those are all situational tho 😅 at the coming of age ceremony, xw himself made a controversial statement. the Xues are out to get the Yan's no matter what. the problem there was bc yan lin himself got into a physical fight. for the prison situation, not even duke xue knew about the scheme xw and the king planned out. she just was at the wrong place, at the wrong time.
this episode tho, i was annoyed at her impulsivity lol maybe bc it's an emergency she wasn't able to hatch out a more solid plan but i think she's too focused on saving zz this time. yeah props to the rebel woman. too bad she had to die like that.

ehh jxn has her own merits too! she's exceptionally witty (well mainly bc this is her 2nd life) and she had the guts to fight bandits and save his life years ago. she's also fiercely loyal to the yan's and that probably touched xw's cold heart.
