So true! I really thought no one could top Bai Lu's chemistry with Xu Kai, but Zhang Ling He proved me otherwise!…
what are the other 2 good novel adaptations? I'd love to give them a try too. I'm already dreading the post-drama depression I'm sure I'd feel after sokp π₯²
couldn't agree more! bl and zlh's commitment to their characters are definitely one of the main reasons for this successful adaptation β€οΈ
i don't mean this in a pervy way at all, purely objective pov:
that forced kiss is satisfying for me because it made me feel conflicted. and i know I'm not the only one. why? because they did it so well. the kiss wasn't gentle at all, true example of a "forced" kiss- it was firm, insistent and with obvious desire. bl was in character all throughout. no obviously fake struggle or anything that would break the illusion. idk how bl and zlh talked and conditioned themselves about it but it was so natural and believable.
we can debate about the morality of it but talking about acting alone, hats off to bai lu and zhang linghe fr!

fr! too many scenes spent on 2nd and 3rd couple but there are also 4th, 5th couple π sokp screenwriter/s did a splendid job adapting this novel that you just keep asking for more π
bl and zlh chemistry is deadly~ at the flashback scene of her seducing xw, they weren't even doing anything romantic but omg those stares are electric!! it would be such a pity if they couldn't pair up again π
jxn finally, FINALLY understands xw's true feelings for her ackkkk that scene in the gazebo was pretty intense. they're both desperate but for different things. jxn is desperate to leave, he's desperate to get her to stay. oh my poor heart ached for him when he just started spewing anything that came to mind to convince her to stay even mentioning zz π xw just hold on, someday soon you'll be jxn's first priority and you won't compete with anybody else π
Lol this script is so well done all character here shine so well I'm so happy that bailu choose this script..
I'm finishing it for the sake of it, but i avoid its mdl page as much as possible lol what a headache of a drama and doesn't entice good natured discussions since viewers are almost always pissed off lmao
Who wants to sue the director/or whichever idiot it is for eye damage from stupid lens flaring? How dare he obscure…
what even is the purpose of that other than blinding the viewers and actors on set π it absolutely does NOT have the effect the director thinks it does!
