it does seem like we may be getting a lot of english speaking scenes in dongguo (the east country).
i'm hoping they dub over with semi fluent english speakers, so line delivery doesnt come off cringe and viewer immersion isn't disturbed especially for an intense war plot like this.

watching all the top 50 kdramas with high ratings on wiki minus the ones I've already watched before. this was one of them. it's not a bad drama I just expected more idk.

tbf though I think that was her idea of what a queen's demeanor should be like. but at some point it became almost a caricature with overdone expressions

update: may need to drop this drama, something is just not clicking. I keep having to fast forward all the supposed climactic scenes. only watching for goran/mirae at this point and they're barely in it😓

chen zheyuan has the most active fans on mdl so comments on his personal page & projects are usually a lot more than usual. the drama itself also has some similarities to descendants of the sun so people have expectations there. even more so we've been waiting over a year since filming wrapped.

hopefully all the hype is worth it in the end

my worry too. he's a bit of a workaholic and takes his work very seriously, so I can only imagine how stressed he is right now about the strain on the filming. not just for the drama but also him, cos he loses out as well. if recovery does indeed take that long, chances are his screentime will go to the 2 other mls.

that's my main worry too. I was just talking about this, no way they halt filming for the period of his long recovery. they'd have to continue filming without him

yeah it sounds serious. reading up on collarbone surgeries and they all say intense pain & atleast 10 weeks for full recovery.
