)

Great cast, excellent CGI and a wonderful Ahn Seo Hyun
scene-stealer!
