me acknowledging shi yan is part of the problem doesn't mean I'm making excuses for fl lol trust me, my first thought when it all went down was "you had it coming." I'm tired of her always listening to shan shan and not being firm in her decisions. but it's not always black and white where only one is in the wrong. they're both bad at communicating their feelings and even worse at reading the other. i honestly don't understand how can you gauge someone completely who would only look at you sometimes and say "take a guess" or "what do you think?"

my point is, shi yan can be mad all he wants. i, too, hate liars the most. but it's contradictory to block her, forbid her from meeting him in person, tell his niece to resign and somehow zsy magically knows he's still willing to talk about them😂 when she decided to talk it out, she saw him coming out of the company with another woman and riding in a car. it's all bad timing to make it all even complicated because the writer wants to frustrate us to death i guess. it's just that we can see everything as viewers that you might be able to say he's not complicated but umm, they both really are.

i think it's because zlh joined cent just recently so he's still not used to how the industry works. it's so dirty and full of fake people. i hope he can find the real people he can trust .

shi yan's character was built to be intimidating. even his own niece stutters in front of him. she fell for him because she saw his true personality beyond what outsiders labelled him. she knows he's angry because of her lies but let's be real shi yan doesn't give her a chance to properly say sorry as well. blocking her was a wrong move, definitely gave her much less ray of hope. that's her first real heart break, isn't she allowed to mope? and since shi yan has 100x better common sense he shouldn't have blocked her first then.

very disappointed with shan shan tbh. she even said "idk what to advice you anymore" but before the breakup she had a head full of ideas lol. even sy thinking zsy is just after his money was her fault too ugh and about yi yang, she's also already telling her friend to move on when she can see zsy is clearly in love with sy she's unbelievable lol

zsy isn't experienced with men, iirc she only agreed to be with her ex because he pursued her for 5 years. she was just focused on her career, so is sy. both zsy and sy love to play the guessing game it's pretty tiring 😫

there's angst but different level lol this is an easier watch. and all main characters have their own solid backstory, mostly with angst but not the depressing level 😆 give it a try, it's worth the hype.

yes, very worth watching. the flow of the story is very smooth considering it's trying to condense a 250+ chaptered novel into 38 episodes. the chemistry between main leads is also fiery hot even tho the show's just entering that arc 🥲

as someone who loves tteotm, idk how to compare. they're different genres but kinda similar theme. they have their own highs and lows in emotions, but i can say this is definitely less emotionally taxing than tteotm.

shan shan gives her the worst advices ever. now that her own relationship has worked out, i feel like she felt no responsibility about what happened to zsy and sy. after all it's her fault for stopping and gaslighting zsy when she already wanted to confess a long time ago.

with zsy, i kinda understand her reaction. she's probably too depressed and filled with self-hate to notice sy's cues. she probably feels like she has no right to interfere in his life anymore since he already blocked her and doesn't know he unblocked her again. both very frustrating adults lol
