Yan Mu is honestly one of the best characters in the story. he's a military man but still did so much better in raising his son than those so called "refined" people in the court. duke xue is just straight up scum. I'm also glad they tweaked shen lang a bit for the better in the drama. their ending wouldn't be as impactful if he's as incompetent as he was in the novel. and jxn just has 3 children at this point lol
