Love the show. Love the main cast. But not loving the last ep, with the last minute golden key mission. It breaks the friendly atmosphere, you can see the disappointment from the others. Whoever created the last ep misison, not cool!
I'm about to start this drama. Reading comments on the ending, so should I continue watching it but stop at the last episode? Trying to safe myself from frustration.
I think if I watch this in my 20s or 30s, I'd be very upset with the ending. But since I'm in my mid 40s, this journey of NHD and BYJ is very poignant and beautiful. It the story of them growing into proper, wise, experienced adults. Only by learning and loving each other, they can truly understand themselves. How many of us can say the same thing about our first love. I'm just curious to know more about the middle aged NHD and BYJ - seeing that I'm close to their age now.
Love these kind of series. It's warm, uplifting, and very meaningful. I don't know what happened to Master in the past, but his present-self is the best version of any man; wise, no judging, and loving. I just wished he'd smoke less though. Now I'm looking for similar series like this. Just watched Izakaya Bottakuri, it's good, but not as great as Midnight Diner. Other suggestion? ^^
Loving this! Highly recommended! And can't wait for Season 2! Though I must say, except for the games, we can't use logic to understand why there's the game world in the first place, so if Kuina said it's alien - I can make myself believe that ^^
The first case is not a big case, but it is relevant. The reason that the case is so small is because Hwang Shi-mok…
Thanks for the info.! I thought it was a coincidence seeing that there are so many Lees in SKorea, but maybe the connection turns out to a big clue. But Lee Song Jae is not in the cast as well right? So, maybe another red herring? Yes, that laywer/ex-judge is dodgy. Better keep an eye out on him.
Both prosecutors n police seems like the "good people" but both wanted to wrestle power n authority from each…
Agree. You can't have a country where police and prosecutor are in turf war. Who should the public trust then? If this actually happen in SKorea, I'd be worried too. There should be a line between where the police work ends and where prosecutor work begins, both with the same objective - for justice to be served. But of course, there's always that selfish motivation, corruption, etc which can complicate things. If the goal for this drama to point out the balance and reformed law between the two, then it's great! Looking forward to it. Seriously, the big guys should copy HSM - HYJ's work ethics.
Bae Doo Na felt like she aged from season 1 even though its just 2 years ago.
It pains me to say this, but yes I have to agree. She does look 'older', compare to other 40 yo stars. Don't get me wrong, I'm a die hard Sun Bak - Seo Bi - Han Yeo Jin's fan. I guess she wants to age naturally unlike other K-stars that use surgery, injections, and whatever. Or perhaps all the filming for Kingdom has taken its toll? I mean seeing zombies everywhere.... ^^v
It might look entertaining and interesting but 1st episode was quite weak. That's what happens when fans exaggerate…
You might have a point there. Too many coincidences, yes, but then again, it's a drama setting - where you only have 16 eps to build up suspense and solve the whole thing. First season is solid gold since it's meant to be a one off season with a great bang at the end. Pretty hard to top that one off. For the first ep, I think the writer did a wonderful job to create a link after S1. We are just given the appetizer so far with lots of clues and innuendoes, right now I'm just happy to enjoy the ride and give it lots of loves.
Don't judge a drama by its viewership rating. Remember Backstreet Rookie had much higher rating than the dramas…
Yeep.. there are a lot of great dramas that are underrated as well. Ratings is only one indicator of fans' love. But soo happy that they did great on Ep 1! *love
Love the first ep! Granted it's not as action-packed as the first season, but it's as engaging - I'm glued to my seat. The next two months will be exciting!

Hahaha... finally SDJ's wife is making an appearance.
Yes, that laywer/ex-judge is dodgy. Better keep an eye out on him.
Btw, where did it said that Lee Yong Ho is nephew of Lee Yeon Jae? Have I missed it?
Seriously, the big guys should copy HSM - HYJ's work ethics.
